2019 Gold Sarcophagus Tin
TN19-EN002 | |
Card Type: | Ritual Monster |
Card Info | Magician of Black Chaos MAX DARK / Spellcaster-Type Ritual / Level 8 / ATK 2800 / DEF 2600 You can Ritual Summon this card with "Chaos Form". If this card is Special Summoned: You can Tribute 1 monster; your opponent cannot activate monster effects this turn. When this card destroys an opponent's monster by battle: You can target 1 Spell in your GY; add it to your hand. You can only use each effect of "Magician of Black Chaos MAX" once per turn. PRISMATIC SECRET RARE |
Rating: | 2 |
Comments: | It's pointless to Tribute a monster to block only 1/3 of card effects for 1 turn but the other effect gets you a Spell Card back each time it's successful in battle. |
TN19-EN001 | |
Card Type: | Fusion Monster |
Card Info | Blue-Eyes Alternative Ultimate Dragon LIGHT / Dragon-Type Fusion / Level 12 / ATK 4500 / DEF 3800 "Blue-Eyes White Dragon" + "Blue-Eyes White Dragon" + "Blue-Eyes White Dragon" Your opponent cannot target or destroy this card with card effects. Once per turn: You can target 1 card your opponent controls; destroy it. If this card was Fusion Summoned using a monster whose original name is "Blue-Eyes Alternative White Dragon" as material, you can target up to 3 cards your opponent controls instead. This card cannot attack the turn this effect is activated. PRISMATIC SECRET RARE |
Rating: | 4 |
Comments: | Much improved over that reject version from the movie as it's already protected from your opponent's effects. The other effect isn't that great but with 4500 ATK, you have little to worry about. |
Legacy of the Duelist: Link Evolution Video Game Pack
LOD2-EN003 | |
Card Type: | Spell Card |
Card Info | Cynet Codec Continuous Spell If a "Code Talker" monster(s) is Special Summoned from the Extra Deck to your field (except during the Damage Step): You can target 1 of those monsters; add 1 Cyberse monster with the same Attribute from your Deck to your hand, also you cannot Special Summon monsters from the Extra Deck for the rest of this turn, except Cyberse monsters (even if this card leaves the field). You cannot add other monsters with that same Attribute to your hand by the effect of "Cynet Codec" this turn, and you can only activate the effect of "Cynet Codec" once per Chain. SUPER RARE |
Rating: | 1 |
Comments: | There are no good Code Talkers that this can make use of and this is entirely restrained to Cyberse monsters, which also have few members that are good. |
LOD2-EN002 | |
Card Type: | Effect Monster |
Card Info | Micro Coder DARK / Cyberse / Level 1 / ATK 300 / DEF 0 If a Cyberse monster you control would be used as Link Material for a "Code Talker" monster, this card in your hand can also be used as material. If this card is sent from the hand or field to the GY as material for the Link Summon of a "Code Talker" monster: You can either add 1 "Cynet" Spell/Trap from your Deck to your hand, or, if this card on the field was used as material, you can add 1 Level 4 Cyberse monster instead. You can only use each effect of "Micro Coder" once per turn. ULTRA RARE |
Rating: | 2 |
Comments: | While it's too feeble to be on the field apart from a Summon, it has more versatility than monsters like it. |
LOD2-EN001 | |
Card Type: | Link Monster |
Active Link Arrows: Left and Right
Card Info | Progleo LIGHT / Cyberse-Type Link / ATK 1000 / Link-2 2 monsters, except Tokens During your Main Phase, if you control this Link Summoned card: You can banish this card and 1 of your monsters this card points to, then target 1 Link Monster in either GY; Special Summon it, but banish it when it leaves the field. You can only use this effect of "Progleo" once per turn. SUPER RARE |
Rating: | 1 |
Comments: | Why not use Monster Reborn to revive any Link Monster or just any monster instead? |
Shonen Jump | |
JUMP-EN087 | |
Card Type: | Link Monster |
Active Link Arrows: Top, Bottom-Left and Bottom-Right
Card Info | Darkness Metal, the Dragon of Dark
Steel DARK / Dragon-Type Link / ATK 2800 / Link-4 2+ Effect Monsters with the same Type and Attribute You can target 1 of your monsters that is banished or in your GY; Special Summon it to your zone this card points to, in Defense Position, but its effects are negated, also you cannot Special Summon Link Monsters for the rest of this turn, and the Special Summoned monster is placed on the bottom of the Deck when it leaves the field. You can only use this effect of "Darkness Metal, the Dragon of Dark Steel" once per turn. ULTRA RARE |
