Episode 126: Farewell for a Friend | |
While the gang holds on to Quattro's signal from the car, Quattro is
ready to prove Nash wrong and draws before struggling to stand. Next he
plays Triangle Gimmick Box to remove from
play the three Xyz Monsters in his Graveyard and bring out
Gimmick Puppet of Leo (3200) in Attack
Mode and it's a monster Nash remembers nearly losing to but knows that
since it was brought out with TGB, it has no effects and thus is
practically harmless. However, Quattro isn't done and activates another
Rank-Up-Magic Argent Chaos Force to use
Number 88 as Xyz Material for Chaos Number 88:
Gimmick Puppet Disaster Leo (Number C88: Gimmick Puppet Disaster
Leo in the CG) (3500) in Attack Mode, leaving Vector excited with
laughter. Quattro is well aware of Silent Honor DARK's effects so he
activates Disaster Leo's effect to detach an Xyz Material from itself
and deal Nash 4000 damage. (The real card only deals 1000 damage.) As a
result, Nash is left on the ground with 1300 LPs. Nash isn't ready to give in but Vector realizes that would've been it for Nash had Nash not had so many LPs beforehand. Nash is still confident he'll win until he learns that Disaster Leo has all of Puppet of Leo's effects, including an automatic victory for Quattro at the end of the turn. (The real card only gets this effect if the opponent has 2000 or less LPs and the card itself has no Xyz Materials, both of which are true here.) Quattro decides to end his turn (though doesn't say so), triggering Disaster Leo's effect. However, when the smoke clears, Nash is still standing and Disaster Leo has an Xyz Material as Nash activated Overlay Award to detach an Xyz Material from Silent Honor DARK and attach it to Disaster Leo, negating the instant victory effect. Quattro will just finish off Nash next turn but Nash draws and activates Cross Draw of Destiny to force both players to draw 1 card and if it's a Monster Card, it's Summoned on their opponent's field in Defense Mode and gives the owner of that monster LPs equal to that monster's ATK. Nash must draw a monster or he's through. Whille Quattro gets anything but a monster, Nash is luckier and Special Summons Silent Wobby (1000) in Attack Mode to Quattro's field, giving Nash 1000 LPs to 2300. Next, Nash uses DARK's effect to make SW an Xyz Material to itself. His attack destroys Silent Honor DARK, leaving his score down to 1600. However, since Silent Honor DARK had an Xyz Material when it was destroyed, it returns to Nash's field and Nash gets 2800 LPs, raising his score to 4400. Now Nash activates Power Stream, which becomes Silent Honor DARK's Xyz Material. Even though Quattro can't win with Disaster Leo's effect now, he hasn't lost all options to win and drew a card to take down Nash thanks to CDoD. He activates Gimmick Vengeance to deal Nash damage equal to Disaster Leo's ATK, leaving Nash down to 900 LPs. Quattro needs one more turn to win but Nash protests it's not going to happen because Power Stream gives DARK 1000 ATK to 3800. It's all the proof Quattro needs to conclude it's over for him. Nash's attack takes out Disaster Leo to win the duel and send Quattro away. Nash isn't surprised as it was never in the cards for Quattro to win anyway. Inside the car, Yuma comes to again and needs a little help filling in so Astral explains the beginning of what happened before Yuma remembers the rest. However, Yuma doesn't know the fate of his friends and learns they were fighting to save him, though they aren't willing to share all about them. Worse still, Trey loses Quattro's signal andf the stop the car at an intersection, wondering if Quattro lost and was sent to Barian World. The Barians gather where Nash defeated Quattro and know they still must deal with 5 foes so Nash orders them to find those 5 and win. With that, the group disperses. While Vector knows that he'll have to step it up or Nash may become too powerful even for him, Yuma learns the fate of his friends but Kite arrives to try and snap Yuma out of his pity as they're all to blame for what happened to their friends. They have to take down the Barians once and for all, including Shark because he's their enemy now. Yuma refuses to give up on Shark and decides they should keep trying but Astral realizes they should tackle the source of the matter in Don Thousamnd instead of fighting the Barians. After a brief introduction to him, Yuma is ready to take Don Thousand down but Kite isn't going along, considering the ordeal less important and heads off with Orbital 7. In a bigger shock, not only are Trey and Quinton not joining them but Trey is tired of Yuma's speech and says one has to be strong to get revenge, even if that may not be what Quattro would've wanted. Yuma doesn't want Tori and the others going and instead gives them a message for Haru. However, Cathy doesn't want Tori to go without Yuma and gets her to go with the duo anyway, figuring Yma would be distracted if she went along herself. Meanwhile, Trey has introduced Quinton to Yuma' duel fuel food and Quinton wishes Yuma could duel as good as the food tastes. They had no other choice but to leave Yuma and the others as they knew the Barians were coming. Furthermore, this'll allow Yuma and Astral to deal with Don Thousands while the two fo them take on the Barians as decoys. Qunton has faith in Yuma because Yuma is their last hope. However, Mizar arrives demanding to know where Yuma is but Quinton and Trey aren't interested so Mizar plans to bringout his Tachyon Dragon to change their mind. Plus, the two of them won't chicken out as Quattro would probably never let them live it down. |
