| Episode 126: When Nordic Gods Attack | |||
|
At the duel, Jack has recovered while Dragen switches with Brodor and doesn't
share his enthusiasm but Haldor assures that they have the might of the Nordic
Gods and will win. After taking his place, Brodor draws and uses Thor's effect
to negate Red Nova Dragon's effects, returning RND's ATK to normal. His attack
takes both monsters out before Brodor ends his turn, resurrecting
Thor and using its trigger effect to finish Jack
off. Jack makes the swap, warning not to do anything stupid as the damage is
real. Crow has all the support he needs from the kids and takes off. After some
ridicule from Brodor, Crow draws and plays Blackwing -
Sirocco the Dawn (2000) in Attack Mode without Tribute by its effect.
Next, he Special Summons Blackwing - Gale the Whirlwind
(1300) in Attack Mode by its first effect and uses its second effect to halve
Thor's ATK to 1750. Then he Special Summons Blackwing -
Calima the Haze (600) in Attack Mode since the combined Levels of his
monsters is 8. (The real card can Special Summon a Synchro Monster by removing
itself from play but the Synchro Monster is removed from play if it leaves the
field.) With that done, Crow uses CtH and GtW as Synchro Material for Blackwing Armor Master (2500) in Attack Mode. His attacks take out Thor and leave Brodor down to 1250 LPs. Brodor fakes being stressed out before activating The Golden Apples to regain Life Points equal to what he took this turn, returning his score to 4000 and Special Summoning a Malus Token with the same ATK as the damage he took, making its ATK 2750. (The real card only gives you Life Points from one attack.) As a result, Thor appears and Crow takes 800 damage, brining him down to 3200 LPs. Brodor draws and after Solemn Authority's effect expires, uses Thor's main effect to negate BAM's effects and add them to itself. His attacks take out Crow's monsters and leave Crow down to 1450 LPs. Crow had been waiting for this and Special Summons Blackwing - Brisote the Tailwind (1200) in Attack Mode since 2 of his Blackwings were destroyed this turn. Next he uses Black Return to return Thor to Brodor's Extra Deck since he Special Summoned a Blackwing monster and gain LPs equal to its attack. However, Brodor activates Nordic Relic Laevateinn to destroy Thor instead since it destroyed a monster this turn. He then sets 1 card to end his turn, returning Thor to the field and dealing 800 damage to Crow, leaving his score down to 650. Just when Crow seems to be losing focus, the kids keep him on track and Brodor feels he's the only one to protect those kids and explains with a story. Crow understands and draws, summoning Blackwing - Blizzard the Far North (0000) in Defense Mode and uses its effect to bring back Gale the Whirlwind in Defense Mode. Next, he uses Blackboost to draw 2 cards since he has 2 Blackwings out. (The real card forces you to remove from play 2 Blackwing Tuner monsters to draw 2 cards.) Then he uses Speed Spell - Speed Force to prevent Brodor from destroying any of his cards until the End Phase of his next turn since he has 4 Speed Counters. Then he use Gale's effect to halve Thor's ATK to 1750. After that, he uses Brisote the Tailwind and Gale the Whirlwind as Synchro Material for Black-Winged Dragon (2800) in Attack Mode. Furthermore, Brisote the Tailwind gives Crow 600 LPs to 1250 since it was Synchro Material. His attack takes out Thor to leave Brodor down to 2950 LPs. Crow ends his turn by setting 1 card but Brodor isn't impressed as Thor is revived again but BWD absorbs the damage by its effect, bringing its ATK down to 2100. Brodor draws and plays Ljosalf of the Nordic Alfar (1400) in Attack Mode. Due to its effect, Brodor Special Summons Svartalf of the Nordic Alfar (1400) in Attack Mode since its Level equals the combined Level of Ljosalf and the Malus Token. (The real card Special Summons a Nordic monster whose Level is no more than the Level of a monster you control that isn't itself.) Now he uses his monsters as Synchro Material (since Svartalf is a Tuner) for Loki, Lord of the Aesir (3300) in Attack Mode. His attack with Loki prompts Crow to activate Black Sonic to remove all of Brodor's monsters from play since Brodor is attacking a Blackwing monster. However, Brodor uses Loki's effect to negate it since it's being used during the Battle Phase. His attacks leave Crow's field empty and Crow down to 50 LPs. With no cards on his field or in his hand and 50 LPs left, Crow is done for! |
