Episode 129: Fight to the Finish Line
At the duel, Haldor explains that Gjallarhorn not only allows the Aesirs to be revived without hassle, thus negating and destroying Wave Rebound but at the end of the 3rd turn, the Aesir monsters will be removed from play and Yusei will take their combined ATKs as damage. Furthermore, since Thor was revived, Yusei takes 800 damage and he feels it as his score drops to 1200. Next, Loki allows Haldor to retrieve a Trap Card from his Graveyard and he chooses Odin's Eye. Lastly, Odin lets him draw 1 card. With that, he ends his turn, putting Gjallarhorn with one counter. Finally, Yusei's Monster Chain expires and is destroyed. Yusei decides to use Odin's Eye to his advantage and draws before playing Stardust Phantom (0000) in Defense Mode.
If destroyed and sent to the Graveyard, SP allows Yusei to revive Stardust Dragon from the Graveyard and prevent SD's destruction in battle by removing itself from play and reducing SD's DEF by 800. He sets 1 card to end his turn but Haldor has figured out Yusei's plan and explains it all before drawing and using Speed World 2's effect to drop 10 Speed Counters and destroy SP. As a result, Yusei Special Summons Stardust Dragon (2000) in Defense Mode. Haldor's first two attacks leave SD down to 400 DEF after Yusei uses SP's other effect twice.

On the third attack, Yusei discards Stronghold Guardian to give SD 1500 more ATK to 1900, then uses SP's effect once more, bringing its DEF down to 1100. Determined to bring Yusei down, Haldor Special Summons Jormungardr the Nordic Serpent (3000) in Defense Mode since Haldor has an Aesir monster and should Jormungardr change to Attack Mode, Yusei takes 3000 damage. Furthermore, Haldor activates Gleipnir, the Fetters of Fenrir to add Fenrir the Nordic Wolf from his Deck to his hand since he has an Aesir monster out. (The real card doesn't need anything to activate its effect.) With that, he Special Summons Fenrir the Nordic Wolf (4000) in Defense Mode and when Yusei's Battle Phase begins, all monsters on his field will be switched to Attack Mode and both players take Battle Damage from battles involving Fenrir.
With nothing else left to do, Haldor sets 1 card to end his turn, giving Gjallarhorn 2 counters. Yusei draws, knowing he has to play carefully and activates Hope for Escape to pay 1000 LPs and draw 1 card for every 1000 LPs difference in their LPs since his LPs are lower. With a more than 3000 LPs difference, Yusei draws 3 cards. (The real card only lets you draw 1 card for every 2000 LPs difference so Yusei would've only drawn 1 card.) Next he plays Life Gardna (0000) in Attack Mode. Then he removes Jormungardr from play to Special Summon Different Dimension Sprite (0000) in Attack Mode. Since D.D. Sprite is a Tuner (which they don't tell you), Yusei uses it and LG as Synchro Material for Formula Synchron (200) in Attack Mode.
Since LG was Synchro Material, Yusei gains 800 LPs, bringing his score up to 1000. Due to FS' effect, Yusei can draw 1 card each turn. (" ") Everyone watches in shock as Yusei uses FS and SD as Synchro Material for Shooting Star Dragon (3300) in Attack Mode. Now, Yusei uses Speed Spell - Star Force to remove Fenrir from play to give SSD ATK equal to 100 x Fenrir's Level, raising its ATK by 1000 to 4300. After that, Yusei uses SSD's effect to reveal his next 5 cards and allow it to attack once for each Tuner. He gets 3 Tuners, giving him 3 attacks and takes out all three Aesirs to leave Haldor down to 1900 LPs. Yusei sets 2 cards to end his turn and since it's the End Phase, Thor (3500), Loki (3300), and Odin (4000) revive in Attack Mode, leaving Yusei down to 200 LPs by Thor's effect and letting Haldor get back Gelpnir and draw 1 card by Loki and Odins' respective effects.
Haldor then draws, declaring that he'll prove that the Aesirs cannot be stopped and summons Tyr of the Nordic Champions (2000) in Attack Mode. Next he uses Odin's Eye to see into Yusei's hand and field. Then he uses Tyr's effect to tribute itself and make the Aesirs' effects unable to be negated. (The real card only prevents other Nordic monsters from being attacked and doesn't require you to Tribute it to gain this effect.) However, Yusei activates Trick Mirror to gain Odin's Eye for himself, thus leaving the Aesirs vulnerable. Nevertheless, Haldor decides to attack but Yusei uses SSD's effect to remove itself from play to negate the attack.

When Haldor decides to attack again, Yusei activates Zero Force to make the Aesirs' ATKs 0 since SSD left the field. (The real card can only be used if one of your monsters was removed from play outside of a cost.)Since it's the End Phase, Haldor's Aesirs are removed from play by Gjallarhorn's effect but Yusei takes no damage since their ATKs are 0. Dragen is angry that Yusei managed to out-think the Aesirs. Worse still, Yusei gets Shooting Star Dragon back and attacks directly to win. Now it's off to the finals for Team 5Ds!
