YSDJ-EN040 Trap Card Magic Cylinder Normal Trap Negate the attack of 1 of your opponent's monsters and inflict damage to your opponent equal to that monster's ATK. (Common) Rating: 3 Negate an opponent's attack AND deal heavy damage to his or her's LPs! Like DS, it's useless when Jinzo or Royal Decree are out and active. |
YSDJ-EN039 Trap Card Negate Attack Counter Trap Activate only when an opponent's monster declares an attack. Negate the attack of that 1 monster and end the Battle Phase. (Common) Rating: 3 A lifesaver at most since it negates the attack from ALL monsters not just one! The fact is, it can't be activated if Jinzo or Royal decree is face up on the field. |
YSDJ-EN038 Trap Card Draining Shield Normal Trap Negate the attack of 1 of your opponent's monsters and gain Life Points equal to that monster's ATK. (Common) Rating: 3 Use it on a strong monster to get back major amounts of LPs! Since it only negates the attack of 1 monster, it's rating is 3/5. |
YSDJ-EN037 Trap Card Compulsory Evacuation Device Normal Trap Return 1 monster on the field to its owner's hand. (Common) Rating: 2 At most, this card is a nuisance for your opponent for summoning a monster only to have it be returned to his or her's hand. Even Sakuretsu Armor is better so use that instead. |
YSDJ-EN036 Trap Card Sakuretsu Armor Normal Trap Activate only when your opponent declares an attack. Destroy the attacking monster. (Common) Rating: 2 A nice little surprise for your opponent but Mirror Force is better so if you don't have that card or aren't using it, then run this card but otherwise, use Mirror Force instead. |
YSDJ-EN035 Trap Card Magic Jammer Counter Trap Discard 1 card. Negate the activation of a Spell Card and destroy it. (Common) Rating: 3 Negate the effect of any Spell Card by discarding a card! It's better than Magic Drain and is good Dark World support! |
YSDJ-EN034 Trap Card Trap Hole Normal Trap Activate only when your opponent Normal Summons or Flip Summons a monster with 1000 or more ATK. Destroy that monster. (Common) Rating: 2 If this card included Special Summon, it's rating would've been higher but since it doesn't, it's just an okay card to use. |
YSDJ-EN033 Trap Card Dust Tornado Normal Trap Destroy 1 Spell or Trap Card your opponent controls. You can then Set 1 Spell or Trap Card from your hand. (Common) Rating: 2 Useful in some situations but in most cases, MST is better so use that instead. |
YSDJ-EN032 Spell Card Lucky Iron Axe Equip Spell The equipped monster gains 500 ATK. When this face-up card is destroyed and sent to the Graveyard by a card effect that your opponent controls, draw 1 card. (Common) Rating: 2 This card isn't very lucky at all unless it gives your monster the 500 ATK bonus that it needed to take out a Blue-Eyes or Summoned Skull. |
YSDJ-EN031 Spell Card R - Righteous Justice Normal Spell Destroy Spell or Trap Cards equal to the number of face-up "Elemental Hero" cards you control. (Common) Rating: 2 It can pull of a Harpie's Feather Duster effect but that's only if you have 5 Elemental Hero monsters out. More than likely you'll only destroy one or two, making this card only useful in Jaden's deck. |
YSDJ-EN030 Spell Card Brain Control Normal Spell Pay 800 Life Points. Select 1 face-up monster your opponent controls. Take control of it until the End Phase. (Common) Rating: 3 Paying a mere 800 LPs can be next to nothing when compared to tributing your opponent's monster for a stronger one or attacking with it for major damage! |
YSDJ-EN029 Spell Card Lightning Vortex Normal Spell Discard 1 card. Destroy all face-up monsters your opponent controls. (Common) Rating: 3 I cannot give this card anything higher than a 3 simply because you must discard a card and you can only destroy face-up monsters. Good for Dark World though! |
YSDJ-EN028 Spell Card Monster Reincarnation Normal Spell Discard 1 card. Add 1 Monster Card from your Graveyard to your hand. (Common) Rating: 3 While you may have to discard a card to retrieve a monster from your Graveyard, discard a Dark World monster like Goldd and you'll get two monsters for the price of one! |
YSDJ-EN027 Spell Card Necklace of Command Equip Spell When a monster you control that's equipped with this card is destroyed by battle, and this card is sent to the Graveyard, you can either: ● Draw 1 card. OR ● Discard 1 random card from your opponent's hand. (Common) Rating: 2 Not the best card to use IMO, just considering that there are better cards out there. Overall, a pretty bad card but not he worst card in this deck. |
