CIBR-EN039
Elemental Grace Doriado
LIGHT / Spellcaster / Level 9 / ATK 0 / DEF 0
Cannot be Normal Summoned/Set. Must be Special Summoned (from your hand) by having 6 or more monsters with different Attributes in the GYs. Gains ATK/DEF equal to the number of different Attributes in the GYs x 500. When your opponent would Special Summon a monster(s) (Quick Effect): You can banish 3 monsters from your GY; negate the Summon, and if you do, destroy that monster(s).
RARE
Rating: 1
Comments: Since there's only 7 Attributes available at the moment, it can only have 3500 ATK and DEF, which while respectible, you'll be losing 1500 ATK if you decide to negate a Summon with its effect. Plus, starts off with 0 ATK and DEF, which makes it just as vulnerable as The Accumulator.
CIBR-EN038
Destrudo the Lost Dragon's Frisson
DARK / Dragon-Type Tuner / Level 7 / ATK 1000 / DEF 3000
If this card is in your hand or GY: You can pay half your LP, then target 1 Level 6 or lower monster you control; Special Summon this card, and if you do, this card's Level is reduced by the Level of the targeted monster, also place this card on the bottom of the Deck if it leaves the field. You can only use this effect of "Destrudo the Lost Dragon's Frisson" once per turn.
RARE
Rating: 2
Comments: You don't have to use the effect (and I HIGHLY don't recommend it) and since it's also a searchable Tuner monster with relatively high DEF for its Level, it's marginally useful.
CIBR-EN037
Fantastic Striborg
WIND / Machine / Level 5 / ATK 2200 / DEF 2200
Monsters Tributed for the face-up Tribute Summon of this card are returned to the hand instead of going to the GY. Once per turn: You can discard 1 card; return all cards your opponent controls in this card's column to the hand.
RARE
Rating: 2
Comments: You'll get back the monster you Tributed for this card's Tribute Summon but neither that, nor the other effect aren't all that great.
CIBR-EN036
Amano-Iwato
EARTH / Rock-Type Spirit / Level 4 / ATK 1900 / DEF 1200
Cannot be Special Summoned. Monsters cannot activate their effects, except Spirit monsters. Once per turn, during the End Phase, if this card was Normal Summoned or flipped face-up this turn: Return this card to the hand.
COMMON
Rating: 1
Comments: It's totally pointless. It only affects 1/3 of the card types out there and only for a single turn. Being a beatstick means nothing in this case since there are monsters with at least 1900 ATK that don't have such horrible effects.
CIBR-EN035
Self-Destruct Ant
EARTH / Insect-Type Flip / Level 3 / ATK 1500 / DEF 1000
FLIP: Each player takes 1000 damage.
If this card is destroyed by battle or card effect and sent to the GY: Inflict 1000 damage to your opponent. You can only use each effect of "Self-Destruct Ant" once per turn.
COMMON
Rating: 1
Comments: Here's a better way to deal 1000 damage: Meteor of Destruction, which is also easier to use.
CIBR-EN034
Leng Ling
DARK / Dragon-Type Union / Level 3 / ATK 1500 / DEF 0
Once per turn, you can either: Target 1 face-up monster you control; equip this card to that target, OR: Unequip this card and Special Summon it. The original ATK of a monster equipped with this card becomes 1000, it can make a second attack during each Battle Phase, also if the equipped monster would be destroyed by battle or card effect, destroy this card instead.
COMMON
Rating: 2
Comments: This could be useful with monsters that attack directly like Raging Flame Sprite, allowing them to rack up more damage more quickly but not much else is that useful with this.
CIBR-EN033
Duck Dummy
WATER / Winged Beast-Type Gemini / Level 1 / ATK 0 / DEF 0
This card is treated as a Normal Monster while face-up on the field or in the GY. While this card is a Normal Monster on the field, you can Normal Summon it to have it become an Effect Monster with these effects.
● Cannot be destroyed by card effects. Neither player can target this card with card effects.
● The attacks from your opponent's monsters become direct attacks.
COMMON
Rating: 1
Comments: While Behemoth the King of All Animals is scared out of its wits from a cardboard cut-out of Rescue Rabbit, it's not going to fool me. Its stats are as low as they can get and making it an effect monster just to obtain what other monsters already have or when we have other ways to get that benefit is a pretty poor decision. Plus it has no effect to prevent destruction in battle, not that your opponent will want to take it out.
