Episode 67: Homecoming Duel (1)

A surge of light strikes DA island and a voice tells Jaden they need him. Jaden goes to see what happened and enters a cave to hear another voice, telling him phase two is about to begin. Back at DA, Chazz is walking down the aisle of students, who snicker and make comments but Chazz tells them he isn't afraid to get his outfit dirty, he has 3 more. Inside Sheppard's office, Bonaparte announces he has a good idea.

What, he's going to remove the lousy mustache? Actually he wanted to do the whole ponytail look (not sure how he can, given how little hair he has) but Crowler already has it and now proposes to tear down the dorm with Jaden missing and Chazz in the Society of Light. Crowler, signing a huge stack of documents, tells Bonaparte that you can't just go around tearing down dorms and reaches his last document, announcing that he's done signing but Bonaparte disagrees, placing another huge stack before him. He suggests they do things the way they deal with everything else, with a duel as Crowler adds.

Bonaparte has arranged for Alexis to duel for the Red dorm and his opponent has already been arranged. At his lair, Sartorius is glad that Aster could come on short notice and tells him that his flight leaves at 10pm sharp. So he wants Aster to go back to that place? Aster doesn't understand how this is any good for his career. Sartorius says that Aster must have more faith in the cards for they see everything and currently they're warning of a threat, which won't reveal itself except at DA.

Nevertheless, he agrees and heads out. Hassleberry is touched by Alexis' speech and hopes that their dorm survive and Jaden be safe. Speaking of Jaden, the guy is running through the forest and Aster flies down from the sky. Who schedules a duel at midnight? Bastion says that tearing down the dorm if Alexis loses is against the regulations but Bonaparte says that they make the regulations. Aster shows and Chazz tells him that he's in the Society of Light, which Aster has no clue about. Chazz says that he'll keep Aster's life a secret and tells him to make the slackers see the light. The next day, in the arena, the duel starts. Aster tells Alexis to get her game on but a voice tells them it's his line.

It's Jaden, who tells about his trip to the extraterrestrial universe, meeting with the second NS, Flare Scarab and the third, Air-Hummingbird. He offers to take Alexis' place and does so. The duel finally starts as Aster plays Destiny Hero - Diamond Dude (1400) in Attack Mode and uses his effect. Jaden plays Neo-Spacian Aqua Dolphin (0600) in Attack Mode. Then he plays Fake Hero, letting him play a monster from his hand but it's returned to the hand during the End Phase (The real card can only summon Elemental Hero monsters) he chooses Elemental Hero Bladedge (2600) in Attack Mode.

He then uses AD's effect, destroying the CT in Aster's hand and leaving him with 3500. He sets 2 cards to end his turn. Aster draws and uses his Graceful Charity Spell to draw 3 more and discard 2. Then he activates Mausoleum of the Emperor, letting them summon tokens and pay 1000 LPs to tribute them for other monsters. (The real card summons nothing and lets both players summon monsters without tributes and pay 1000 LPs for every tribute the monster needed.) His score drops to 2500 and he plays Destiny Hero - Dreadmaster (????) in Attack Mode and his effect raises his ATK to 2800 after bringing back Destiny Hero - Doom Lord (0600) and Destiny Hero - Captain Tenacious (0800) both in Attack Mode. (The real Dreadmaster only Special Summons 2 Destiny Heroes if it was Special Summoned by Clock Tower Prison's effect.)

He attacks but Jaden activates Negate Attack, cancelling out the attack and ending the Battle Phase. Jaden uses ME to summon Elemental Hero Neos (2500) in Attack Mode. Aster says there's no such card, he knows all the Elemental Heroes (except Neos) Jaden merges them to summon Elemental Hero Aqua Neos (2500) in Attack Mode and uses his effect, letting him destroy 2 random cards in Aster's deck. Oops! It actually lets Aqua Neos remove 2 random cards from the hand (which it does show) Then he activates Heated Heart (H-Heated Heart in the TCG) to give AN 500 ATK to 3000. He attacks and destroys Dreadmaster, leaving Aster with 2300.

Aster tells Jaden that his monster is nothing compared to his monsters. Jaden starts a comeback statement when Aqua Neos disappears. Bastion says that Jaden has much to learn about his new deck (especially since Jaden doesn't know that unless he controls Neo Space, his Aqua Neos and any like him go back to the deck.) Aster assumes Jaden's done and attacks directly with his monsters, leaving Jaden with 200. First he'll lose his LPs, then his dorm. Jaden says he was just getting warmed up. The real fun can start now!
