Yu-Gi-Oh Championships and Champions

I could totally understand why a certain Duelist is respected and honored if they didn't achieve victory with a Deck copied from someone else. The least they could do is win with something not currently being used, and not something that was previously copied at tournaments. Winning with Exodia for example would be a nice change and prove you don't need to use current Decks to win. My main issues are:

Prizes
This should be the big incentive for going to the championships in the first place. Regular tournaments obviously aren't going to have the big prizes found at regionals, but they practically have the same value. Either you get the next Match Winner that can't be used or some lame vanilla monster akin to Dark Magician. What's the point in going then? You could get a vanilla monster like Neos (#1) without having to compete. s

Too fast
People seem to act like there's a loaded gun pointed to their head so they have to win in 30 seconds or die. What's the rush? You have like 40 minutes to play so why not stretch things out? You'll have less downtime afterwards, which means less waiting and you're not going to be stressed out so much. It was honestly much better 20 years ago when you didn't have to fear a short match because you barely had a turn.
