Episode 90: You Give Love a Bot Name | |
At (presumably) soccer practice, Yuma jumps through the air before landing hard
on the grass and gets his badge from Ray. Once he's reminded of the secret
they're keeping, Yuma gets a soccer ball to the face. Meanwhile, Orbital 7 is
flying through the skies, wanting a rest but finds himself with a piece of trash
in his face and plummets into the fountain below. When he gets out, he finds a
romance movie trailer in progress and feels his version of love. However, when
the trailer ends, he finds it ridiculous that everyone is already paired up.
Just when he's going back to work, he literally runs into Lillybot and falls in
love with her. Lillybot shows no interest and punches him aside. Back home,
Orbital 7 tries to concentrate but all he thinks about is Lillybot. The next day, Orbital is back outside and after encountering the movie trailer again, he realizes he's in love and gets his 2nd mishap with Lillybot that causes her to lose her (shopping list as it turns out but the abbreviations would never pass as being items on said list, especially since they aren't actually in a list format). As a result, Orbital takes the "shopping list" as a means of distress and proceeds to Yuma's place, where he feels he's abusing her. Lillybot returns home with the proper items while Orbital plots his decision to duel Yuma in spite of how close Yuma's duel with Kite was. At school the next day, Yuma asks Ray if he wants to duel but Orbital 7 arrives with a cape and takes up the duel instead. Later that day, duel preparations get underway despite Yuma having previously lost to a vending machine (though I cannot fathom how unless it ate Yuma's money, in which case that's not a game). Orbital 7 draws and plays a field Spell called Robocircus. Next he summons Super Defense Robot Lio (1200) in Attack Mode. Since a SDR monster was Summoned, Orbital uses RC's effect to Special Summon Super Defense Robot Elephan (1400) in Attack Mode. After that, Orbital uses SDRL's effect to double its Level to Level 8 since he controls another SDR monster. After that, he uses his monsters as Xyz Material for Googly-Eyes Drum Dragon (3000) in Attack Mode (and his Rank is missing from his ATK graphic at 11:09 into the US episode). Yuma ridicules the new monster before drawing and playing Achacha Archer (1200) in Attack Mode, dealing 500 damage to Orbital 7 by its effect, bringing Orbital down to 3500 LPs. Next, Yuma plays Bite Bug (300) in Attack Mode (since Orbital controls an Xyz Monster but they don't tell you that), lowering GEDD's ATK by 300 to 2700. With that, Yuma uses his monsters as Xyz Material for Muzurhythm the String Djinn (1500) in Attack Mode. Now he attacks with Muzurhythm and uses its effect to detach an Xyz Material from itself and double its ATK to 3000. His attack takes out GEDD to leave Orbital down to 3200 LPs. Orbital isn't discouraged and draws before activating Garbage Collection to remove from play the 2 SDR monsters in his Graveyard to Special Summon Googly-Eyes Drum Dragon from his Graveyard in Attack Mode. Next he summons Super Defense Robot Monki (800) in Attack Mode. Due to RC's effect, Orbital plays a second Super Defense Robot Monki and uses both their effects to attach themselves to GEDD as Xyz Materials. (The real SDRM can either Special Summon another SDR or Orbital 7 monster from your hand when Normal Summoned or remove from play 1 Machine-Type monster in your Graveyard to retrieve an SDR monster or Orbital 7 from your Graveyard.) Next he uses GEDD's effect twice to detach 2 Xyz Materials and give it 2000 ATK to 5000. (The real card can only use this effect once per turn but doesn't have to be Special Summoned from the Graveyard.) His attack takes out Muzurhythm to leave Yuma on the ground and down to 500 LPs. Yuma draws and summons Crane Crane (300) in Attack Mode, triggering CC's effect to let Yuma Special Summon Achacha Archer from the Graveyard. Due to AA's effect, Orbital 7 would've taken 500 more damage but Yuma Special Summons Achacha Chanbara (1400) in Attack Mode instead, dealing 400 damage by its effect, bringing Orbital down to 2800 LPs. (AA actually only deals damage when it's Normal Summoned, even in the anime as you can compare the Japanese texts in the anime image with the OCG image and confirm they're exactly the same and therefore wouldn't have allowed Yuma to Special Summon AC that way.) Regardless, since Yuma controls a Level 3 monster, he Special Summons Mimimic (300) in Attack Mode and uses his Achacha monsters as Xyz Material for Temtempo the Percussion Djinn (1700) in Attack Mode. After that, he uses his other 2 monsters as Xyz Material for Melomelody the Brass Djinn (1400) in Attack Mode. Furthermore, he uses Resurrection March to revive a Djin monster from his Graveyard like Muzurhythm the String Djinn. Since it's not enough, Yuma activates Djinn Orchestra to make GEDD lose ATK equal to the combined ATK of Yuma's Djinn monsters. As a result, GEDD loses 4600 ATK, bringing it down to just 400 and Yuma's attacks take it out and win the duel. Orbital figured he'd possibly lose and decides to take it out on Yuma but Lillybot arrives to announce that dinner is ready and Orbital intercepts the strike. When the group figures out what happened, Tori gets Orbital to properly meet Lillybot and Lillybot is willing to be nice but Kite saw the duel and is at least kind enough to compliment Orbital 7's dueling skills. |
