Shadow Specters (Page 2)

SHSP-EN039
Genomix Fighter
WIND / Psychic-Type Tuner / Level 6 / ATK 2200 / DEF 1100
You can Normal Summon this card without Tributing, but its original ATK is halved and its Level becomes 3. Once per turn: You can declare 1 Monster Type; if this card is used as a Synchro Material Monster this turn, treat this card and the other Synchro Material Monsters as that Monster Type for that Synchro Summon. If you activate this effect, you cannot Normal or Special Summon monsters for the rest of this turn, except monsters with the declared Monster Type.
ULTRA RARE
Rating: 4
Comments: You don't get more versatile than this! He may be a high-level tuner but his effects will make him Level 3 and make him usable with any deck, including non-themed ones!
SHSP-EN038
Knight Day Grepher
LIGHT / Warrior-Type Gemini / Level 4 / ATK 1700 / DEF 1600
This card is treated as a Normal Monster while face-up on the field or in the Graveyard. While this card is face-up on the field, you can Normal Summon it to have it become an Effect Monster with this effect.
● During your End Phase: You can target 1 Equip Spell Card in your Graveyard; add that target to your hand. You can only use this effect of "Knight Day Grepher" once per turn.
COMMON
Rating: 2
Comments: There are some decent targets for him to pick up but he also has to wait before his powers can be unleashed and isn't very strong.
SHSP-EN037
Skelesaurus
DARK / Zombie-Type Gemini / Level 4 / ATK 1700 / DEF 1400
This card is treated as a Normal Monster while face-up on the field or in the Graveyard. While this card is face-up on the field, you can Normal Summon it to have it become an Effect Monster with these effects.
● This card becomes EARTH Dinosaur-Type. When this card destroys an opponent's monster by battle and sends it to the Graveyard: You can Special Summon that monster to your side of the field in face-up Defense Position, and if you do, it becomes Zombie-Type.
COMMON
Rating: 2
Comments: It's a Gemini monster so it has the support Normal Monsters have and is somewhat better than Paladin of the Cursed Dragon but won't get its powers right away.
SHSP-EN036
Rasetsu
FIRE / Fairy-Type Spirit / Level 4 / ATK 1500 / DEF 1900
Cannot be Special Summoned. During the End Phase of the turn this card is Normal Summoned or flipped face-up: Return it to the hand. When this card is Normal Summoned or flipped face-up: You can reveal 1 Spirit monster from your hand, except "Rasetsu", then target 1 face-up Attack Position monster your opponent controls; return that target to the hand. You cannot Special Summon during the turn you activate this effect.
COMMON
Rating: 1
Comments: Who cares if they don't Special Summon? This guy just makes an opponent's monster in Attack Mode act as one of them when there are better alternatives.
SHSP-EN035
Aratama
DARK / Fiend-Type Spirit / Level 4 / ATK 800 / DEF 1800
Cannot be Special Summoned. During the End Phase of the turn this card is Normal Summoned or flipped face-up: Return it to the hand. When this card is Normal Summoned or flipped face-up: You can add 1 Spirit monster from your Deck to your hand, except “Aratama”.
RARE
Rating: 1
Comments: None of the current Spirit monsters are worth making your hand worse and it doesn't have the stats to back it up either.
SHSP-EN034
Vampire Hunter
DARK / Warrior / Level 4 / ATK 1600 / DEF 1600
At the start of the Damage Step, if this card battles a DARK monster: Destroy that monster.
SUPER RARE
Rating: 1
Comments: A 1 in 6 chance of battling a DARK monster and having those bad stats for a Level 4 monster leave this hunter to become hunted.
SHSP-EN033
Yellow-Bellied Oni
DARK / Zombie / Level 4 / ATK 1000 / DEF 1000
When you Xyz Summon a monster: You can Special Summon this card from your hand. Once per turn: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from a monster you control, then target 1 face-up Xyz Monster on the field; reduce its Rank by 1, and if you do, it loses 300 ATK.
COMMON
Rating: 1
Comments: A mere 1000 ATK and DEF is not worth Special Summoning when you Xyz Summon, especially since you won't likely have another monster to use with it and its other effect is horrible.
