Episode 84: The Dark Spirit Revealed (3)

At the duel, Dark Bakura gloats about his newly drawn card and plays it when asked, Jowgen the Spiritualist (200) in Attack Mode, which by discarding 1 card, destroys all Special Summoned monsters (which will always include monsters like Dark Necrofear because they can't be Normal Summoned or Set). With Dark Necrofear destroyed, it means that Dark Sanctuary's effects are restored, letting DB play the last letter of the Destiny Board next turn. In the meantime, he tributes Jowgen to keep Dark Sanctuary in play and sets 1 card to end his turn, taunting Yami about his evil ghost being back on the field and his face down card being another Dark Spirit of the Silent.

Nevertheless, Yami warns DB of what's coming and draws, tributing his monsters for Slifer the Sky Dragon (X000) in Attack Mode.

Marik explains that Slifer's ATK (and DEF) become the the number of cards in Yami's hand and with three currently, Slifer's ATK is 3000, more than enough to win the duel for Yami. Worse still, Dark Sanctuary's evil ghost fails to possess it. Yami goes to attack but is stopped by Odeon posing as Marik, successful in making it look like he controls Bakura and his dark half by having Dark Bakura become regular Bakura.

Bakura has no idea why he's here in the duel or what happened to his arm but Yami can't help him or he'll be disqualified from the finals. It's the perfect plan unless Yami doesn't want to lose the finals. To Yami's surprise, DB returns and orders to be attacked by Slifer.

Yami obliges and wins the duel with the attack sending the Millennium Ring skyward. Since the duel has ended, the arena platform drops and the gang help Bakura back to his room while Yami recalls what happened involving his decision and DB still needing his good side to survive. When instructed to take Bakura's rarest card, Yami, now Yugi, declines (I doubt any of Bakura's cards would be of any use anyway.) and follows the group to Bakura's room. Once in Bakura's room, Yugi tries explaining what happened between Marik, Dark Bakura and regular Bakura before they decide to get help with Tea` watching over. The group ease Yugi's fears of the Millennium Ring's absence and they head out but Tea` has kept the Millennium Ring all along and is now controlled by Marik!
