Episode 124: Battle with the Barians | |
As the gang look on streams of light appear and cause destruction before
the seven Barians appear before them, leaving the group confused when
they find Shark and Rio among them. Shark doesn't answer right away but
when he does, he tells them he's now called Nash but Tori cannot accept
that. Yuma agrees and wants to know what's really going on so the
Barians transform into their true selves. Nash introduces himself and
his group and it's enough to get Yuma to accept, though it's hard to
sink in. Astral recalls reading a story about Shark's past when they
were in the ruins. Even so, Yuma doesn't buy it and maintains that Shark
isn't whom he claims to be and wants to duel. However, his key fires
energy that meets Nash's Barian emblem, leaving Yuma to get visions of
Shark's past while Shark gets Yuma's memories, leaving both of them
weak. Roku's voice calls out to them to escape and the group do so with help from a smokescreen. They find a vehicle and get in, taking Yuma and Kite with them. It seems so far the Barians haven't found them but Cathy fears they're still searching. Sure enough, Mizar finds them but gets attacked by Anna Kaboom, bringing their feud to the roof. Furthermore, Nelson Andrews appears as the Sparrow, promptiung Bronk to ask to be let out of the car to take care of some business. One-by-one, the Barians are approached by duelists ready to fight but are unphased and ready to fight back. Bronk has found Rio and maintains that she'll always be Rio to him and is ready to fight in spite of his lesser dueling skills. Meanwhiile, Quinton is still behind the wheel when he finds Nash at an interesection and is forced to stop. With that, Quattro steps out to take Nash on and has to convince Quinton that there's no point in trying to stop him. Plus since Yuma is out of action, Quattro feels he's the next best duelist for the task and gets a new Spell Card that was made. Quinton accepts and drives away, leaving Quattro to move into place and talk with Nash, convinced that Nash is still on their side and not really a Barian but Nash states otherwise. Back in the car, Astral tries getting through to Yuma to feel the bonds of his friends taking part in the struggle. Duel preparations get underway for everyone about to duel as Vector watches with amusement, ready to see if Nash has what it takes to unleash his full potential. Quattro takes the first turn by drawing and playing Gimmick Puppet Humpty Dumpty (0000) in Attack Mode. Next, he uses Humpty Dumpty's effect to Special Summons Gimmick Puppet Gear Changer (100) in Attack Mode. Then he uses Level Doubler to discard 1 card and double GPHD's Level to 8. With that done, Quattro activates GPGC's effect to make its Level the same as GPHD's Level, making it Level 8 too. Now, he uses his monsters as Xyz Material for Number 15: Gimmick Puppet Giant Grinder (1500) in Attack Mode. After that, he equips Number 15 with Gimmick Shield to swap its ATK with its DEF, giving it 2500 ATK and 1500 DEF, but also dealing Nash 300 damage per Xyz Material attached to that monster, bringing Nash down by 600 to 3400. Since Quattro ends his turn, Nash draws and plays Saber Shark (1600) in Attack Mode. Next, he Special Summons Silent Angler (800) in Attack Mode as he controls a WATER monster. With that, he uses his monsters as Xyz Material for Number 101: Silent Honor ARK (2100) in Attack Mode, a monster Quattro has never seen Shark use before. Worse still, Nash uses its effect to detach an Xyz Material from itself and make Number 15 its Xyz Material. (The real card requires you to detach 2 Xyz Materials from it to use the effect.) With Quattro defenseless, Nash attacks him directly, leaving Quattro down to 1900 LPs. Nash sets 1 card to end his turn, stating the worst is yet to come. Meanwhile, Marin Xyz Summons Number 103: Ragnazero (2400) in Attack Mode. Back with Nash and Quattro, Quattro draws and likes what he sees befre playing Overlay Dark Reincarnation to detach a random Xyz Material from Silent Honor ARK and if it happens to be one of his own monsters, he can Special Summon it, then draw 1 card, or halve his LPs if not. Luckily he gets Number 15 and thus draws 1 card. Next he activates Rank-Up-Magic Argent Chaos Force, which Nash hasn't heard of before, allowing Quattro to use Number 15 as Xyz Material for Chaos Number 15: Gimmick Puppet Giant Hunter (Number C15: Gimmick Puppet Giant Hunter in the CG) (2500) in Attack Mode. Then he uses Giant Hunter's effect to detach an Xyz Material from itself, destroy Number 101 and deal Nash damage equal to its ATK. However, Number 101 survives as Nash used its other effect to detach an Xyz Material from itself and prevent its destruction. Quattro isn't giving up and takes out Number 101 with his attack, leaving Nash down to 3000 LPs. It's not enough to change Nash at all and Nash will soon unleash his true chaos. The other Barians are shocked that they're behind but perform a Chaos Draw, releasing pink pillars of light that the rest of the gamg see from their vehicle. Quattro isn't liking what's about to unfold! |
