Episode 81: Get with the Program (1)
Still inside their hideout at Zora's place, the group discuss how and why Lazar would steal the engine program. Bruno then decides to try and find him but Yusei reminds him of how important the engine program is. Meanwhile, Lazar reports that he has the program and was about to get lunch but is ordered to deliver the program first. He gets into his limo, unaware that Yusei and the others are watching close by. He orders the driver to take him to the Directors' HQ and as that takes place, he notices Yusei and the others following and questions how it could've happened. To throw them off, he orders the driver to take him to the mall. Once inside, he scans the area, confident he'll be able to lose Yusei and crew with ease but is distracted by his hunger for lunch and is caught before he can place an order.
However, he finds a way through and slips away with the others following suit. As he gets the lead, Lazar finds an intriguing place to hide and manages to do so thanks to his hologram selves (which are far too obvious as none of them are scared, nor do they change expressions at all). The group decide to split up and Crow and Jack are lured into the bathroom where we can see that the hologram is controlled and projected by a remote controlled car. Yusei and Bruno are still giving chase when the hologram passes through people and Bruno attacks it with one of his devices and disables it. The duo realize that they've been chasing holograms and head outside where Lazar gets in a taxi and speeds away. Yusei and Bruno follow Lazar's taxi to a factory and Yusei fears that Lazar will be depositing the program shortly.
Sure enough, Lazar walks inside and delivers the program. However, after giving Lazar his mercy as payment, Primo finds out that Lazar has been followed and Lazar slips away. Meanwhile, Yusei and Bruno have made it inside and are discussing their findings when the alarm sounds. They bolt for the door closing ahead of them but only Yusel makes it through. They agree to let Yusei go forward while Bruno tells the news to Jack and Crow. Yusei opens a door and sends Lazar flying. Elsewhere, Primo needs time to install the program and activates a Duel Robot. Yusei demands Lazar to give up the program but Lazar plays dumb and misunderstands what Yusei means (even though he truly doesn't have it this time). Yusei is losing patience and hammers Lazar into the wall, ready to deliver another blow when the Duel Robot appears and identifies Yusei Fudo.

As a result, it puts the area goes into lockdown and informs Yusei that he must defeat it in a Duel to be released. Worse still, Primo added in all of Yusei's strategies so it won't be easy to defeat it. Lazar doesn't like the idea of spending the rest of his time with Yusei but the Guard Robot maintains that Yusei will accept the duel (you didn't need to do that when the first thing you stated after finding Yusei is that there was no other option but to duel you). Bruno continues searching but Primo finds him and knocks him out before activating his army of Duel Bots. Duel preparations get underway before Yusei draws and activates One for One to discard Speed Warrior to Special Summon Level Eater (which is actually Level 1 or it wouldn't be a valid target) (0000) in Defense Mode. Next he plays Junk Synchron (1300) in Attack Mode and uses its effect to Special Summon his discarded Speed Warrior (400) in Defense Mode.
After that, he uses JS and SW as Synchro Material for Junk Warrior (2300) in Attack Mode. With that done, JW gains the ATK of Level 1 LE, raising its ATK by 600 to 2900. Finally, he sets 1 card to end his turn. However, the Guard Robot is not surprised, having calculated 45% odds of Yusei making a Synchro Summon so early and activates Level Limit - Area B to force all Level 4+ monsters to Defense Mode. Next it sets 3 cards to end its turn. Yusei knows he has to find monster lower than Level 4 if he wants to attack so he draws and activates Graceful Revival to Special Summon the Level 2 Speed Warrior. In response, Guard Robot counters with Malfunction to pay 500 Life Points, negate GR's effect and destroy it, leaving its score down to 3500 LPs.

Since it successfully negated Yusei's card, it Special Summons Lock Dragon (2000) in Defense Mode. While it's out in Defense Mode, Yusei cannot Special Summon. Worse still, it also activates Counter Force (not to be confused with the actual CG card Counterforce), which gets a Counter since a Counter Trap was activated (though in the CG it wouldn't have any Counters) and it can send CF to the Graveyard and deal 1000 damage to Yusei per Counter on it. If Yusei can't figure out a way to win, the Guard Robot will take the whole duel!
