Tournament Pack 8

Necrolancer the Timelord
DARK / Spellcaster / Level 3 / ATK 800 / DEF 900
The one-eyed Necrolancer launches his onslaught from a dimensional ring that can appear out of thin air.
Rating: 1
Comments: Simply a worthless piece of cardboard.
Sectarian of Secrets
DARK / Spellcaster / Level 2 / ATK 700 / DEF 500
This wizard worships the darkness, and is served by a sinister hand that drags its enemies into oblivion.
Rating: 1
Comments: It's no secret that this is one of the worst cards ever created.
Wretched Ghost of the Attic
DARK / Fiend / Level 2 / ATK 550 / DEF 400
A harmless monster found lurking in just about any attic.
Rating: 1
Comments: He's better off staying in the attic because if he hits the field, he will go to the Graveyard as weak stats of (550/400) are no match for most monsters.
DARK / Machine / Level 4 / ATK 850 / DEF 1800
Constructed from several components, this monster can launch them in a pincer attack.
Rating: 1
Comments: With Giant Soldier of Stone, Mystical Elf and all of the beatstick Monsters around, there's just no use for this.
Temple of Skulls
DARK / Zombie / Level 4 / ATK 900 / DEF 1300
A mysterious temple of skulls and bones that pulls in unsuspecting enemies.
Rating: 1
Comments: 1300 DEF is only going to result in having this card destroyed so exchange this for a more decent card.
Violent Rain
WATER / Aqua / Level 4 / ATK 1550 / DEF 800
This monster can call forth sudden torrents of battering rain.
Rating: 1
Comments: This is definitely better than the last 2 cards but still has no reason to be played except for playing around.
WATER / Aqua / Level 4 / ATK 1350 / DEF 1000
With an enormous maw and massive teeth, this monstrosity is one dangerous and strange serpent from the deep.
Rating: 1
Comments: He's at least better than Gatekeeper being no tributes but still isn't playable so find a better card.
DARK / Machine / Level 5 / ATK 1500 / DEF 1800
An indestructible mechanoid created for the sole purpose of guarding the gateways.
Rating: 1
Comments: Monsters this bad only deserve to be ripped to shreds as their value is near nothing.
Ultimate Offering
Continuous Trap
By paying 500 Life Points, Normal Summon or Set 1 extra monster. You can only activate this effect during your Main Phase or your opponent's Battle Phase.
Rating: 3
Comments: This can be a lifesaver as you can use it's effect even when your opponent attacks! The thing is, if you have only 500 or less lifepoints and no Monsters out, this card's useless.
Berserk Gorilla
EARTH / Beast / Level 4 / ATK 2000 / DEF 1000
If this card is in face-up Defense Position on the field, destroy this card. The controller of this card must attack with this card if possible.
Rating: 1
Comments: 2000 ATK for 4 stars may seem pleasing to the eye at first glance but upon further inspection, the effect completely ruins this card's playability. Don't use this.
Garma Sword Oath
Ritual Spell
This card is used to Ritual Summon "Garma Sword". You must also Tribute monsters whose total Levels equal 7 or more from the field or your hand.
Rating: 1
Comments: A useless Ritual Spell to call out a useless Ritual Monster. Don't use this, even in Warrior decks.
Thestalos the Firestorm Monarch
FIRE / Pyro / Level 6 / ATK 2400 / DEF 1000
When this card is Tribute Summoned, discard 1 random card from your opponent's hand to the Graveyard. If the discarded card was a Monster Card, inflict damage to your opponent's Life Points equal to the Level of the monster x 100 points.
Rating: 4
Comments: Like I said with Mobius, this is great in basically any deck, especially FIRE or Pyro!
Mobius the Frost Monarch
WATER / Aqua / Level 6 / ATK 2400 / DEF 1000
When this card is Tribute Summoned, you can destroy up to 2 Spell or Trap Cards on the field.
Rating: 4
Comments: This guy is a must have for Aqua or WATER decks or pretty much any deck as 2400 ATK will serve you well!
Granmarg the Rock Monarch
EARTH / Rock / Level 6 / ATK 2400 / DEF 1000
When this card is Tribute Summoned, destroy 1 face-down card on the field.
Rating: 4
Comments: Ignoring his horrid effect, this guy still has 2400 ATK which is certainly playable in many decks!
Zaborg the Thunder Monarch
LIGHT / Thunder / Level 5 / ATK 2400 / DEF 1000
When this card is Tribute Summoned, destroy 1 monster on the field.
Rating: 4
Comments: Take out Cyber Jar, Man-Eater Bug, Nobleman-Eater Bug, or any other pesky Flip-Effect Monster your opponent has waiting for you!
Garma Sword
DARK / Warrior-Type Ritual / Level 7 / ATK 2550 / DEF 2150
This card can only be Ritual Summoned with the Ritual Spell Card, "Garma Sword Oath".
Rating: 1
Comments: Despite the fact that it has 200 more ATK than Fortress Whale, that doesn't say much except that it's still not playable. The Masked Beast however is playable.
Dunames Dark Witch
LIGHT / Fairy / Level 4 / ATK 1800 / DEF 1050
Even when all odds are against this brave fairy, she will press onwards in battle and never retreat.
Rating: 3
Comments: Ahh, Mai's starting card in her duel with Yami Marik. 1800 ATK for an effect less Monster isn't great but if used correctly she can be a powerhouse.
Slate Warrior
WIND / Fiend / Level 4 / ATK 1900 / DEF 400
FLIP: Increase the ATK and DEF of this card by 500 points. The ATK and DEF of a monster that destroys this card as a result of battle is decreased by 500 points.
Rating: 4
Comments: If you can flip summon him, he'll be a 2400 ATK level 4 Monster! Even attacking normally at 1900 is decent! This is sure to be a winner in your deck!

Harpie's Feather Duster (2nd artwork)
Normal Spell

Destroy all of your opponent's Spell and Trap Cards on the field.

Rating: 4
Comments: Get rid of that face down Negate Attack, Ring of Destruction or any other surprises your opponent might have!
Magical Arm Shield
Normal Trap
You can only activate this card when your opponent declares an attack while there is a monster on your side of the field. Take control of 1 of your opponent's face-up monster, except the attacking monster, and this monster is attacked instead. At the end of the Battle Phase, return control of this monster to your opponent.
Rating: 3
Comments: This is an interesting card! Take control of an opponent's Monster (not the one attacking) and use it to potentially destroy 1 of your opponent's Monsters! Not to shabby a card!