Rating: | 1 |
Comments: | This is meant to be some kind of evolved counterpart to the original Darkness Metal but it's a disgrace given it's a difficult monster to bring out with nothing to make that effort worthwhile that the original can't do better. |
JUMP-EN086 | |
Card Type: | Effect Monster |
Card Info | Chaos Emperor Dragon - Envoy of the
End DARK / Dragon / Level 8 / ATK 3000 / DEF 2500 Cannot be Normal Summoned/Set. Must be Special Summoned (from your hand) by banishing 1 LIGHT and 1 DARK monster from your GY. You can pay 1000 Life Points; send as many cards in both players' hands and on the field as possible to the GY, then inflict 300 damage to your opponent for each card sent to the opponent's GY by this effect. You cannot activate other cards or effects during the turn you activate this card's effect. ULTRA RARE |
Rating: | 1 |
Comments: | Now it's not even worth using because your entire turn is basically over if the effect is used and you're still paying the LP cost and banishing the LIGHT and DARK monsters just for that result. |
ARC-V Manga Volume 5 | |
YA05-EN001 | |
Card Info | Odd-Eyes Phantasma Dragon DARK / Dragon-Type Pendulum / Level 8 / ATK 3000 / DEF 2500 / Scale 0 You can discard 1 card; add 1 face-up Dragon Pendulum Monster from your Extra Deck to your hand. You can only use this effect of "Odd-Eyes Phantasma Dragon" once per turn. If you have 2 cards in your Pendulum Zones and a face-up "Odd-eyes" Pendulum Monster in your Extra Deck: You can Special Summon this card from your hand. You cannot Pendulum Summon the turn you activate this effect. During damage calculation, if this card attacks an opponent's monster: You can make that opponent's monster lose 1000 ATK for each face-up Pendulum Monster in your Extra Deck, during damage calculation only. You can only use each effect of "Odd-Eyes Phantasma Dragon" once per turn. ULTRA RARE |
Rating: | 3 |
Comments: | Now THIS is a monster that could rival Blue-Eyes White Dragon given its ATK, DEF and Level are identical to BEWD's and it can also double as 1/2 of a Pendulum Scale. Plus, it has no drawbacks either, apart from the effects, which aren't bad enough to hurt using it on its own. |
Championship Series 2018
YCSW-EN011 | |
Card Info | Chaos Emperor, the Dragon of
Armageddon DARK / Dragon-Type Pendulum / Level 8 / ATK 3000 / DEF 2500 / Scale 1 You can pay 1000 LP, then target 1 of your banished Dragon monsters; destroy this card, and if you do, add that monster to your hand. You can only use this Effect of "Chaos Emperor, the Dragon of Armageddon" once per turn. Cannot be Normal Summoned/Set. Must be Special Summoned (from your hand or Extra Deck) by banishing 1 LIGHT and 1 DARK monster from your GY. You can only Special Summon "Chaos Emperor, the Dragon of Armageddon" once per turn this way. Once per turn: You can pay half your LP; send as many cards you control as possible to the GY, except from the Extra Monster Zone, and if you do, send cards your opponent controls to the GY, up to the number of your cards sent to the GY, then, inflict 300 damage to your opponent for each of their cards sent to the GY by this effect. If this face-up Special Summoned card leaves the field, return it on the bottom of the Deck. ULTRA RARE |
Rating: | 2 |
Comments: | It's at least tournament legal unlike most prize cards these days but that's not saying much when it's pretty much an even worse version of Chaos Emperor Dragon after its erratum. The only redeeming properties is has are being a Pendulum Monster with a low Scale. |
ARC-V Manga Volume 4 | |
YA04-EN001 | |
Card Type: | Synchro Monster |
Card Info | White Aura Bihamut WATER / Fish-Type Synchro / Level 10 / ATK 3300 / DEF 3000 1 Tuner Synchro Monster + 1+ non-Tuner monsters During your turn, when this card is Synchro Summoned: You can Special Summon 1 "Divine Dragon Token" (Fish/WATER/Level 10/ATK 3300/DEF 3000) in Defense Position. Once per opponent's turn, while you control no Tokens (Quick Effect): You can Special Summon 1 "Divine Dragon Token". If this card you control is destroyed by an opponent's card effect and sent to your GY while you control a "Divine Dragon Token": You can Special Summon this card in Defense position. ULTRA RARE |
