Episode 75: Taken by Storm (1)

In some weird pyramid-thing, a women recites some weird chant and two men appear, whom quarrel about asking what they can do for her. The women orders them to find their "targets" and bring them back after dueling them. One of them tells the other(whose name is revealed as Frosty) to calm down, it's a team effort. The women hands them a mini package containing a card, which is to be used if their skills aren't enough.

She warns them that Jaden is no ordinary duelist and from what her brother said, he may be "the one". Meanwhile, inside Domino City, Jaden ponders what to do first and Bonaparte attempts to go through the schedule but Sartorius says that his dorm has their own agenda on mind and walks away. Neither Bonaparte nor Crowler want to babysit Jaden and his gang and instead decide to go to the hotel. Bastion asks Aster what Sartorius is planning to do, seeing as how he is Aster's manager.

Aster tells him that's not the case anymore and recalls a conversation he had with Sartorius. Bastion repeats his question and Aster tells him that he wouldn't understand. Bastion says he's quite capable of understanding but Aster tells him that Sartorius goes after top duelists and therefore must not think much of Bastion's skills. Bastion asks for his friends to help out but they're nowhere to be found, except at a famous landmark, the spot where Joey and Yugi were chained to an anchor by Marik, as correctly stated by Syrus. Syrus and Hassleberry quarrel about reliving the past with a duel between them as it was with Yugi and Joey.

Jaden suggests they go to Yugi's house  next and both Syrus and Hassleberry are eager to lead the way. They arrive and Jaden says they aren't worthy to be standing there. Yugi's grandpa peaks out, questioning of hearing Yugi's voice but discovers he was wrong. The gang ask Solomon (Yugi's grandpa's real dub name) to sign their guidebooks. Solomon mishears what they said but offers them a tour inside his card shop, which they gladly agree. They scan the cards. A few of the cards have been redesigned for US as shown at 7:22 into the episode.

Solomon decides to take them on a tour of Domino. Like anyone else his age, he cannot seem to quite remember where Battle City started (although he's right) He stops at another point, where the gang remember Yugi facing Slifer the Sky Dragon (although they seem to not know his opponent, Strings, but with an obscure name like that, it's no surprise.) The gang rush off while Solomon catches his breath, saying he might as well let them win. (Let them win? There's a big difference between being tired, which is what you are, and letting them win) Two men show and knock Solomon out. The gang notice they've lost Solomon and decide to split up and look for him. At the weird pyramid, the women summons up a dark veil that covers the sky.

Several monsters appear (the monarchs Zaborg, Thestalos, Granmarg and Mobius, btw) Hummingbird appears, saying that they must defeat the controller of these spirits or they'll be trapped forever. In an alley, Hassleberry and Syrus converge, saying that they haven't found Solomon yet. After yet another quarrel between the two, a metal object slams into the ground. The two of them discover it's Solomon's bandana as an icicle. Chazz shows and Syrus asks what he did to Solomon but he tells them he hadn't touched him but says to meet on the top of a skyscraper if they want to see him again. (It's the same skyscraper where the double duel with Yugi and Kaiba began, as correctly stated by Hassleberry)

They arrive and see not only two duel disks but a box over the glass pane Syrus is standing on. Hassleberry says the losers went to the Shadow Realm, which Syrus doesn't believe, claiming it's a myth. Two men show, calling themselves Frost and Thunder. Frost starts the duel with Side Attack, a card only made for Tag Duels that forces each player to attack the duelist directly across from them and when out of monsters, they can attack Syrus and Hassleberry directly. Next he plays Ice Knight (1300) in Attack Mode and his effect gives him 400 ATK for every WATER monster Frost controls for a total of 1700.

Hassleberry draws and plays Gilasaurus (1400) in Attack Mode, then since he made it a Special Summon, he tributes it for Dark Driceratops (2400) in Attack Mode. Then he uses Jurassic World, giving his Dino-Type monsters 300 ATK and DEF, putting DD's ATK at 2700. He sets 1 card to end his turn. Thunder draws and plays Thunder Knight (1300) in Attack Mode and due to its effect, it gains 400 ATK for every Thunder-Type monster Thunder controls, putting its ATK at 1700. He too sets 1 card to end his turn. Syrus plays Truckroid (2000) in Defense Mode and ends his turn.

Frost tributes IK for Mobius the Frost Monarch (2400) in Attack Mode and with its effect, he destroys Hassleberry's face down card and JW, returning DD's ATK to 2400. Hassleberry adds it's no big deal since Mobius can't destroy DD but Frost says he's not done and plays Mobius Castle, lowering the ATK and DEF of Hassleberry's Dino-Type monsters, leaving DD with 1900 ATK.

He attacks and destroys it, dropping Hassleberry's score to 3500. Hassleberry plays Pot of Greed. Then he uses Earthquake, changing all monsters to Defense Mode. Next he summons Archeonys (0300) in Attack Mode and uses New Ultra Evolution Pill to tribute it for Black Tyranno (2600) in Attack Mode. Frost reminds Hassleberry of MC, lowering BT's ATK to 2100 but Hassleberry says it doesn't matter and attacks.

However, Frost activates Bit Shoot, letting him summon Reflector Bit (0000) in Attack Mode and forcing his partner to take the damage but Thunder activates his Bit Shoot to summon his Reflector Bit (0000) in Attack Mode and since it was attacked by his partner's RB, the attack is negated and Syrus takes 500 damage, leaving him with 3500. Thunder tributes his TK for Zaborg the Thunder Monarch (2400) in Attack Mode and with his effect, destroys Truckroid. He attacks directly but Frost activates Revolving Stage, redirecting the attack to Hassleberry, leaving him with 1100. Thunder reminds them that they need to be working as a team under Sarina's orders (she must be the woman we saw at the beginning) Chazz finds that Sarina must live in that weird pyramid.