SHSP-EN032
Pumprincess the Princess of Ghosts
DARK / Zombie / Level 3 / ATK 900 / DEF 1000
If this face-up card is destroyed while in a Monster Card Zone, you can place it face-up in your Spell & Trap Card Zone as a Continuous Spell Card, instead of sending it to the Graveyard. While this card is treated as a Continuous Spell Card by this effect, during each player's Standby Phase: Place 1 Pumpkin Counter on this card. All monsters your opponent controls lose 100 ATK and DEF for each Pumpkin Counter on this card.
COMMON
Rating: 1
Comments: It clogs up one of your Spell and Trap Card Zones and weakens your opponent's monsters by a measly 100 ATK each turn, which is hardly worth keeping her on your field.
SHSP-EN031
Vampire Grace
DARK / Zombie / Level 6 / ATK 2000 / DEF 1200
When a Level 5 or higher Zombie-Type monster(s) is Special Summoned to your side of the field by the effect of a Zombie-Type monster while this card is in your Graveyard: You can pay 2000 Life Points; Special Summon this card from your Graveyard. You can only use this effect of "Vampire Grace" once per turn. Once per turn: You can declare 1 card type (Monster, Spell, or Trap); your opponent sends 1 card of that type from their Deck to the Graveyard.
COMMON
Rating: 2
Comments: Unlike Vampire Lord, which has to deal Battle Damage to activate the same effect, this vampire can just do it effortlessly but her other effect isn't all that great.
SHSP-EN030
Shadow Vampire
DARK / Zombie / Level 5 / ATK 2000 / DEF 0
When this card is Normal Summoned: You can Special Summon 1 DARK "Vampire" monster from your hand or Deck, except "Shadow Vampire", but if you do, only that monster can attack for the rest of this turn. This card cannot be used as an Xyz Material for an Xyz Summon, except for the Xyz Summon of a DARK monster.
SECRET RARE
Rating: 3
Comments: Normal Summoning him is easy, especially with the previous card's help and while he's limited to DARK Xyz Monsters, he's virtually not limited on which of his friends he brings out!
SHSP-EN029
Vampire Sorcerer
DARK / Zombie / Level 4 / ATK 1500 / DEF 1500
If this card in your possession is sent to your Graveyard by your opponent's card (either by battle or by card effect): You can add 1 DARK "Vampire" monster or 1 "Vampire" Spell/Trap Card from your Deck to your hand. You can banish this card from your Graveyard; 1 DARK "Vampire" monster you Normal Summon this turn can be Summoned without Tributing.
ULTRA RARE
Rating: 3
Comments: Sangan's zombified cousin picks up any DARK Vampire monster, including itself or past Vampire monsters, doesn't care how it gets destroyed and sent to the Grave and makes summoning them easier!
SHSP-EN028
Mecha Phantom Beast Kalgriffin
WIND / Machine / Level 8 / ATK 1000 / DEF 2500
You can Tribute 2 "Mecha Phantom Beast" monsters; Special Summon this card from your hand. You can only use this effect of "Mecha Phantom Beast Kalgriffin" once per turn. While you control a Token, this card cannot be destroyed by battle or card effects. Once per turn: You can discard 1 "Mecha Phantom Beast" monster; Special Summon 1 "Mecha Phantom Beast Token" (Machine-Type/
WIND/Level 3/ATK 0/DEF 0).
RARE
Rating: 2
Comments: It can easily be protected by disposing one of its friends in your hand and has somewhat decent DEF for its Level but its ATK is pretty weak and Special Summoning it its way is virtually pointless.
SHSP-EN027
Mecha Phantom Beast Sabre Hawk
WIND / Machine / Level 4 / ATK 2100 / DEF 100
This card cannot attack your opponent directly. If you have a monster in your Graveyard that is not a "Mecha Phantom Beast" monster, this card cannot attack. This card's Level is increased by the total Levels of all "Mecha Phantom Beast Tokens" you control. While you control a Token, this card cannot be destroyed by battle or card effects. Once per turn: You can Tribute 1 Token, then target 1 card in either player's Graveyard; banish that target.
