Episode 82: Magnetic Personality

At the White dorm, Chazz defeats 3 Ra Yellow students and "makes them see the light". At the Ra Yellow dorm, 3 of Bastion's roommates are leaving. Now Bastion is the only duelist in the dorm. Bastion can't figure out why he wasn't chosen. He's determined to prove it. Meanwhile, Jaden, Syrus and Hassleberry are fishing for their food. Hassleberry is sick of the cafeteria food (I've never liked it much myself). Jaden says they aren't fishing in the right place and casts a new line, snagging a piece of Aster's steak, or what looks to be steak.

However, before they can get it into their hands, the line is cut and the steak falls into the ocean. Bastion arrives asking the group if he's a good duelist. Jaden says he's great. Bastion says he wishes the Society of Light wanted him. Jaden can't see why Bastion would want that. A disappointed Aster looks on. Meanwhile, back at his dorm, Bastion begins writing formulas on the walls, still determined to prove to the SoL members that he's good enough. There's no one he can't defeat (well, except Jaden or Tanya).

Back at their "fishing hole", Syrus asks Jaden if he's caught anything else. Hassleberry announces that he's starving and eyes Syrus as a good meal. Syrus isn't thrilled. Jaden gives up, saying he'd rather do homework. No one else is too thrilled with that idea(I'd rather eat first). Just as the gang is about to leave to cheer up Bastion, they catch a fish. Aster, using binoculars, eyes Bastion, who is working furiously through the day writing formulas. He finally creates the flawless deck(no deck is 100% flawless, Bastion).

He runs into Aster, who asks where he's headed. Aster isn't convinced of Bastion's excuse. He is, however impressed that Bastion is going to challenge Sartorius to a duel. Bastion won't lose, he can't lose with the deck he's built! Bastion enters the White dorm as others proclaim that he's in the wrong dorm. No one takes him seriously when he tells them his request to duel Sartorius. Chazz and Alexis tell Bastion that Sartorius is too busy for the likes of him.  Sartorius appears, apologizing for his group's rudeness and says that Bastion has earned his respect. He agrees to Bastion's terms but requests Bastion duel Chazz instead. He tells Chazz it's hardly a joke and Chazz agrees to duel.

Neither are willing to call the match a challenge but the duel starts and Bastion plays Magnet Warrior Σ+(1800) in Attack Mode. Then he sets 1 card to end his turn. Chazz isn't impressed and draws, playing Beetron-1 Beetletop (1700) in Attack Mode. Next he plays Frontline Base, letting him play a Level 4 or less Union Monster and he chooses Beetron-2 Beetleturbo (1500) in Attack Mode. He equips Beetletop with Beetle Turbo by BT's effect, raising Beetletop's ATK by 400 to 2100.

He attacks but Bastion activates Magnet Force Plus, making Chazz's monster a positive monster and preventing 2 positive monsters from attacking each other. Bastion draws, thinking Chazz's new deck is more challenging than he thought but luckily he upgraded his and sends his Sigma Plus and Omega Minus for Conduction Warrior Linear Magnum ± (2700) in Attack Mode. He attacks, leaving Chazz's score at 3400 as Chazz explains that only one of his Union monsters gets destroyed. (If the card were in the CG, it would've been destroyed because its 1 monster).Bastion sets 1 card to end his turn.

Chazz draws and activates Pot of Greed. Then  he uses A Feather of the Phoenix to discard Ojamagic to place 1 of his monsters in his Grave on the top of his deck. Next, with Ojamagic's effect, he adds the 3 Ojamas to his hand. Then, using Ojama Ride, he sends the 3 Ojamas to the Grave to bring back Beetron-2 Beetleturbo and plays Beetron-3 Spider Base (2000) in Defense Mode. Next he merges them for Assault Cannon Beetle (2800) in Defense Mode.

Then he uses Ojamandala to bring back Ojama Black, Ojama Green, and Ojama Yellow (1000 x3) in Defense Mode for 1000 LPs, leaving him with 2400, then uses his monster's effect to tribute them and deal 800 damage to Bastion for each one, leaving him with 1600. Meanwhile, Jaden thinks what he's looking at is gross but doesn't care. Hassleberry says it's not done yet. Aster shows, wondering why they're cooking. Back at the duel, Bastion tributes his monster for Plasma Warrior Eatom (3000) in Attack Mode.

By halving its ATK, it can attack directly and  Bastion does so, leaving Chazz with 900. He sets 1 card to end his turn.  Alexis says she would've attacked the beetle first but Sartorius says she's wrong because of Bastion's face down card. Chazz plays Front Change, letting him tribute his monster for Combat Scissor Beetle (3600) in Attack Mode. Aster finishes the story of Bastion's plan and Jaden and crew race off. They arrive just in time to see Bastion lose the duel. A white jacket falls on Bastion and everyone chants his name. Outside, Alexis says Chazz might not be so lucky next time and Chazz throws the Ojamas away.