Rating: | 1 |
Comments: | Having to use a Synchro Monster that is also a Tuner to bring this guy out already hurts this card and what do you get for this? 1 free Token with the same ATK and DEF as this card and a 2nd effect that revives itself when you control one of those Tokens. Star Eater doesn't have it anywhere near as bad thanks to its generic Synchro Materials and better effects. |
Shonen Jump | |
JUMP-EN085 | |
Card Type: | Synchro Monster |
Card Info | Shooting Riser Dragon LIGHT / Dragon-Type Synchro-Type Tuner / Level 7 / ATK 2100 / DEF 1700 1 Tuner + 1+ non-Tuner monster If this card is Synchro Summoned: You can send 1 monster from your Deck to the GY with a Level lower than this card's on the field, and if you do, reduce this card’s Level by the sent monster's Level, but you cannot activate the effect of that monster, or cards with the same name for the rest of this turn. You can only use this effect of "Shooting Riser Dragon" once per turn. Once per Chain, during your opponent's Main Phase, you can (Quick Effect): Immediately after this effect resolves, Synchro Summon using this card you control. ULTRA RARE |
Rating: | 2 |
Comments: | Honestly, the only good thing about it, apart from being a Tuner is the somewhat restricted Foolish Burial effect and that's not much considering it's a one-time deal and this card doesn't get any benefit other than a lower Level. It's also pretty weak for a Level 7 monster and of course has the lame stall tactic by allowing you to Synchro Summon during the opponent's turn. |

CT15-EN010 | |
Card Type: | Link Monster |
Active Link Arrows: Bottom-Left and Bottom-Right
Card Info | Junk Connector DARK / Warrior-Type Link / ATK 1700 / Link-2 2 Effect Monsters (Warrior and/or Machine), including a Tuner Once per turn, during the Main or Battle Phase, you can (Quick Effect): Immediately after this effect resolves, Synchro Summon 1 Synchro Monster using only monsters this card points to. If this Link Summoned card is destroyed by battle or opponent's card effect and sent to the GY: You can Special Summon 1 “Junk” Synchro Monster from your Extra Deck. (This is treated as a Synchro Summon.) ULTRA RARE |
Rating: | 2 |
Comments: | It's quite weak but that will allow you get out a good Junk Synchro Monster to take its place when it inevitably gets destroyed. |
CT15-EN009 | |
Card Type: | Synchro Monster |
Card Info | Martial Metal Marcher WIND / Machine-Type Synchro-Type Tuner / Level 3 / ATK 500 / DEF 2200 1 Tuner + 1+ non-Tuner monsters If this card is Synchro Summoned: You can target 1 Tuner in your GY; Special Summon it in Defense Position, but negate its effects. You can only use this effect of “Martial Metal Marcher” once per turn. A Synchro Monster that used this card as Synchro Material is treated as a Tuner while face-up on the field. ULTRA RARE |
Rating: | 1 |
Comments: | All that metal is a hunk of scrap because this guy doesn't offer anything that isn't better done with previously released cards. |
CT15-EN008 | |
Card Type: | Synchro Monster |
Card Info | Stardust Assault Warrior WIND / Warrior-Type Synchro / Level 6 / ATK 2100 / DEF 1200 1 Tuner + 1+ non-Tuner monsters When this card is Synchro Summoned while you control no other monsters: You can target 1 “Junk” monster in your GY; Special Summon it. You can only use this effect of “Stardust Assault Warrior” once per turn. If this card attacks a Defense Position monster, inflict piercing battle damage to your opponent. ULTRA RARE |
Rating: | 2 |
Comments: | Only the piercing battle damage effect is any good because you probably won't be monsterless when you bring this card out, nor is that ideal. |
CT15-EN007 | |
Card Type: | Effect Monster |
Card Info | Junk Collector EARTH / Warrior / Level 5 / ATK 1000 / DEF 2200 (Quick Effect): You can banish this card on the field and 1 Normal Trap in your GY; apply that banished Trap’s effects. (The Trap’s activation requirements must still be correct, but costs are not paid.) ULTRA RARE |
Rating: | 1 |
Comments: | Pretty bad to not only have this guy be a Level 5 with poor stats for its Level but also requiring itself to be taken off the field and get rid of a Trap Card in your Graveyard just to apply that Trap Card's effect. The only upside is you don't pay the Trap Card's activation cost. |