COMMON
Rating: 1
Comments: It may be just stronger than either Alexandrite Dragon or Gene-Warped Warwolf but neither of those have the side-effects this guy has.
SHSP-EN026
Bujingi Centipede
LIGHT / Beast / Level 4 / ATK 1700 / DEF 500
If you control a Beast-Warrior-Type "Bujin" monster: You can banish this card from your Graveyard, then target 1 Spell/Trap Card your opponent controls; destroy that target. You can only use the effect of "Bujingi Centipede" once per turn.
COMMON
Rating: 1
Comments: You'd be better off using Worm Apocalypse than this as that card's effect is reusable and easier to activate.
SHSP-EN025
Bujingi Boar
LIGHT / Beast / Level 4 / ATK 1100 / DEF 1900
If you control a "Bujin" monster: You can banish this card from your Graveyard, then target 1 face-up Attack Position monster your opponent controls; change it to face-up Defense Position, and if you do, its DEF becomes 0 until the End Phase.
COMMON
Rating: 2
Comments: Has enough DEF to survive against most Level 4 or lower monsters and can make an opponent's monster weak enough to be destroyed but is overall not great.
SHSP-EN024
Bujingi Ibis
LIGHT / Winged Beast / Level 4 / ATK 1600 / DEF 300
During your Main Phase 1: You can send this card from your hand to the Graveyard, then target 1 "Bujin" monster you control; this turn, if it attacks a Defense Position monster, inflict piercing battle damage to your opponent.
COMMON
Rating: 2
Comments: Works on any Bujin monster but only one Bujin monster gets to inflict piercing Battle Damage.
SHSP-EN023
Bujingi Crow
LIGHT / Winged Beast / Level 4 / ATK 1700 / DEF 800
When a Beast-Warrior-Type "Bujin" monster you control is targeted for an attack by an opponent's monster: You can send this card from your hand to the Graveyard; negate the attack, and if you do, inflict damage to your opponent equal to half the attacker's ATK. You can only use the effect of "Bujingi Crow" once per turn.
RARE
Rating: 2
Comments: It can save your monster and make your opponent take some damage but it only works when your monster is attacked and unless you have another one of these, your monster won't likely survive.
SHSP-EN022
Bujin Mikazuchi
LIGHT / Beast-Warrior / Level 4 / ATK 1900 / DEF 1500
When a Beast-Warrior-Type "Bujin" monster you control is destroyed by battle or by card effect and sent to the Graveyard: You can Special Summon this card from your hand. Once per turn, during the End Phase, if a "Bujin" monster(s) was sent from your hand to your Graveyard this turn while you controlled this face-up card: You can add 1 "Bujin" Spell/Trap Card from your Deck to your hand. You can only control 1 "Bujin Mikazuchi".
ULTRA RARE
Rating: 3
Comments: He falls a bit short of the typical rating for monsters like him as you can't have more than one on your field at a time but his effect does include himself.
SHSP-EN021
Ghostrick Stein
DARK / Zombie / Level 3 / ATK 1600 / DEF 0
Cannot be Normal Summoned, unless you control a "Ghostrick" monster. Once per turn: You can change this card to face-down Defense Position. When this card inflicts battle damage to your opponent: You can add 1 "Ghostrick" Spell/Trap Card from your Deck to your hand. You can only use this effect of "Ghostrick Stein" once per turn.
COMMON
Rating: 2
Comments: Get the ever-necessary Field Spell or another Spell or Trap you need to help your Ghostricks but cannot save himself from battle.
SHSP-EN020
Ghostrick Jiangshi
DARK / Zombie / Level 3 / ATK 400 / DEF 1800
Cannot be Normal Summoned, unless you control a "Ghostrick" monster. Once per turn: You can change this card to face-down Defense Position. When this card is flipped face-up: You can add from your Deck to your hand, 1 "Ghostrick" monster whose Level is less than or equal to the number of "Ghostrick" monsters you control. You can only use this effect of "Ghostrick Jiangshi" once per turn.
COMMON
Rating: 2
Comments: A sort-of Reinforcement of the Army for Ghostricks but it's restricted to the Level being no more than your Ghostricks in play.
