Episode 146: Forever ZEXAL
We find Yuma and Astral on the roof of his house (in what is most likely a flashback, though there's no indicaiton) discussing the future Astral has in mind after the Numbers are collected and he returns to Astral World. Yuma will duel before they leave whereby he'll win and Astral will be the one crying all the way home. Sure enough, it's back to reality as Yuma slowly falls to the ground after the attack Astral made that leaves Yuma down to 300 LPs.  As the groups look on, some fear the worst while others cheer Yuma on but Yuma cannot figure out what Astral is trying to tell him. Astral wants Yuma to figure it out but in the meantime uses Overlay Accel's effect to detach an Xyz Material from Utopia Roots and let it attack again, considering the duel quite fun. It's enough to remind Yuma that he's forgotten to have fun when he duels thanks to all the tears he'd been shedding recently.
It's what Yuma needed and since he's being attacked directly, he activates Danger Draw to draw 1 card, then negate the attack and activate it if it's a Trap Card. To everyone's surprise, Yuma performs a Shining Draw without Astral and gets a Trap Card, negating the attack. Furthermore, he activates Halfway to Forever to let him Xyz Summon using monsters from his Graveyard as Xyz Material. With that, he uses Gagaga Cowboy and Gagaga Samurai as Xyz Material from the Graveyard for Future Number 0: Utopic Future (Number F0: Utopic Future in the CG) (0000) in Attack Mode. Everone watches in awe at the new monster before Yuma draws and attacks Utopia Roots with his monster. Astral becomes confused, then decides to activate Utopia Roots' effect to give Utopic Future an Xyz Material from itself, lowering Roots' ATK to 300. However, due to Utopic Future's effect, Yuma takes no damage, Utopic Future cannot be destroyed in battle and Yuma gains control of Utopia Roots until the end of the turn.
Yuma attacks with his temporarily contorlled Utopia Roots, leaving Astral down to 550 and commending Yuma's move. Yuma sets 1 card to end his turn, giving Astral Utopia Roots back and returning its ATK to 2000. Astral draws, showing his own variation of Shining Draw before playing Hyper-Rank-Up-Magic Ultimate Force to use Utopia Roots as Xyz Material for Number 99: Utopic Dragon (4000) in Attack Mode, then make Ultimate Force an Xyz Material to that monster.  Due to Number 99's effect, Astral can revive Number 39: Utopia Beyond (3000) in Attack Mode from the Graveyard and it's not a monster Yuma wants to see. (The real card can Special Summon any Number monster, but only in Defense Position.) Astral attacks with Utopic Dragon and Yuma is ready to temporarily gain control of the monster but Astral counters with Utopic Dragon's other effect to detach an Xyz Material from itself, prvent its destruction in battle and destroy all other monsters on the field.
In response, Yuma activates Utopic Future's other effect to detach an Xyz Material from itself and prevent its destruction. However, it wasn't Astral's plan as Astral wanted to destroy Utopia Beyond to deal Yuma damage equal to its ATK. Yuma's score drops to 0 but Yuma uses Utopic Future's 3rd effect to detach an Xyz Material from itself and reduce the damage to 0, returning his score to 300. (The real Utopic Future doesn't have this effect and the whole scene was pointless I might add.) With that, Astral ends his turn and he's surprised to see Yuma having survived but since it's their last duel together, Yuma doesn't want it to end. Yuma draws and attacks Utopic Dragon with Utopic Future, even managing to prevent its destruction with its effect. Furthermore, he activates Hi-Five the Sky to negate Utopic Future's effects but let it attack again, leaving the others majorly worried.
Luckily, Yuma also activates Memories of Courage to give Utopic Future 500 ATK for each Number monster in their Graveyards, raising its ATK to 4000 for the 8 Number monsters in the Graveyards. As a bonus, should Utopic Future battle a monster with the same ATK, it's not destroyed in battle and can attack again if it deals no Battle Damage. His first attack takes out Utopic Dragon but the 2nd forces Astral to activate The Door of Destiny, negating the attack and Special Summoning itself as a monster (0000) in Attack Mode. (The real Hi-Five the Sky prevents the opponent from activating card effects when the affected monster attacks.) Now Yuma must destroy it or Astral will use its other effect to defeat him next turn. Yuma doesn't want to destroy the door that started it all and the monster taunts him with the very thing the door said to him back when it all started. Eventually, since Astral reminds Yuma that he'll always have Astral in his heart, Yuma activates Double or Nothing! to double Utopic Future's ATK to 8000 and let it attack again since its ATK was negated. Yuma recalls everything they'd been through before declaring his attack.
The attack connects and the door is destroyed, winning Yuma the duel and leaving everyone else at a loss for words. Astral sits up and Yuma helps him up the rest of the way before the Numeron Code appears to signal Astral's departure. Astral will always remember Yuma's smile and departs, leaving a few to shed tears as he leaves but will surely not be forgotten. The duo will be friends forever until the end of time and Astral makes his final observation. Sometime later, Yuma is racing Bronk and loses so Bronk lets Rio decide Yuma's fate. Unfortunately, Rio decides to force Yuma to dress as Rainbow Kuriboh for an entire week, which isn't what Yuma wants to hear, though it's better than being dressed up as Gagaga Girl. Nash considers Yuma the best dweeb they've ever had while  Yuma's parents reflect on being brought home and Kite and others help decode dimensions.
Things are back to normal when Nash and crew get Yuma's attention as he sits with Tori to note of trouble for Astral World. Yuma and others are transported inside the key while Elephus and Ena watch the threat unfold before them. As the group fly through, Tori admits her love over Yuma and holds his hand. The group and Astral start to converge, ready to face whatever awaits them next.
