Episode 117: Now or Never (2) | |
At the duel, Kite and Quntion still don't see it and Scritch notes that
they probably have bad eyesight. Kite feels it but insists he's fine.
However, Yuma finally sees it as a glowing dot behind Scritch. Scritch
sets 1 card to end his turn, assuring that his monster is much better
than it appears. Quinton draws, knowing that there must be more to
Number 2's effects and attacks with Dyson Sphere. However, Scritch uses
Number 2's effect to detach an Xyz Material from itself and not only
prevent its destruction in battle but reduce the Battle Damage Scritch
takes to 0. With that, Quinton sets 2 cards to end his turn. Kite asks
about the portal's charge percentage and learns from Tori it's at 72%
but Scritch considers that plenty of time for him to destroy it. Kite
feels the bite's effects again and draws before attacking. However,
nothing happens as Scritch explains that due to Number 2's effect,
Galaxy-Eyes has a Hallucination Counter on it, which'll not only save
Number 2 but cost one of them LPs equal to GEPD's ATK. Since Quinton is chosen, Quinton activates Micron Force to halve GEPD's ATK to 1500, leaving his score down by that amount to 500. However, Quinton now senses that Kite is having a problem without telling him and Kite only confirms that by hallucinating that Quninton is Scritch and declares that he'll take Quinton down. Nevertheless, Scritch draws and summons Mosquito Commando (300) in Attack Mode. Since Number 2 is out, Scritch sends MC to the Graveyard to put a Hallucination Counter on Number 9: Dyson Sphere. Next he activates Ninjitsu Art of Mosquito Combustion to deal Quinton 600 damage for each monster the duo have with a Hallucination Counter on it. However, Quinton is ready and activates Elastic Space to make Scritch take the damage. Unfortunately, Kite sees Scritch as Quinton and decides to save him by activating Power Exchange to reduce the damage to 0 by lowering GEPD's ATK by that amount, leaving it with 300 ATK. Yuma knows something is wrong and Scritch finally admits to commtting the deed on board the ship they were traveling on. Quinton needs a way to have Kite fight the poison and recalls the past where he dueled Kite nonstop for a week and got Kite down to 100 LPs with Blasting the Ruins. It's clear that Quinton must go to the extreme on Kite and uses his turn to attack Kite's GEPD with Dyson Sphere. The attack connects but when the smoke clears, Kite is down to 500 LPs as he activated Prevent Reborn to reduce the damge he takes by 1000. Furthermore, Kite is free from the poison as his strength has kicked into overdrive but Scritch isn't buying it. As a bonus, PR revives Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon (3000) in Attack Mode with no Hallucination Counters. Quinton isn't as surprised as Yuma because he made Kite a true duelist and therefore knew what strength Kite had. Yuma considers them lucky because they have a bond that he has since lost with Astral's departure. Regardless, Quinton sets 2 cards to end his turn and Kite draws and attacks Number 2. This time, it works and when the monsters return, GEPD gains 1000 ATK to 4000. Scritch isn't happy about it and activates Ninjitsu Art of Mosquito Repellent to remove from play the 4 Mosquito monsters in his Grave and give Number 2 1000 ATK for each of them, raising its ATK to 4000. Furthermore, Scritch can remove Number 2 from play and deal Kite and Quinton damage equal to its ATK, which is more than either Kite or Quinton can spare. However, Kite continues his turn with Eternal Spell, letting it gain the effects of Hologram Projection and thus get a copy of GEPD. Furthermore, Quinton activates Power Analysis to make Dyson Sphere's ATK the same as GEPD's, or 4000. Now, Quinton activates Paradox Synthesis to send both Dyson Sphere and Hologram Projection to the Grave and give GEPD ATK from another monster. Since Qunton chooses Number 2's ATK, GEPD gains 4000 ATK to 12,000. It's impressive but Scritch reminds them GEPD cannot attack again this turn. Kite isn't phased and activates Miracle Galaxy to let GEPD attack once again this turn. Kite isn't interested in anything else Scritch says and takes out Number 2 with GEPD's ATK, winning the duel and obtaining Number 2. The portal has fully charged and activates but Tori isn't so thrilled to have Yuma go until he promises to return. With that, Yuma flies through space determined to find Astral no matter what it takes. |