CIBR-EN032
Soldier Dragons
EARTH / Dragon / Level 2 / ATK 700 / DEF 800
Once per turn, when your opponent activates a card or effect (Quick Effect): You can Special Summon 1 Level 2 or lower Dragon monster from your Deck.
COMMON
Rating: 2
Comments: Its properties indicate a connection to Troop Dragon and this guy can bring out that monster but both monsters are rather weak as a whole.
CIBR-EN031
The Accumulator
LIGHT / Thunder / Level 1 / ATK 0 / DEF 0
Gains ATK equal to the combined Link Ratings of all Link Monsters on the field x 300.
COMMON
Rating: 2
Comments: With the new rules in place, this guy will be pretty limited with how strong it can get unless you can Link Summon at least once. Even then, the higher the Link Rating, the more effort it takes to bring out and even Link Ratings of 5 (of which only exists as a Match Winner at the moment) only gives it 1500 ATK. Plus with 0 ATK and DEF to start, if it loses the effect, it's effectively crippled and your LP become vulnerable.
CIBR-EN030
Mecha Phantom Beast Raiten
WIND / Machine / Level 4 / ATK 1500 / DEF 1500
You can discard 1 card; Special Summon 1 "Mecha Phantom Beast Token" (Machine/WIND/Level 3/ATK 0/DEF 0), also you can only use "Mecha Phantom Beast" monsters as Fusion, Synchro, Xyz, or Link Material for a Summon, for the rest of this turn. This card's Level is increased by the total Levels of all "Mecha Phantom Beast Tokens" you control. While you control a Token, this card cannot be destroyed by battle or card effects.
COMMON
Rating: 2
Comments: It's searchable and brings out a Token for a small price. Plus if you have more than one, you can easily Xyz, Synchro or Link Summon with it. Unfortunately, that's what you're limited to doing if you use the effect and intend to use it for any kind of Summon.
CIBR-EN029
Fire King Avatar Arvata
FIRE / Beast-Warrior / Level 4 / ATK 1800 / DEF 200
When a monster effect is activated while this monster is on the field (Quick Effect): You can negate the activation, and if you do, destroy 1 other FIRE monster in your hand or field. If this card is destroyed and sent to the GY: You can target 1 FIRE Beast, Beast-Warrior, or Winged Beast monster in your GY, except "Fire King Avatar Arvata"; Special Summon it, but it has its effects negated, also it is destroyed during the End Phase. You can only use each effect of "Fire King Avatar Arvata" once per turn.
RARE
Rating: 3
Comments: Fire Kings also have gotten a new recruit and this one is at least an acceptable member with good ATK and low Level. Plus, the effects aren't so bad that they take away the perks.
CIBR-EN028
Mermail Abyssnerei
WATER / Aqua / Level 3 / ATK 1200 / DEF 2000
(Quick Effect): You can discard this card, then target 1 WATER monster you control; destroy 1 other WATER monster in your hand or field, and if you do, the targeted monster gains ATK/DEF equal to the destroyed monster's original ATK/
DEF, until the end of this turn. If this card is sent from the field to the GY: You can draw 1 card, then discard 1 card. You can only use each effect of "Mermail Abyssnerei" once per turn.
COMMON
Rating: 2
Comments: Despite Mermails basically vanishing off the face of the Earth, they're getting new support here but I think it's too little too late as this latest recruit probably won't do much for them, or for herself.
CIBR-EN027
Metaphys Executor
LIGHT / Wyrm / Level 10 / ATK 3000 / DEF 2500
Cannot be Normal Summoned/Set. Must be Special Summoned (from your hand) by banishing 5 "Metaphys" cards with different names from your GY and/or face-up from your field. Cannot be destroyed, or banished, by card effects. Once per turn, if your opponent controls more cards than you do: You can target 1 of your banished "Metaphys" monsters; Special Summon it, but banish it during the End Phase of the next turn.
SUPER RARE
Rating: 2
Comments: It's pretty powerful and somewhat easy to Summon but there aren't as many cards used these days that destroy so even age-old cards like Compulsory Evacuation Device can get rid of it and undo your hard work as can destroying it in battle.
