Episode 136: The Forsaken Palace | |
We find past Vector being ambushed by spirits he tormented in spite of
claiming to not meaning to do the deeds. It was just a nightmare and Don
Thousand picks up on Vector's fear but hopes that Vector can handle it
considering that Nash is getting closer. Vector isn't concerned and even
manages to restrain Don Thousand before sending him away. Nash races
through and finds Vector in human form while Astral and others forge
through the portal to Barian World. Back in Barian World, Nash is ready
to make Vector pay but none of his threats scare Vector at all as Vector
is unable to take Nash seriously. With seemingly no other way to settle
things, the duo get duel preparations underway before Vector draws and
activates Contract with Don Thousand to
force Nash to pay 2000 LPs, bringing his score down to 2000 but Nash
isn't willing to give in just yet. Due to Contract with Don Thousand's
effect, they each draw 1 card and must reveal all cards they draw.
Furthermore, if either of them draw a Spell Card, that user cannot
Normal Summon that turn. Nash gets a Spell Card but Vector gets
Umbral Horror Golem, which he then Summons
(800) in Attack Mode. Finally, Vector sets 2 cards to end his turn, assuring that he'll win regardless of what Nash does. While Yuma and crew enter Barian World, Nash draws another Spell Card but it's one that'll get him around the Contract. With that, Nash activates Rank-Up-Magic - The Seventh One to Special Summon Number 101: Silent Honor ARK (2100) in Attack Mode, then use it as Xyz Material for Chaos Number 101: Silent Honor DARK (Number C101: Silent Honor DARK in the CG) (2800) in Attack Mode. Nash doesn't fear Umbral Horror Golem's effect as he uses Silent Honor DARK's effect to make UHG an Xyz Material on itself. His attack brings Vector down to 1200 LPs and it's seen as far away as the airship where Yuma and crew are residing. At the duel, Vector thanks Nash for the attack and activates Chaos Rising to Special Summon a random Chaos Xyz Monster from his Extra Deck since he took 2000 or more damage from a Chaos Number monster. His random pick yields him Chaos Number 65: King Overfiend (Number C65: King Overfiend in the CG) (1600) in Attack Mode. Nash knows something is up and sets 1 card to end his turn, knowing he needs to figure out what the strategy is. Vector draws and activates Chaos Caller to send Contract with Don Thousand to the Graveyard and Special Summon 3 Chaos Number monsters like Chaos Number 104: Umbral Horror Masquerade (Number C104: Umbral Horror Masquerade in the CG (3000), Chaos Number 102: Archfiend Seraph (Number C102: Archfiend Seraph in the CG) (2900), and Chaos Number 103: Ragnafinity (2800) in Attack Mode, each without their effects. (They also don't mention that using Chaos Caller requres you to already control a Chaos Number monster, which Vector does.) Nash isn't so angry anymore as two of the Chaos Numbers Vector Summoned belonged to his Barian friends but with them all gone, Nash is alone but Yuma protests otherwise as he and his friends arrive from the airship and learn that Nash is not on their side. Nash assures he'll take down Vector but Vector shows just how much power he has now, including a new transformation. What's more is that this very location is where Nash hit Vector hard in the past and Vector barely escaped in one piece. It's only part of the story as Astral notes of the legend where Vector vanquished everyone else in his kingdom and was unstoppable until beaten by Nash. Regardless, Vector isn't about to let history repeat itself and takes out Silent Honor DARK with Umbral Horror Masquerade, leaving Nash down to 1800 LPs. However, due to Silent Honor DARK's effect, it's revived since it had Xyz Material and gives Nash LPs equaal to its ATK, raising his score to 4600. Vector still has attacks left and attacks with all of them, leaving Nash defenseless and down to 100 LPs. Vector is relieved Nash still has energy left and sets 2 cards to end his turn. Nash gets up and draws before playing Split Defender to gain control of Vector's monster with the highest DEF as Nash controls no monsters, but since there are two monsters with the highest DEF, Vector now gets to choose. However, Vector activates Guard Off to make all their DEFs 0 and deal 400 damage for each monster he controls with 0 DEF, leaving Nash to take 1600 damage. However, Nash is ready and activates Xyz Charge Up to reduce the damage to 0. With Split Defender's effect, Vector gives King Overfiend to Nash but considers it a minor loss. Nash considers it plenty though and uses XCU's other effect to send it to the Graveyard and raise King Overfiend's ATK by the amount of damage it negated, raising its ATK by 1600 to 3200. Nash's attack takes out Umbral Horror Masquerade to leave Vector on the ground, down to 1000 LPs and now regaining his true memories, for better or worse. |
