Article #133 Valentine's Day Met with Mishaps
Despite their training, Love Wishes and Valentine Sweet had trouble with deliveries. "We ended up literally running into each other and had letters meant for the other carrier. Unfortunately, it didn't dawn on either of us until ponies came out and said it wasn't their mail. Of course, that meant backtracking to where it all started and we did get it fixed eventually," commented Love Wishes. Valentine Sweet said they both used the same color envelopes, adding to the confusion.
Article #132 Minty Admits to Secret Santa
The mystery letters were revealed to be Minty herself, with partial help from Love Wishes. "What better Santa than me, especially when my sock idea was approved by the real Santa? Of course, the real tricky part was making sure it wasn't obvious it was me all long. Rather than be in a costume, I took inspiration from my paint accident to completely change how I looked, even my eyes. Love Wishes guided me to each pony's house too and surprisingly no one found out," commented Minty. Love Wishes said it was great practice for her own duties on Valentine's Day.
Article #131 Amusement Park Gets Major Revamp
Ponyville's Rainbow Wishes Amusement Park got quite the overhaul earlier this week. "It was starting to fall apart and needed new paint, but we opted to make the coaster larger and bigger so more ponies could ride it at once. It also really did look like a rainbow when we were done, making the name more fitting," explained Skywishes. Sunny Daze said a lot of paint was needed and they started with the most urgent needs of repair first and worked their way up.
Article #130 Heart-Eyed Ponies Working Through Struggles
Having been at their jobs for about a week, there's been some setbacks along the way. "Even though I love this sort of thing, I've had trouble getting in and out of chimneys and have had to refine how I get in and out of them, but it's still slow going," commented Chimney Sweet. Valentine Sweet says her problem was getting the addresses right.
Article #129 Minty Tickled Pink Again
With preparations for Valentine's Day underway, Minty found herself with a blast from her past. "It wasn't as adventerous as the first time around, but I was back to being pink, though everyone knew it was me this time so I guess I'll leave it for a while. Maybe it'll be there until Valentine's Day?" explained Minty. Pinkie Pie said it was much easier to tell it was Minty than before given her teal coat was less pink, especially around her eyes.
Article #128 Love Wishes Gearing Up for Valentine's Day
Ponyville's Valentine's Day pony is setting up for the upcoming "Delivery Spree" as she calls it. "It's going to be a long day of making deliveries of residents' Valentine's Day cards. Obviously the residents could do it themselves, but having me do it instead ensures they have no idea who sent what. Candy Heart said she's helping out as well and has her own stash to deliver.
Article #127 Kimono Starts Second School Year
With a mostly successful first year completed, Kimono opted to open up her school for a second year. "Things can only go up from here as my students are learing as they go and doing quite well overall. I do intend on having different students each week, just to keep things fresh, but I track all their progress," explained Kimono. Rainbow Dash said she's certainly feeling more confident than the first time around.
Article #126 Sunny Daze Practices Weather Forecasting
Having attempted it last year without much success, Sunny Daze is using the sky to understand what's next. "From what I've seen the clouds do, it's not much to go on since we don't generally have much bad weather here, but we've had snow recently and that's a start," admitted Sunny Daze. Minty said she doesn't understand anything of what Sunny Daze has been talking about, but feels it might help over time as Sunny Daze gets better at it.
Article #125 Razzaroo Displays Events Book
With her first book completed, Razzaroo agreed to showcase it for others to see. "It's outside in the center of town in a protective case and I'll try to have a different page on display each day so eventually you should be able to see the whole thing," commented Razzaroo. Minty said she'd rather see it page-by-page in her hooves, but respects Razzaroo's decision to protect it from damage.
Article #124 Spike Solves Map Mystery
Having looked over the map more than several dozen times, he finally has the riddle solved. "With Kimono's help, and cups of hot coca, we were able to unlock the issues I was having before. It turns out this map predates my castle map by about 1000 years and indeed the names are faded, but we had to look at it logically, and that was Kimono's expertise. Obviously the locations it tells of are no longer there, at least not in the form they are on the map, but it turns out this is a map of ancient Ponyville," explained Spike. Kimono said she had a look around town to see if there was any resemblence to the locations on the map and found only slight resemblences.
Article #123 Heart-Eyed Ponies Starting New Jobs
Two of the three heart-eyed ponies are already underway with their new jobs. "It's dirty work, but I love it. Can't even see the dust on me, unless it gets in my mane or tail. I was given a special tool to make it easier as it's a pretty narrow space down there. I take all the precautions before getting in there, but it's worth it," commented Chimney Sweet. Valentine Sweet said she started delivering the invitations for last year's Christmas party as a dry run to get to know the places and now knows she's ready for February's goods.
Article #122 Hide-and-Seek Proves Problematic in Snow
Having had their first snowfall of the year, residents were met with unique challenges playing a game in it. "Turns out-hide-and-seek doesn't work very well in the snow as there aren't many places to hide without anyone finding you, especially if you just jump in to hide under the snow itself. We'd probably have to add in something else like a blanket, but even that will make them somewhat visible," stated Kimono. Star Catcher said she and her pegasus friends paid a visit to play and had to learn of new places to hide.
Article #121 Ponies Have Festive New Years
Residents of G3 Ponyville kicked off the new year with much to talk about. "That was some party last night. Even after Christmas came to an end, we were hard at work about a day later planning for New Year's Day. We'd never done it before, but we knew what we wanted and Rarity suggested the New Year's Rainbow Party to celebrate. We were up until midnight playing games and having a sleepover. Rarity then waved her magic wand at midnight and made a special rainbow appear. Of course, we went right to bed afterwards and were still tired the following morning," yawned Pinkie Pie. Rarity said her special rainbow took extra practice to get the colors to be different than a typical rainbow and she made it larger than normal to boot.
