Episode 107: Furry Fury | |
At his house, Kari is not happy that Yuma wasn't home in time but Karu
defends him by assuming he was off dueling somewhere. However, they get
interrupted by a news report whereby Master Roku has unearthed a statue
that greatly resembles Girag and Yuma and Tori eventually realize it is
him. Furthermore, artifacts with the statue were also uncovered,
including a coin from Yuma's dad, prompting Yuma to dash out. Tori
apologizes to Kari and follows Yuma out the door. Meanwhile, Girag is
watching his favorite singer on his repaired TV, knowing full well what
little he does day in and day out. However, a quick adjustment of the TV
brings him to the same news story Yuma and his family were watching and
is puzzled at the resemblence to himself. He heads off to check it out and gets a Number card in the process. However, the statue comes to life, having waited for Girag and gives chase when Girag makes for an escape. However, Girag ends up stumbling down the stairs and takes Yuma with him, leaving both to land hard on the bottom step. When Girag comes to, he has a different voice and slightly different appearance but doesn't recognize Yuma, even after Yuma tells him. Furthermore, just when Girag's body walks away, the statue comes to life, revealing that Girag and the spirit have traded places in the accident and Girag wants his body back. Yuma can't believe what he hears so Girag reminds him of past events he was there for, including their duel and thieving from Tori's lunchbox. Commander Kiraku was just waiting for the right day when he could be free and Girag made that happen so now they've swapped places. Girag orders Yuma to duel for his body back but Yuma isn't interested until Girag notes that his body has a Number card, which'll help Astral out if they win. It's enough evidence for Yuma to accept the conditions and get duel preparations underway. CK gets the duel started by drawing and playing Baby Raccoon Ponpoko (800) in Attack Mode. Next he activates Leaf Transformation to Special Summon Baby Raccooon Tantan (0000) in Attack Mode as it's a Raccoon monster. Just as Yuma and Astral fear, CK uses his monsters as Xyz Material for Number 64: Ronin Raccoon Sandayu (1000) in Attack Mode, leaving Yuma to realizes it's the 5th Mytherian Number card. Furthermore, CK activates Number 64's effect to detach an Xyz Material from itself and Special Summon a Kagemusha Token with the same ATK as Number 64. Worse still, Yuma can't attack Number 64 while the token is out. Yuma draws and gets a good draw before setting 1 card. CK doens't like what he hears and decides to switch bodies with Yuma to see what cards he has. Now under Yuma's body, he gets Yuma to Special Summon Toy Knight (200) in Attack Mode as Girag has more monsters. Next, he Special Summons Dododo Witch (1200) in Attack Mode since "Girag" controls a face-down card. Then he ignores Astral's request and Tributes his 2 monsters for Dododo Swordsman (0000) in Attack Mode. Worse still, he uses Monster Reborn to revive Toy Knight in Attack Mode. Now he uses Guard Plus to Tribute TK and give DS DEF equal to TK's ATK, raising its DEF to 3200. He attacks, then switches places again so that Yuma will take the damage. As a result, Yuma falls and loses his monster, bringing him down to 3000 LPs. Yuma asks what's going on and CK explains, revealing that he's a spirit of a raccoon that wasn't exposed back when the legend's events unfolded and more of the story to when CK sent his double packing due to jealousy. Now he wants to make Girag pay but Yuma and Astral must win at all costs to get the Number card. Regardless, CK draws and uses Number 64's effect again to gain another token. Next he attacks Yuma directly with each of his monsters, bringing Yuma down to 1000 LPs and prompting Yuma to activate Burst Rebirth to Special Summon DS face-down in Defense Mode for half his LPs, bringing him down to 500. CK stops his attack and sets 1 card to end his turn, knowing full well he can win with the card he has. Yuma draws and flip summons DS to Attack Mode, giving it ATK equal to the difference in his and CK's score, raising its ATK to 3500 as Girag is able to move his statue's lips. (The real card gains 3500 ATK.)Furthermore, Yuma can now destroy 2 monsters at once and destroys both the tokens. His direct attack forces CK to activate Raccoon Reversal to destroy DS and deal Yuma damage equal to his monster's ATK. However, Yuma counters by discarding Chow Chow Chan from his hand to gain control of RR and acttivate it as his own. (The real card simply negates the card's activation and destroys it.) As a result, CK is left defenseless and down by 1000 LPs to 3000. Yuma's direct attack wins him the duel. Girag hops over to CK and declares him a friend not a failure. Girag had sent CK away because he knew the battle couldn't be won and the enemy was plotting against them for their behavior. He wanted to make sure CK survived but CK maintains they could've won if they battled together and breaks into tears before handing Yuma Number 64 as a thanks. CK comes out of Girag's body but Girag reveals his plan was a ruse to get his body back. He sent CK away once and will do it again right now and takes CK with him but warns that Yuma's next duel with him will be his last. Yuma will be ready and orders Girag to bring it on. |
