Episode 77: J-Dawg and T-Bone

At Sarina's lair, Chazz asks what Sarina's plan is and Sarina says he'll find out. Frost appears, saying he brought Syrus and Hassleberry. Two men appear (Blaze and T-Bone) and are ordered to carry the unconscious duo to Kaibaland. The men reluctantly agree. Why are they taking two unconscious dorks to a funk park? To trap Jaden. Sarina objects that he and Thunder were barely able to defeat Jaden's friends. Frost and Thunder are removed and trapped in cards.

Meanwhile, Jaden is asking where his friends are but Alexis says Jaden is against them. Chazz shows, saying that Jaden's friends are at Kaibaland and to be there tomorrow. They kick Jaden out, saying it's for SoL members only. A man on the ground says he could use some help. It's Atticus. At a campfire, Atticus tells his story of his run-in with the SoL members. Solomon shows, with a sack full of food. Bastion runs over, questioning why there out there when it's nothing like a 4-star hotel. Solomon whispers that Bastion's just depressed as it is. At least let him enjoy his meal. Aster says it might be his last.

Not far off are Blaze and T-Bone, who contemplate the situation they have. Sure enough, Jaden shows and gives both of them burgers. T-Bone offers a duel, which Jaden, to no surprise, accepts. Neither Blaze nor T-Bone can believe that they found Jaden. Sarina hears this and takes Blaze away, saying he'll be more useful now. The duel starts and T-Bone plays Mine Golem (1000) in Attack Mode. Then he activates Guidance to Ore. He sets 2 cards to end his turn.

Jaden plays Elemental Hero Sparkman (1600) in Attack Mode. He attacks and destroys MG, leaving TB with 3400. Next, due to MG's effect, Jaden takes 500 damage, leaving him with 3500. Then, due to Guidance to Ore, he can summon the exact same monster from his deck, so he plays another Mine Golem in Attack Mode. Then he activates Minefield Eruption, dealing 1000 damage to Jaden, then MG is destroyed. Jaden's score drops to 2500. Finally, due to GtO, he brings out another Mine Golem.

T-Bone draws and uses Pot of Greed. Next he tributes his MG for Granmarg the Rock Monarch (2400) in Attack Mode. With his effect, T-Bone must destroy 1 of his own face down cards since Jaden has none and the one destroyed was Dormant Volcano, which deals 300 damage to Jaden since it was destroyed while face down, leaving Jaden with 2200. DV has another effect, letting each of them pick up a FIRE monster from their deck to their hand during the next Standby Phase. He attacks and destroys Sparkman with Granmarg, leaving Jaden with 1400.

He says the duel is about survival since if he doesn't win Sarina will take it away. Jaden draws and plays Elemental Hero Bubbleman (0800) in Attack Mode and draws 2 cards by his effect. (" ") Next he plays O - Oversoul to bring back Sparkman in Attack Mode. Then he uses Poly to summon Elemental Hero Tempest (2800) in Attack Mode and equips him with Element Sword, giving Tempest 800 ATK if he battles a monster of a different attribute, raising his ATK to 3600. He attacks and destroys Granmarg, leaving T-Bone with 2200 but due to GtO, another Granmarg appears in Attack Mode.

T-Bone draws and due to DV, they each pick a FIRE monster to add to their hand from their deck (T-Bone selects Thestalos, Jaden selects Flare Scarab) Then he tributes Granmarg for yet another Granmarg in Attack Mode and destroys his face down Dowsing Point, letting him pick a monster from his deck to his hand. Then he plays Shadow Moon, which since he has 4 monsters on the field or in his hand with different attributes, lets him send them all to the Grave to activate Blue Moon, letting him treat 2 Spell or Trap Cards as Homunculus Tokens with 800 ATK and DEF, (thus lowering Tempest's ATK to 2800) then summon Demiurge Ema (3300) in Attack Mode, who gains 800 ATK per Homunculus Token for a total of 4900. He attacks with DE but Jaden uses Tempest's effect to send the token to the Grave and keep Tempest out, however Jaden's score still drops to 100.

Jaden draws and plays De-Fusion to bring back Elemental Hero Avian (1000), Sparkman and Bubbleman in Attack Mode, then tributes Avian and Bubbleman for Elemental Hero Neos (2500) in Attack Mode. Then he uses Common Soul, letting him play Neo-Spacian Flare Scarab (0500) in Attack Mode (which he accidentally calls Flame Scarab) Due to FS's effect, it gets 400 ATK for the 2 cards T-Bone has for a total of 1300. Due to Common Soul, Neos gets 1300 more ATK for a total of 3800.

Then, Jaden plays Gift of the Martyr, tributing Sparkman to give Neos another 1600 more ATK, giving Neos 5400. He attacks and destroys Ema with Neos, leaving T-Bone with 900. He wins the duel with Flare Scarab. After a brief chat about how T-Bone can still win by losing, Sarina takes him away and several mirrors appear. Sarina says that she wants Jaden and Aster to come and see if Sartorius was right or wrong.
