Episode 107: Jewel of a Duel (2)

At the duel, Jesse plays Crystal Beast Amethyst Cat (1200) in Attack Mode, who says Jaden would make a tasty snack. Next he plays Tempt to the Crystal (Crystal Beacon in the TCG), letting him play Crystal Beast Topaz Tiger (1600) in Attack Mode by letting Jaden draw 1 card. (The real card doesn't let the opponent draw a card). TT wants Jesse to tell Jaden about his own effect, letting TT gain 400 ATK when it attacks, putting its strength at 2000, destroying Aqua Dolphin and leaving Jaden with 2600, then attacking directly with AC's effect, leaving her ATK at 600 but Jaden's score at 2000.

Jaden can't see that he's been in worse situations from this, as mentioned by Alexis. Jesse sets 1 card to end his turn. Jaden plays Neo-Spacian Flare Scarab (0500) in Attack Mode, then contact fuses it with Neos for Elemental Hero Flare Neos (2500) in Attack Mode, who gets 400 ATK for every card on the field and after Jaden plays Neo Space, its ATK rises to 4600. Jaden attacks with it but Jesse activates Last Resort, letting Jaden draw a card and letting himself activate Ancient City - Rainbow Ruins, leaving Flare Neos at 3700 ATK and while the attack still goes through, with ACRR's effect, since Jesse has two or more Crystals in his Spell and Trap Zone, the Battle Damage he takes is halved, still destroying AC and leaving him with 1650. Jaden switches Grand Mole to Defense Mode and ends his turn.

Sheppard notices that Viper is gone as Flare Neos returns to Jaden's deck since Neo Space isn't in play. Jesse activates Rare Value, letting him draw twice by sending a Crystal Beast in his Spell and Trap Zone to the Grave (The real card forces the opponent to choose) and he picks Emerald Turtle (Tortoise). Next he plays Crystal Beast Amber Mammoth (1700) in Attack Mode (whom wants to pummel the "toothpick of a man").

(Their voice also sounds very similar if not exactly like Jorgen Von Strangle of Fairly Odd Parents). He attacks Grand Mole with TT, returning both monsters to the hand. He attacks Jaden directly, leaving him with 300. Viper comes back, saying he had to step out. Aster arrives, saying he gave up being with the pros to see the Crystal Beast cards and explains the story behind Jesse and the said cards.

Hassleberry isn't believing this at all and Alexis hopes Jaden knows what he's doing but he doesn't. Jaden draws and plays Convert Contact to discard a Neo-Spacian in his and and deck to the Grave to draw 1 card for every monster Jesse has. (The real card just lets you draw 2 cards, which Jaden happens to do). Next he plays Cocoon Party, letting him play Chrysalis Paintail (0400) Chrysalis Chicky (0300) Chrysais Pinny (0700) (although Jaden doesn't state this).

Then he uses Contact to send them to the Grave for Neo-Spacian Dark Panther, (1000) in Attack Mode, Neo-Spacian Glow Moss (0900) and Neo-Spacian Air Hummingbird (0600) both in Defense Mode. Now Jaden uses AH's effect to gain 500 x Jesse's cards in hand or 1000, putting his score at 1300. He then equips Dark Panther with Neos Energy, putting Dark Panther's ATK at 1800. He attacks and destroys Amber Mammoth with it, leaving Jesse with 1600 since ACRR's effect cuts battle damage (NOT ATK points Jesse since you aren't a monster) by half.

Jesse plays Crystal Beast Sapphire Pegasus (1800) in Attack Mode, triggering its effect to put Ruby Carbuncle from the Grave in the Spell and Trap Zone. This in turn activates Ruby's effect to Special Summons Itself (0300), Amber Mammoth (1700), Amethyst Cat (1200) and Cobalt Eagle (1400) all in Attack Mode and attacks with them, destroying Jaden's defenses and leaving Jaden with 400. Jaden uses Fake Hero to Special Summon Elemental Hero Neos (2500) in Attack Mode.

Then he plays Contact Soul to bring Air Hummingbird back from the Grave in Attack Mode. Finally, he contact fuses his monsters for Elemental Hero Air Neos (2500) in Attack Mode, whose effect gives him ATK equal to the difference in their LPs, 1200, for a total of 3700 ATK. Jaden attacks but Jesse brings out Rainbow Dragon..........wait, no he was only kidding and Jaden wins. (In the real game, you wouldn't be able to summon Rainbow Dragon on the opponent's turn except with a card effect).

Jesse explains he doesn't have the card yet (Come here to Earth, Jesse and there's plenty of Rainbow Dragon cards out there). The crowd isn't happy about that as Jesse explains that Rainbow Dragon is trapped in a stone tablet but no one knows where but when it's found, Pegasus will make it into a card. Viper claps and brings the two duelists to shake hands, activating their new "gifts". He tells the class that there will be mandatory duels daily and he'll be watching their every move. Outside, Jaden explains the combo that would've won Jesse the duel but Jesse prefers a more fun combo. The rest of the group see that there are essentially two Jadens but Aster points out that at least there aren't two Chazzs.