YSDJ-EN026 Spell Card Smashing Ground Normal Spell Destroy the 1 face-up monster your opponent controls that has the highest DEF. (If it's a tie, you get to choose.) (Common) Rating: 2 There is some use in this card like if your opponent only has 1 monster out or take out a high defensive monster but once Shield Crush becomes legal, there will be no reason to use this card. |
YSDJ-EN025 Spell Card Banner of Courage Continuous Spell During your Battle Phase, all monsters you control gain 200 ATK. (Common) Rating: 1 While 200 ATK can mean the difference between Cosmo Queen taking out Blue-Eyes, it's still hardly worth using this card, especially with Equip Spells that can give a much higher boost. |
YSDJ-EN024 Spell Card Heavy Storm Normal Spell Destroy all Spell and Trap Cards on the field. (Common) Rating: 3 One of the best S/T removers to this day! |
YSDJ-EN023 Spell Card Lightning Blade Equip Spell Equip only to a Warrior-Type monster. It gains 800 ATK and all WATER monsters lose 500 ATK. (Common) Rating: 3 Giving a Warrior-Type monster 800 ATK is quite decent, especially on a monster like Mataza the Zapper or Gearfried the Swordmaster! The fact that only Warrior-Type monsters can take it is why card's rating is 3/5. |
YSDJ-EN022 Spell Card Giant Trunade Normal Spell Return all Spell and Trap Cards on the field to their owners' hands. (Common) Rating: 2 While it does remove the fear of being Mirror Force'd or Magic Cylinder'd, it's only for one turn and Heavy Storm does the job better so use that instead. |
YSDJ-EN021 Spell Card Rush Recklessly Quick-Play Spell Target face-up monster gains 700 ATK until the end of this turn. (Common) Rating: 2 +700 isn't too bad to surprise your opponent with but let's face it, even Malevolent Nuzzler is better since the ATK boost lasts while it's equipped to the monster. |
YSDJ-EN020 Effect Monster Cybernetic Cyclopean EARTH | Beast-Warrior | Level 4 | ATK 1400 | DEF 200 While you have no cards in your hand, this card gains 1000 ATK. (Common) Rating: 1 The odds of him lasting on the field are the same as the odds of him using his effect: near ZERO. Don't use him. |
YSDJ-EN019 Effect Monster Elemental Hero Wildheart EARTH | Warrior | Level 4 | ATK 1500 | DEF 1600 This card is unaffected by the effects of Trap Cards. (Common) Rating: 2 He avoids cards such as Ring, Mirror Force and Torrential but still, even Maha Vailo at 1550 ATK can destroy him. |
YSDJ-EN018 Effect Monster Elemental Hero Bladedge EARTH | Warrior | Level 7 | ATK 2600 | DEF 1800 During battle between this attacking card and a Defense Position monster whose DEF is lower than the ATK of this card, inflict the difference as Battle Damage to your opponent. (Common) Rating: 3 2600 ATK rolls over SS, Jinzo and GAF! Plus when he knocks down a Defense Position monster with DEF under his ATK, the opponent takes damage equal to the difference! The two tributes hurts it though. |

When this card is Summoned, you can draw 2 cards if there are no other cards on your side of the field and in your hand. (Super Rare) Rating: 1 Keep him in Jaden decks only since his stats are low and his effect is horrible. |
YSDJ-EN016 Effect Monster Shadowslayer DARK | Fiend | Level 4 | ATK 1400 | DEF 200 If all monsters your opponent controls are in Defense Position, this card can attack your opponent directly. (Common) Rating: 1 While there are more situations where this card can attack your opponent directly than with Drillago, 1400 ATK won't last long and his DEF makes him easy pray for even Zone Eater at 250 ATK. |
YSDJ-EN015 Effect Monster Chiron the Mage EARTH | Beast-Warrior | Level 4 | ATK 1800 | DEF 1000 Once per turn, you can discard 1 Spell Card to destroy 1 Spell or Trap Card your opponent controls. (Common) Rating: 2 His effect is truly horrid. In fact, it's so bad that this guy gets 2/5 stars for such a bad effect. For beat down, you can run him but elsewhere, don't use him at all. |
YSDJ-EN014 Effect Monster Ninja Grandmaster Sasuke LIGHT | Warrior | Level 4 | ATK 1800 | DEF 1000 If this card attacks a face-up Defense Position monster, destroy the monster with this card's effect without applying damage calculation. (Common) Rating: 3 Take out Giant Soldier of Stone, Stone Statue of the Aztecs and even Labyrinth Wall without a problem if they're in Defense Position! |
