Episode 64:  Playing with a Parasite (2)

At the duel, Weevil takes out Joey's Defense Position Alligator's Sword, then says his Perfectly Ultimate Great Moth and Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon can take his monster down (then you don't know about the God Cards, Weevil) and doubts Joey has either card in his Deck. Joey puts his monsters to Attack Mode and that puts Tea`, Tristan and Solomon watching in horror then Solomon suspects a strategy. Weevil sets 1 monster, then attacks with Leghul to leave Joey down to 2800 LPs. Next he attacks Parasite Paracide with PUGM but Joey activates Skull Dice only to get a 2, putting PUGM's ATK at 1750. However, Joey also activates Graceful Dice to strengthen the Parasite Paracide's ATK and gets a 4 to make its ATK 2000, enough to destroy PUGM and leave Weevil's score down to 5450.

Weevil's not happy and plays Insect Soldiers of the Sky (1000) in Attack Mode. Next he uses Eradicating Aerosol, letting him destroy any Insect monster in play. (The real card destroys all Insect-Type monsters on the field, which'd mostly be detrimental for Weevil's strategy.) After flip-summoning his 2nd Pinch Hopper of the duel, Weevil makes it EA's target to send PH to the Grave and let Weevil play any monster from his hand (it must be an Insect-Type monster in the CG) and he chooses to bring out Insect Queen (2200) in Attack Mode. Oops! At 7:32 into the US episode, and for much of the time it's in play for this duel, IQ is a Normal Monster! With 5 Insect-Type monsters in play including Joey's IQ gains 200 ATK for each for a total of 3200 ATK. His attack takes out Tiny Guardian (aka Little-Winguard) to leave Joey down to 1000 Life Points. With that done, IQ lays an egg with 100 ATK and when hatched Weevil will have an Insect army.

(The real IQ Special Summons Insect Monster Tokens.)Joey draws, then sets 1 card to end his turn, forgetting to switch his remaining monsters to Defense Mode and Weevil takes advantage by playing Cockroach Knight (800) in Attack Mode and tributes it for his IQ's attack. Oops! At 11:04 into the US episode, CK is a Normal Monster both when shown before and during its summoning! At 11:09 into the US episode, Leghul is shown to be tributed for IQ's attack instead of the newly played CK! CK returns to the top of Weevil's Deck making for continuous IQ tributes. He attacks but learns that Joey left his monsters in Attack Mode on purpose and activates Magic Arm Shield (Magical Arm Shield in the CG), letting him gain control of any other of Weevil's monsters and he takes ISotS, destroying it in IQ's attack to leave Weevil down to 3250 LPs. (In the CG, Joey would've lost the duel since the monster is on his side of the field and the difference in the monsters' ATK was more than his LPs.) In the hospital, Kenta watches Weevil's score drop (too much for the US episode at 12:15 as it drops to 0 instead of 3250).

Joey can't do much but put his monsters into Defense Mode for his turn so Weevil plays Cockroach Knight then tributes it for IQ's attack, which takes out Panther Warrior. Joey draws and plays Gearfried the Iron Knight (1800) in Attack Mode, which is unaffected by Parasite Paracide's effect because of his metal armor. (The real card just destroys Equip Cards it gets equipped with.) He attacks to destroy one of IQ's eggs and leave Weevil down to 1550 LPs (though not shown). Weevil summons Soldier Ant (500) and uses Ant Reproduction (Multiplication of Ants in the CG) to give him 10 ants for his one SA for one turn.

(The real card gives you two Army Ant Tokens by tributing an Insect-Type monster.) He powers up his IQ's ATK even further and attacks. Oops once more! Weevil has the Parasite card on his field instead of Insect Barrier at 18:07 into the US episode! Joey wanted Weevil to attack and activates Graverobber to use Weevil's EA card and destroy IQ. (The real card can only take Spell Cards from your opponent's Grave and if activated, you take 2000 damage, something Joey couldn't afford.) Next, he has Gearfried (not Gearfield as he calls it at 18:59 into the US episode) take out another IQ egg and win the duel.Weevil is too dazed to relinquish his Insect Queen card and 2 locator cards. Meanwhile, Yugi thinks that Joey's Red-Eyes card will help him defeat the Rare Hunters but it won't be easy.
