Episode 99: A Duel in Ruins (1) | |
In Barian World, Vector is determined to make Yuma and Astral pay and jumps into
the Great Barian Sea to search for the power and strength he desires. He ends up
at the location of Don Thousand, their greatest deity and wants his power in
exchange for setting him free. After an updated version of the intro plays,
others get a strange vibe about it and Yuma's latest attempt to beat the record
fails. Meanwhile, once Don Thousand appears, Vector explains his situation and
is asked to get the seven Mytherian Numbers. Vector agrees and gets Don
Thousand's power. It works and Vector ends up back where he started. In Barian
World, Mizar accuses Vector of starting the mess they now face but Vector plays
innocent. Regardless, Vectors shares what he's learned from Don Thousand about the Mytherian Numbers and that he's brought back Mr. Heartland as a fly, whom is not happy about it. The trio decide to split up to not only locate the Numbers but find Nash, one of their former Barian members but Vector isn't ready to leave just yet and takes more power from two crystallized humans nearby. Elsewhere, Yuma and the others wait for Rio to get what she sensed before but to no avail and Rio is willing to skip dinner if Yuma keeps whining. The airship suddenly appears and takes the group aboard, where they learn what Astral has found about the Mytherian Numbers. The group leave immediately but Dumon is also flying ahead and the two collide, sending Dumon crashing to the ground in his human form as his Barian Crystal was damaged. When a grizzly bear appears, Yuma and Astral manage to step in and scare it off. Shark appears, questioning Yuma's actions but the guy says he's Nash and Yuma doesn't agree that he's a Barian. Just when Shark scolds Yuma for being so gullible, they hear Tori's cry for help and race to find her, only to end up at one of the Mytherian Number locations. A second scream from Tori convinces the group to head inside where they find Tori and others surrounded by snakes. When that's resolved, they don't know where to go as possible passageways are sealed off. However, Yuma and Shark each unintentionally activate a switch that closes off the original entrance and cuts off Shark and Dumon" from the others respectively. Luckily, the original sealed off passageways open up and the group decide to walk down them, where Yuma explains to Tori about Nash and how Astral and Shark feel about him. While Shark and Dumon end up trapped, Yuma and the others find the room with the Mytherian Number card. They find the card but the card brings out Mach, the guardian of said card, whom wants to duel for the rights to own the card. Duel preparations get underway before Mach draws and sets 1 monster and 2 other cards for his turn. Yuma learns of what's also at stake as Mach reveals that Shark and Dumon are trapped and will remain that way should Yuma lose. Despite the walls literally closing in on Shark and Dumon, Yuma agrees to continue the duel and draws. Next he plays Gagaga Magician (1500) in Attack Mode. Next he Special Summons Gagaga Child (800) in Attack Mode since he controls a Gagaga monster and uses its effect to match GM's Level, making it Level 4. Yuma is already ahead of Astral and uses Gagagatag to give his monsters 500 ATK to 2000 and 1300 respectively. Yuma will get Shark and Dumon out of their situation no matter what it takes! |