YSDJ-EN013 Effect Monster Mataza the Zapper DARK | Warrior | Level 3 | ATK 1300 | DEF 800 This monster can attack twice during the same Battle Phase. Control of this card cannot switch. (Common) Rating: 3 Being able to avoid Snatch Steal, Brain Jacker or any other card that steals your monsters is quite decent! Plus, power him up with Equip Spells for even more damage! |
YSDJ-EN012 Effect Monster Little-Winguard WIND | Warrior | Level 4 | ATK 1400 | DEF 1800 You can change the battle position of this card once per turn, during your End Phase. (Common) Rating: 2 The odds of this guy actually surviving a battle with 1400 ATK are pretty slim especially since he has no way of protecting himself. Use him in Joey decks only. |
YSDJ-EN011 Effect Monster Exiled Force EARTH | Warrior | Level 4 | ATK 1000 | DEF 1000 You can Tribute this card to destroy 1 monster on the field. (Common) Rating: 2 Not the strongest of cards with stats of (1000/1000) but in the right situations it can be helpful but still, you waste your Normal Summon just to use his effect. |
YSDJ-EN010 Effect Monster Mask of Darkness DARK | Fiend | Level 2 | ATK 900 | DEF 400 FLIP: Select 1 Trap Card in your Graveyard. Add it to your hand. (Common) Rating: 2 While it allows you to bring back some of the game's best Trap Cards like Mirror Force and Magic Cylinder, it's prone to Monster Removal. |
YSDJ-EN009 Effect Monster Poison Mummy EARTH | Zombie | Level 4 | ATK 1000 | DEF 1800 FLIP: Inflict 500 damage to your opponent. (Common) Rating: 1 His stats are horrid and his effect is just bad. Don't run him as there are better cards that deal damage than this. |

His Shining Surge Flash cuts off the path of villainy. (Common) Rating: 1 Same as YSDJ-EN006's comments. |
YSDJ-EN007 Normal Monster Elemental Hero Clayman EARTH | Warrior | Level 4 | ATK 800 | DEF 2000 An Elemental Hero with a clay body built-to-last. He will preserve his Elemental Hero colleagues at any cost. (Common) Rating: 2 He has 2000 DEF but that's about it. Only use this for Jaden, Aster or Stall decks. |
YSDJ-EN006 Normal Monster Elemental Hero Burstinatrix (original artwork) FIRE | Warrior | Level 3 | ATK 1200 | DEF 800 A flame manipulator who is the only woman among the Elemental Heroes. Her Burstfire burns away villainy. (Common) Rating: 1 Same as YSDJ-EN005's comments. |
YSDJ-EN005 Normal Monster Elemental Hero Avian (original artwork) WIND | Warrior | Level 3 | ATK 1000 | DEF 1000 A winged Elemental Hero who wheels through the sky and manipulates the wind. His signature move, Featherbreak, gives villainy a blow from sky-high. (Common) Rating: 1 Unless this is for Jaden or Aster's deck, don't use this. |
YSDJ-EN004 Normal Monster Sonic Duck WIND | Winged Beast | Level 3 | ATK 1700 | DEF 700 A duck which can walk at a sonic speed. Sometimes, he cannot deal with his incredible pace and loses control. (Common) Rating: 1 Don't run this. |
YSDJ-EN003 Normal Monster Dark Blade DARK | Warrior | Level 4 | ATK 1800 | DEF 1500 They say he is a dragon manipulating warrior from the dark world. His attack is tremendous, using his great swords with vicious power. (Common) Rating: 3 1800 ATK knocks down Jerry Beans Man or many of the high attackers in Defense Position! |
YSDJ-EN002 Normal Monster Gemini Elf EARTH | Spellcaster | Level 4 | ATK 1900 | DEF 900 Elf twins that alternate their attacks. (Common) Rating: 4 One of the best 1900 attackers around! |
YSDJ-EN001 Normal Monster Cyber-Tech Alligator WIND | Machine | Level 5 | ATK 2500 | DEF 1600 Originally a pterodactyl, he was viciously attacked by a dragon. Using the newest technologies, his keeper saved him from near-fatal wounds and brought him back as a powerful Cyborg. (Common) Rating: 4 2500 ATK makes him great in just about any deck and being a Machine-Type, he's usable with Limiter Removal! Great card overall! |
YSDJ-EN000 Effect Monster Elemental Hero Necroshade DARK | Warrior | Level 5 | ATK 1600 | DEF 1800 While this card is in the Graveyard, one time only you can Normal Summon 1 "Elemental Hero" monster from your hand without Tributing any monsters. (Ultra Rare) Rating: 2 Not the greatest Elemental Hero in this deck but it can help if you have a high-level Elemental Hero in your hand and no monsters out but still just an okay card so keep him in Jaden's deck only. |
