Yu-Gi-Oh Anime Cards (Page 23)

*Card effects below are as accurate as possible.
Episode 65: No Pain No Game
Contingency Fee
Anime Normal Spell
Your opponent must draw cards until they have 6 cards in their hand. Then, gain 1000 Life Points for each card they drew.
COMMON
Rating: 1
Comments: All the extra LPs probably won't mean much when you could give all the cards your opponent needs to win. Plus you're probably only going to gain no more than 3000 LPs anyway.
Last Machine Acid Virus
Anime Normal Trap
Tribute 1 WATER monster. Check all monsters your opponent controls, your opponent's hand, and all cards they draw (until the end of your opponent's 3rd turn after this card's activation), and destroy all Machine-Type monsters. Inflict 500 damage to your opponent for each monster destroyed by this effect.
COMMON
Rating: 1
Comments: Though it proved to be powerful against Zane, the odds of you finding a Deck it works well against are pretty low, which means you'll probably be Tributing a monster for nothing much of the time.
Acid Slime
WATER / Aqua / Level 3 / ATK 800 / DEF 1000
When this card is destroyed by battle and sent to the Graveyard, inflict 800 damage to your opponent.
COMMON
Rating: 1
Comments: Stats that low and minimal burn damage aren't enough to do well in today's game so this'd need a major buff to be any good.
Episode 64: Camaraderie Contest
Dino Stomp
Anime Quick-Play Spell
Activate only when a Dinosaur-Type monster you control declares an attack. Select 1 Spell or Trap Card your opponent controls, and destroy it.
COMMON
Rating: 1
Comments: Having to wait for an attack to destroy something will probably end up being too late as your opponent could thwart both the attack and the activation of this card, leaving you with likely little else. Plus, we have Mystical Space Typhoon, which is more versatile than this'll ever be unless it gets a butff.
Dark Tyranno
EARTH / Dinosaur / Level 7 / ATK 2600 / DEF 1800
If your opponent has no Attack Position monsters on their side of the field, this card can attack your opponent directly.
COMMON
Rating: 3
Comments: Better than the one we currently have that's for sure as it's a lot easier to meet this card's conditions than Black Tyranno's.
Episode 63: Curry Worries
Mix Spice Garamasala
Anime Normal Spell
Add 3 "Spice" cards from your Deck to your hand.
COMMON
Rating: 2
Comments: Now this card I can give a bit more leeway as it could end up being good, but only if it has good cards to pick from and of course it doesn't get nerfed upon release.
Spell Spice Caraway
Anime Normal Spell
Inflict 200 damage to your opponent, then gain 200 Life Points.
COMMON
Rating: 1
Comments: This card is too pitiful to see play as is if released. Heck, it's not even worth mentioning in the highlights of the product it gets released in.
Curry Fiend Roo
FIRE / Fiend / Level 8 / ATK 0 / DEF 0
This card gains 200 ATK for every removed from play "Spice" card and 300 ATK for every removed from play monster.
COMMON
Rating: 1
Comments: Basically this was Headmaster Dorado's ace monster in his duel with Tyranno Hassleberry and that's sad when you consider it starts off with 0 ATK and DEF, then needs a boatload of removed from play Spice and other monsters to even remotely be a threat, let alone enough to actually take anything down.
Onionman
EARTH / Plant / Level 4 / ATK 1200 / DEF 1200
This onion's odor is toxic to all monsters it encounters.
COMMON
Rating: 1
Comments: The strongest food-related monster among the three but still not good enough to use with all the better monsters released before it.
Counter Spice Cumin
Anime Normal Trap
Activate only when a monster you control is destroyed. Special Summon 1 Level 4 or lower monster from your hand in Attack Position.
COMMON
Rating: 2
Comments: Better than the last two cards and it'd get some use today if released but the new monster appears in Attack Position and only from the hand.
Spell Spice Cinnamon
Anime Normal Spell
Select 1 face-up Attack Position monster you control and 1 face-up Defense Position monster your opponent controls. Change your monster to face-up Defense Position, and change your opponent's monster to face-up Attack Position.
COMMON
Rating: 1
Comments: If you're so desperate to get your monster into Defense Mode that you waste Deck space with cards like this, then you're a bad duelist.
Red Pepper Spice
Anime Normal Spell
Until the End Phase, target monster gains 300 ATK. Then, you can select 1 monster on the field. The selected monster loses 300 ATK, until the End Phase.
COMMON
Rating: 1
Comments: Your Deck recipe shouldn't ever include this card if it gets released as is because both the loss and the gain are too minimal and too short-lived to be of any use.
Potatoman
EARTH / Plant / Level 3 / ATK 900 / DEF 800
A potato that was born to fight. His strength surpasses even the sharpest of utensils.
COMMON
Rating: 1
Comments: Same as Carrotman's comments.
Curry Pot
Anime Continuous Spell
Any monster sent to the Graveyard is removed from play instead. During either player's turn, if "Carrotman", "Potatoman" and "Onionman" that you own are currently removed from play by this card's effect, you can remove all monsters on the field from play to Special Summon 1 "Curry Fiend Roo" from your hand or Deck.
COMMON
Rating: 1
Comments: Literally nothing more than a ripoff of Dimensional Fissure as the only other thing this does is Special Summon Curry Fiend Roo, whom is just as bad.
Carrotman
EARTH / Plant / Level 3 / ATK 800 / DEF 900
A carrot that remained in the soil for decades. It's said that his arms and legs are the result of the soil's special ingredients.
COMMON
Rating: 1
Comments: Regardless of what flavor text you provide, it's still the same lousy Normal Monster akin to the days of LOB and thus not playable.
Episode 62: A Greater Porpoise
Candelato, the Beast of Light
LIGHT / Beast / Level 12 / ATK 0 / DEF 0
This card cannot be Normal Summoned or Set. This card cannot be Special Summoned except by sending 2 cards from your hand to the Graveyard. This card cannot attack during the turn it is Summoned. This card gains 1000 ATK for each card in your hand. While you control this face-up card, you skip your Draw Phases.
COMMON
Rating: 1
Comments: Sounds like a weaker version of Slifer the Sky Dragon given its 1000 ATK per card in your hand but can't attack right away and you lose your Draw Phases while it's out on the field.
Episode 61: I've Seen the Light (Continued)
Selection of Fate
Anime Normal Spell
Your opponent selects 1 random card in your hand. If it is a Monster Card, Special Summon it.
COMMON
Rating: 2
Comments: A bit better than A Hero Emerges in that you can activate it anytime but unless you have a good selection, you'll likely get nothing.