CIBR-EN026
Metaphys Tyrant Dragon
LIGHT / Wyrm / Level 8 / ATK 2900 / DEF 2500
If this card was Special Summoned by the effect of a "Metaphys" monster, it is unaffected by Trap effects, also if it attacks a monster, it can make a second attack in a row. If this card is banished, during the Standby Phase of the next turn: You can shuffle this banished card into the Deck; Special Summon 1 "Metaphys" monster from your hand, but banish it during the End Phase of the next turn.
RARE
Rating: 2
Comments: Not much better over the orginal Tyrant Dragon other than you don't have to Tribute a monster when you revive it.
CIBR-EN025
Metaphys Nephthys
LIGHT / Wyrm / Level 8 / ATK 2400 / DEF 1600
If this card is Special Summoned by the effect of a "Metaphys" monster: You can banish all Set Spells and Traps on the field. If this card is banished, during the Standby Phase of the next turn: You can shuffle this banished card into the Deck; add 1 "Metaphys" card from your Deck to your hand, except "Metaphys Nephthys".
SUPER RARE
Rating: 2
Comments: Arguably the original Sacred Phoenix is the better version given its ability to revive itself and clear away threats but this isn't too bad for what it has to offer.
CIBR-EN024
Metaphys Daedalus
LIGHT / Wyrm / Level 7 / ATK 2600 / DEF 1500
If this card is Special Summoned by the effect of a "Metaphys" monster: You can banish all other face-up Special Summoned monsters on the field. If this card is banished, during the Standby Phase of the next turn: You can shuffle this banished card into the Deck; banish 1 "Metaphys" card from your Deck, except "Metaphys Daedalus".
COMMON
Rating: 2
Comments: It's a lot like Gladiator Beasts where they rely on their friends bringing them out to get anything out of it but at least the effects kinda make up for it.
CIBR-EN023
Metaphys Ragnarok
LIGHT / Wyrm-Type Tuner / Level 4 / ATK 1500 / DEF 1000
If this card is Normal or Special Summoned: You can banish the top 3 cards of your Deck, and if you do, this card gains 300 ATK for each "Metaphys" card banished by this effect. When this card inflicts battle damage to your opponent: You can Special Summon 1 Level 5 or higher "Metaphys" monster from your Deck, but banish it during the End Phase of the next turn. You can only use each effect of "Metaphys Ragnarok" once per turn.
SUPER RARE
Rating: 2
Comments: A Level 4 Tuner monster to add to the collection and a searachable one too, not to mention an Honest target. However, both effects are pretty bad.
CIBR-EN022
World Legacy - "World Armor"
DARK / Machine / Level 7 / ATK 2500 / DEF 2500
When a monster is Flip Summoned: You can Special Summon this card from your hand. If this card is Normal or Special Summoned: You can add 1 "World Legacy" card from your Deck to your hand. If this Normal Summoned/Set card is on the field (Quick Effect): You can target 1 face-up opponent's monster that was Special Summoned from the Extra Deck; return both that monster and this card to the hand. You can only use each effect of "World Legacy - "World Armor"" once per turn.
RARE
Rating: 2
Comments: From the artwork, Girag could have uses for it as it's mostly literally a hand coming out of the ground. However, its effects and stats are rather mediocre.
CIBR-EN021
Krawler Dendrite
EARTH / Insect-Type Flip / Level 2 / ATK 1300 / DEF 600
FLIP: You can send 1 monster from your Deck to the GY.
If this face-up card in its owner's control leaves the field because of an opponent's card effect: You can Special Summon 2 "Krawler" monsters with different names from your Deck in face-down Defense Position, except "Krawler Dendrite". You can only use each effect of "Krawler Dendrite" once per turn.
COMMON
Rating: 2
Comments: A reusable Foolish Burial isn't too bad, though like Ranvier, it isn't going to likely survive on the field long enough to get the other effect.
CIBR-EN020
Krawler Ranvier
EARTH / Insect-Type Flip / Level 2 / ATK 1100 / DEF 900
FLIP: You can target up to 2 "Krawler" monsters in your GY; add them to your hand.
If this face-up card in its owner's control leaves the field because of an opponent's card effect: You can Special Summon 2 "Krawler" monsters with different names from your Deck in face-down Defense Position, except "Krawler Ranvier". You can only use each effect of "Krawler Ranvier" once per turn.
COMMON
Rating: 2
Comments: Seems like one of the better ones, though with out higher DEF than ATK, it's bound to be taken out in battle.
