Episode 80: The Super Genius
Outside, Yusei is still traveling on his Duel Runner and must go beyond his limits before time runs out. Later, he, Jack and Crow are taken out to a fancy restaurant but know something is up despite Trudge and Mina insisting that nothing is behind it. Mina fesses up that a guy with amnesia needs a place to stay and Sector Security cannot look after him. The trio refuse until they're reminded of the dinner that they aren't even paying for but the person in question has yet to show up. However, in the parking garage, they find him messing with Jack's Duel Runner and Jack knocks him to the ground right as he finishes before taking off. While Trudge and Mina sort things out, Jack returns and takes the guy, revealed as Bruno, the one that they're supposed to take care of, with him.

Back in their makeshift home at Zora's place, Bruno insists he's added to Jack's Duel Runner and Jack does indicate that there's a faster recharging time but feels that Bruno sabotaged it. Bruno and Yusei take to the computer where things are explained but Jack and Crow cannot make sense of it. However, Bruno offers to do Crow's Duel Runner and Crow likes what the offer is. Jack still isn't convinced on trusting Bruno but walks away in frustration while the discussion continues. The next morning, Bruno feels he can finish what Yusei started and takes a cup of ramen from the pile and digs in. Later, while Yusei and Bruno continue chatting, Akiza, Luna and Leo arrive but get no response from either Bruno or Yusei.
As an instrumental version of the theme song plays, the duo work hard and when done, they decide to sleep for a while. However, an individual comes in and steals the engine program and the group discuss the matter in the morning. Bruno finds a Noodles to Go-Go wrapper in the trash with a fingerprint on and formulates that the thief had to take their gloves off to get it off while waiting for the data to download. Yusei and Bruno decide to hack into the Sector Security database to catch the thief and use multiple networks to buy them time from being caught. They get close until a duel screen appears. They have to solve the puzzle to get any further.

Crow takes the first attempt by activating Shooting Star Bow - Ceal and equipping to to Green Gadget, lowering their Tragoedia's ATK by 600 to 3000 and GG's ATK by 1000 to 400. His attack prompts the Duel Bot to activate Mirror Force and cause Crow to fail. In spite of Crow's failure, they now know that the Duel Bot has Mirror Force face down but Jack goes and uses Axe of Despair on Tragoedia to make its ATK 4000. However, he forgets the info they've just gained and attacks, falling victim to MF again. Bruno decides to take a shot and analyzes the situation.
Knowing the opponent has MF face down and a monster that can help prevent its activation, he uses Cost Down to discard 1 card and make the Allector, Sovereign of Birds Level 4 and making Tragoedia's ATK 2400. Next, he uses Tragoedia's effect to discard the now Level 4 Allector and gain control of Ancient Gear Soldier. Then he discards Shooting Star Bow - Ceal to use Tribute to the Doomed and destroy Green Gadget, leaving the opponent's Stronghold the Moving Fortress with 0 ATK by its effect. Finally, he equips AGS with AoD, raising its ATK by 1000 to 2300. Its attack destroys Stronghold to pass the test. The results come as a surprise as it's Lazar from the Public Security Bureau!
