Lord of the Tachyon Galaxy (Page 4)

*Also available as an Ultimate Rare card
LTGY-EN079
Mind Drain
Continuous Trap
Activate this card by paying 1000 Life Points. Effects of monsters in the hand cannot be activated.
COMMON
Rating: 2
Comments: It makes your direct attacks less likely to be intercepted but the Life Point cost really isn't worth it when so few monsters are affected by its effect and yours are included.
LTGY-EN078
High Tide on Fire Island
Normal Trap
If you control a Level 7 or higher WATER or FIRE monster: Apply the appropriate effects, in sequence, depending on the Attributes of monsters you control at that time.
● WATER: Special Summon as many WATER monsters as possible that were sent to your Graveyard to activate monster effects this turn, then destroy 1 monster you control.
● FIRE: Destroy 1 monster on the field, then if you have any cards in your hand, discard 1 card to the Graveyard.
COMMON
Rating: 1
Comments: It asks for you to control a Level 7 FIRE or WATER monster, then gives you one of two options, both of which can hurt you back. Not a good proposition.
LTGY-EN077
Geargiagear
Normal Trap
Special Summon 2 "Geargiano" monsters from your Deck and increase their Levels by 1. You can only activate 1 "Geargiagear" per turn.
SUPER RARE
Rating: 2
Comments: Bring out any 2 you want for an easy Xyz Summon, especially given that they're each 1 level more than normal but it's limited to the archtype.
LTGY-EN076
Madolche Nights
Counter Trap
When a monster effect is activated, if you have no monsters in your Graveyard: Negate the activation, then if you control "Madolche Puddingcess", shuffle 1 random card from your opponent's hand into the Deck.
SUPER RARE
Rating: 2
Comments: The card doesn't have to be run in Madolches but even in their deck, it doesn't do anything majorly useful.
LTGY-EN075
Fire Formation - Kaiyo
Continuous Trap
During the turn this card is activated, if a Beast-Warrior-Type monster you control attacks a Defense Position monster, inflict piercing battle damage to your opponent. (This applies even if this card leaves the field.) All Beast-Warrior-Type monsters you control gain 300 ATK.
COMMON
Rating: 2
Comments: It's not restricted to the Fire Fist archtype and the temporary effect even works if the card isn't on the field but the boost is pretty poor and the temporary effect really hinders this card's  usefulness.
LTGY-EN074
Do a Barrel Roll
Counter Trap
When a Spell Card, Trap Card, or monster effect is activated: Tribute all "Mecha Phantom Beast Tokens" you control; negate the activation, and if you do, destroy it.
RARE
Rating: 2
Comments: You may just have one token or several but it might be worth it to give them up before they're destroyed by other means yet there are better ways to stop effects.
LTGY-EN073
Aerial Recharge
Continuous Trap
Once per turn: You can Special Summon 1 "Mecha Phantom Beast Token" (Machine-Type/WIND/Level 3/ATK 0/DEF 0). During each player's End Phase, Tribute 1 Token or "Mecha Phantom Beast" monster, or send this card to the Graveyard.
COMMON
Rating: 2
Comments: A bit pricy since you get a free Mecha Phantom Beast Token but either you lose the token or this card itself pretty quickly.
LTGY-EN072
Xyz Block
Counter Trap
When your opponent activates a monster effect: Detach 1 Xyz Material from a monster you control; negate the activation, and if you do, destroy that monster.
COMMON
Rating: 2
Comments: If your Xyz Monster is like Gem-Knight Pearl and has no effect, then detaching the Xyz Material from it isn't too bad but there are better ways to stop Effect Monster effects.
LTGY-EN071
Torrential Reborn
Normal Trap
When a face-up WATER monster you control is destroyed by battle or by a card effect and sent to the Graveyard: Special Summon the monsters destroyed and sent from the field to your Graveyard at that time, then inflict 500 damage to your opponent for each of those Special Summoned monsters. You can only activate 1 "Torrential Reborn" per turn.
SECRET RARE
Rating: 3
Comments: Of course it can only bring back WATER monsters but if that's what your deck is all about, then you'll get back what you lost and then some!
LTGY-EN070
Memory Loss
Normal Trap
When a face-up Attack Position monster your opponent controls just activated an effect: Negate that effect, and if you do, change that monster to face-up Defense Position.
COMMON
Rating: 2
Comments: It can certainly be helpful against monsters like Stardust Dragon or Number 32: Shark Drake but the monster is still on the field.
LTGY-EN069
Pinpoint Guard
Normal Trap
When an opponent's monster declares an attack: Target 1 Level 4 or lower monster in your Graveyard; Special Summon it in face-up Defense Position. It cannot be destroyed by battle or by card effects this turn.
SECRET RARE
Rating: 3
Comments:  It pretty well guarantees you will survive the turn you play this and being in Defense Mode, you're much less likely to take damage!
