Episode 25: School Duel (1)

At NA, the man announces their new champion, Chazz and awards him with their best cards, saying that he will "Chazz it up". The crowd chants this new phrase. DA is toast! Meanwhile, Jaden plays Elemental Hero Avian, Elemental Hero Burstinatrix, Elemental Hero Sparkman and Elemental Hero Clayman in Attack Mode, saying that these are his sweetest monsters and they'll whoop whomever NA throws at them! Syrus shows, saying that Jaden doesn't want to miss the Meet and Greet as his opponent has arrived. Jaden races off with Syrus behind him. Sheppard and the man (whose name we NOW find out is Foster) are discussing last year's defeat when Jaden shows, asking who his opponent is. "It's me," Chazz says. He's the top duelist from NA, when did he transfer? When he lost the respect he deserved! Two helicopters show, its Jagger and Slain, his brothers.

Why are they here? To celebrate his big dueling victory! Sheppard asks what's going on and one of the brothers corrects him by saying "When are they going on? They'll be broadcasting the match live." If Jaden had known he'd be on TV, he probably would have combed his hair, washed it or showered. He races onwards, when he overhears Chazz trying to tell himself that he must be the best and win every time. At the arena, Crowler introduces the duelists when Chazz says he'll introduce himself. He has changed, he's the North Academy Chazz, the new Chazz and he's here to Chazz it up. He starts with Masked Dragon (1100) in Defense Mode and ends his turn. Jaden plays Burstinatrix (1200) in Attack Mode and attacks, destroying MD but Chazz uses its effect, letting him play Armed Dragon LV3 (1200) in Attack Mode.

Where did Chazz get such powerful cards? (Armed Dragon LV3 is hardly powerful) Sheppard tries a poorly created phrase for Jaden. Jaden sets a card face down and ends his turn. Chazz uses AD LV3's effect, which by sending it and 1 card from his hand to his Grave, he can play Armed Dragon LV5 (2400) in Attack Mode. (The real card doesn't require to have a card from the hand discarded to play AD LV5.) Jaden activates one of his face down cards, Hero Ring, preventing monsters with at least 1900 ATK from attacking.

(It actually only prevents those monsters from attacking the equipped monster.) Chazz laughs, saying that even with HR, his monster can still be destroyed by using AD LV5's ability, which by discarding a monster, he can destroy 1 of Jaden's monsters that has equal or fewer ATK than the discarded monster. He discards Flying Kamakiri #1 and Burstinatrix is destroyed. Then he attacks directly, putting Jaden's score to 1600. Jaden suggests for a stuntman next time and Chazz sets a card to end his turn.

Jaden plays Elemental Hero Bubbleman (0800) in Attack Mode. Next Bubbleman's effect gives Jaden two more cards since he has no other cards out. (" " <-- This is a shorter way to say a card effect has changed in the CG but was stated that before.) He then plays Poly to summon Elemental Hero Tempest (2800) in Attack Mode. He attacks and destroys AD LV5, dropping Chazz's score to 3600 but Chazz activates Call of the Haunted. Call has been redesigned for US as shown at 15:14 into the episode.

He selects Armed Dragon LV5. Jaden sets a card and ends his turn. Chazz uses AD's effect again, tossing Despair from the Dark to destroy Tempest but Jaden activates De-Fusion, returning Tempest to his deck and summoning Avian, Bubbleman and Sparkman (1400) in Defense Mode. Chazz attacks and destroys Sparkman. Next, he says it's time to bring the duel to the next level, the highest level and plays Armed Dragon LV7 (2800) in Attack Mode.

One of Chazz's brothers points out that the card wasn't in the suitcase he gave Chazz. Sheppard tries his "Jaden it up" phrase but Chazz overrides it with his. Jaden is excited and asks to trade for AD LV7 but Chazz says no. Shouldn't Jaden be scare of it? Jaden says he is stoked that it's been an awesome duel. Chazz tells him he's pitiful, jumping up and down like a fool.

Jaden doesn't have a plan nor does he duel with duty like Chazz. Chazz is going to conquer the world! Jaden plays Wroughtweiler (1200) in Defense Mode and sets a face down card to end his turn. Chazz uses AD LV7's effect, tossing out AD LV3 and destroying all of Jaden's monsters. Wroughtweiler's effect activates, letting Jaden take an Elemental Hero and Polymerization from his Graveyard. (The real card must be destroyed and sent to the Graveyard in battle to get the effect.) Chazz attacks directly with AD LV7.
