Episode 82: Get with the Program (2) | |||
Outside, Jack and Crow find the building in lockdown but Crow knows it's the
place Bruno said to go. Now they can't get a hold of him and Primo is still
awakening his army of Duelbots, confident nothing can stop him. At the duel,
Yusei knows he's in a tight spot but if he plays his cards right, it could all
change. He sets 1 card to end his turn so Guard Robot draws and activates
Summon Pass to force the opponent of a player that
Summons a monster to draw 1 card. The Turn Player then guesses the drawn card
and if wrong, their Summoned monster is destroyed. Its new calculations put Yusei's odds of summoning down by 15% and it sets 1 card to end its turn.Yusei draws, knowing he has to stop the Guard Robot quickly and switches Level Eater to Attack Mode. Next he uses Synchro Gift to make Junk Warrior's ATK 0 and add the amount to LE, raising its ATK to 2900. His attack prompts Guard Robot to use Negate Attack to end the Battle Phase and put another counter on Counter Force. Yusei ends his turn, returning his monsters' ATKs to normal. Meanwhile, Crow busts through so that he and Jack can enter a passageway. The Guard Robot draws and sets 1 card to end its turn. Jacob interrupts Primo's train of thought but Primo maintains that it's for the better of the Grand Design and cuts Jacob off. With the download complete, Primo sends his Duelbots to the streets. Jacob and Lester converse about what Primo is doing but Jacob doesn't share Lester's enthusiasm. Jack and Crow exit out of the vent and continue on while Primo initiates a self-destruct sequence that'll occur in 10 minutes, not wanting anything to remain. Yusei now has less than 10 minutes to win the duel or at least end it while Jack and Crow find Bruno, whom comes to. They find an opening in the ceiling and head for it, finding themselves in Primo's lair as well as the duel Yusei is in. Worse still, Bruno's attempts to stop the self-destruct sequence are in vain. Crow reaches out to Yusei and the group learn how dire the situation is but Yusei assures he'll be fine and to just evacuate. Bruno doesn't want to go and gets knocked to the floor as it's not an easy decision for Jack to make. While they head out, Yusei draws and plays Drill Synchron (800) in Attack Mode. Due to SP's effect, Guard Robot draws 1 card and Yusei makes a guess that it's a Trap Card. He's right (and at 14:07 into the US episode, the card's artwork isn't censored as it's Barrel Behind the Door). With the Summon successful, Yusei activates Blind Spot Strike but Guard Robot counters with Magic Jammer (whose artwork is also uncensored at 14:46 into the US episode) to discard 1 card and negate BSS. Guard Robot then draws and activates Messenger of Peace to prevent both players from attacking with monsters that have 1500+ ATK points (by paying 100 LPs at each of its Standby Phases but they don't tell you that). Yusei draws and activates Double Cyclone (and at 16:18 into the US episode, his monsters' cards are not dub formatted) but Guard Robot is ready with Solemn Judgment to halve its LPs to 1750, negate DC and destroy it. Guard Robot is now 100% certain that Yusei will lose next turn as Counter Force now has four counters and even Lazar isn't seeing a way to win either. However, Yusei is smiling and throws Guard Robot for a loop as it was willing to halve its own LPs to keep a card on the field. Yusei Tributes LE for Earthquake Giant (1600) in Attack Mode. Due to Level Limit Area - B, it's switched into Defense Mode, which activates its effect to change Lock Dragon to Attack Mode, allowing Yusei to Special Summon. Next he activates Panic Wave to negate the effects of all face-up cards on the field by destroying his face down Graceful Revival. Then he uses his monsters as Synchro Material for Stardust Dragon (2500) in Attack Mode. With that, Guard Robot changes its calculations to Yusei winning being 100% as it's defeated with Yusei's attack. With 10 seconds left, the group scramble to get out in time but while Jack, Crow and Bruno make it out, the building explodes before there's any sign of Yusei. However, he and Lazar emerge by balloon as Lazar had a spare one to help out but lets Yusei go and still plays clueless regarding the engine program. He won't forget about it and knows who he stands with and none of them are backing down! |