LTGY-EN068
Summon Breaker
Field Spell
During Main Phase 1, if the turn player successfully conducts their third Summon of a monster(s) this turn: It becomes the End Phase.
COMMON
Rating: 2
Comments: It can prevent an OTK but doesn't stop monsters on the field, Setting monsters or Summoning monsters during Main Phase 2.
LTGY-EN067
Jewels of the Valiant
Continuous Spell
If exactly 1 monster is banished from your Graveyard (and no other cards are banished at the same time), except during the Damage Step: You can send, from your Deck to the Graveyard, 1 monster that has a different Attribute from that banished monster. You can only use the effect of "Jewels of the Valiant" once per turn.
COMMON
Rating: 2
Comments: Should you lose your monster due to Bottomless Trap Hole or because of the previous card's effect, this card puts a new one in your Graveyard but both players have access to that new monster.
LTGY-EN066
Sacred Sword of Seven Stars
Normal Spell
Banish 1 Level 7 monster from your hand or face-up from your side of the field; draw 2 cards. You can only activate 1 "Sacred Sword of Seven Stars" per turn.
SUPER RARE
Rating: 2
Comments: If you can't Summon the Level 7 monster, you get to get rid of it to draw 2 cards, which isn't all that bad since it can be from your hand or field but your odds are slim that you'll meet its requirements.
LTGY-EN065
Hysteric Sign
Continuous Spell
When this card is activated: Add 1 "Elegant Egotist" from your Deck or Graveyard to your hand. During the End Phase of the turn this card was sent from the field or hand to the Graveyard: Add up to 3 "Harpie" cards with different names from your Deck to your hand. You can only activate 1 "Hysteric Sign" effect per turn, and only once that turn.
SUPER RARE
Rating: 2
Comments: Elegant Egotist is pretty well useless since only Cyber Harpie Lady is playable and since almost all Harpie Lady monsters are treated as Harpie Lady, there's little to pick from in its effect.
LTGY-EN064
Abyss-scale of the Mizuchi
Equip Spell
Equip only to a "Mermail" monster. It gains 800 ATK. When a Spell effect that was activated on your opponent's side of the field resolves, negate that effect, then send this card to the Graveyard.
COMMON
Rating: 1
Comments: It powers up the designated Mermail monster by 800 but then has to sacrifice itself to save that monster from 1 Spell Card's effect, which leaves the Mermail monster open to everything else.
LTGY-EN063
Spellbook of Judgment
Quick-Play Spell
During the End Phase of the turn this card was activated, add "Spellbook" Spell Cards from your Deck to your hand, except "Spellbook of Judgment", up to the number of Spell Cards activated after this card's resolution, then, you can Special Summon from your Deck 1 Spellcaster-Type monster whose Level is less than or equal to the number of cards added to your hand by this effect. You can only activate 1 "Spellbook of Judgment" per turn.
SECRET RARE
Rating: 2
Comments: This card is one everyone seems to want but to me, it's only useful in one deck and overpowered as it may be, that's not enough to give it a high rating.
LTGY-EN062
Fire Formation - Gyokkou
Continuous Spell
Activate this card by targeting 1 Set Spell/Trap Card your opponent controls. Your opponent cannot activate the targeted card in response to this card's activation. While this card is face-up on the field, that Set card cannot be activated. All Beast-Warrior-Type monsters you control gain 100 ATK.
SUPER RARE
Rating: 1
Comments: We all remember Xing Zhen Hu and that remains an awful card. This card does half that and throws in a poor ATK boost.
LTGY-EN061*
Scramble!! Scramble!!
Quick-Play Spell
If your opponent's monsters on the field outnumber your non-Token monsters on the field: Tribute any number of "Mecha Phantom Beast Tokens"; Special Summon an equal number of "Mecha Phantom Beast" monsters from your Deck. Shuffle them into the Deck during the End Phase. You can only activate 1 "Scramble!! Scramble!!" per turn.
ULTRA RARE
Rating: 2
Comments: You're planning a risky move as you need less non-Tokens than your opponent has monsters and if this gets stopped, then your monsters and your LPs will likely take the plunge.
LTGY-EN060
Rank-Up-Magic Barian's Force
Normal Spell
Target 1 face-up Xyz Monster you control; Special Summon from your Extra Deck, 1 "Number C" or "CXyz" monster with the same Type as that monster you control but 1 Rank higher, by using it as the Xyz Material. (This Special Summon is treated as an Xyz Summon. Xyz Materials attached to that target also become Xyz Materials on the Summoned monster.) Then, if possible, detach 1 Xyz Material from a monster your opponent controls and attach it to the Summoned monster as an Xyz Material.
ULTRA RARE
Rating: 2
Comments: This card makes Xyz Summoning much better and steals an opponent's Xyz Material from their Xyz Monster but as of yet, none of the Xyz Monsters it brings out have impressed me.