CT15-EN006 | |
Card Type: | Link Monster |
Active Link Arrows: Top, Bottom-Left and Bottom-Right
Card Info | Arcana Extra Joker LIGHT / Warrior-Type Link / ATK 2800 / Link-3 3 Warrior monsters with different names Once per turn, when a Spell/Trap Card, or monster effect, is activated that targets this face-up card on the field and/or a monster(s) it points to (Quick Effect): You can discard the same type of card (Monster, Spell, or Trap); negate the activation. When this Link Summoned card is destroyed by battle and sent to the GY: You can Special Summon 1 Level 4 Warrior Normal Monster from your Deck, and if you do, add 1 Level 4 Warrior monster from your Deck to your hand. ULTRA RARE |
Rating: | 3 |
Comments: | While a straight-up Warrior-Type monster Deck is best with this, it's still pretty easy to Summon and will go further than its Fusion Monster counterpart since it lacks a Level to be affected with Gravity Bind/Level Limit - Area B. |
CT15-EN005 | |
Card Type: | Fusion Monster |
Card Info | Mudragon of the Swamp WATER / Wyrm-Type Fusion / Level 4 / ATK 1900 / DEF 1600 2 monsters with the same Attribute but different Types Your opponent cannot target monsters on the field with the same Attribute as this card with card effects. Once per turn (Quick Effect): You can declare 1 Attribute; this card becomes that Attribute until the end of this turn. ULTRA RARE |
Rating: | 1 |
Comments: | Doesn't matter how you bring this guy out or what Attribute you give it as nothing you do makes it worthwhile to play this card. |
CT15-EN004 | |
Card Type: | Effect Monster |
Card Info | Keeper of Dragon Magic DARK / Dragon / Level 4 / ATK 1800 / DEF 1300 If this card is Normal or Special Summoned: You can discard 1 card; add 1 “Polymerization” Normal Spell or “Fusion” Normal Spell from your Deck to your hand. You can reveal 1 Fusion Monster in your Extra Deck; Special Summon 1 of the Fusion Materials whose name is specifically listed on that card from your GY in face-down Defense Position. You can only use each effect of “Keeper of Dragonic Magic” once per turn. You cannot Special Summon monsters from the Extra Deck, except Fusion Monsters, the turn you activate either of this card's effects. ULTRA RARE |
Rating: | 3 |
Comments: | While the 1st effect is better done with Elemental HERO Woodsman, this guy has decent ATK and other effects that can help you, evne if their drawbacks make them less ideal to use. |
CT15-EN003 | |
Card Type: | Effect Monster |
Card Info | Elemental HERO Solid Soldier EARTH / Warrior / Level 4 / ATK 1300 / DEF 1100 When this card is Normal Summoned: You can Special Summon 1 Level 4 or lower “HERO” monster from your hand. If this card is sent from the Monster Zone to the GY by a Spell effect: You can target 1 “HERO” monster in your GY, except “Elemental HERO Solidman”; Special Summon it in Defense Position. You can only use this effect of “Elemental HERO Solid Soldier” once per turn. ULTRA RARE |
Rating: | 2 |
Comments: | With only 1300 ATK and 1100 DEF, it's not all that ideal to Normal Summon it, unless you have something to Special Summon or plan to Xyz/Synchro/Link Summon with it. The other effect isn't bad but won't go off unless it's sent to the Grave by a Spell Card's effect. |
CT15-EN002 | |
Card Type: | Synchro Monster |
Card Info | Junk Speeder WIND / Warrior-Type Synchro / Level 5 / ATK 1800 / DEF 1000 1 “Synchron” Tuner + 1+ non-Tuner monsters If this card is Synchro Summoned: You can Special Summon as many “Synchron” Tuners as possible with different Levels from your Deck in Defense Position. You cannot Special Summon monsters from the Extra Deck, except Synchro Monsters, the turn you activate this effect. When an attack is declared involving this card that was Synchro Summoned this turn and another monster: You can make this card’s ATK become double its original ATK until the end of this turn. You can only use each effect of “Junk Speeder” once per turn. SECRET RARE |
Rating: | 2 |
Comments: | Not all that strong but can give you extra Tributes/defenses when it's Synchro Summoned. Unfortunately, that prevents you from doing any Special Summons outside of a Synchro Summon that turn. Still, if you haven't Normal Summoned yet, you can probably make use of the monsters you brought out with its effect that way. |
