Episode 37: Double Jeopardy (1) | |
We find Nistro handling a cheater until Dextra orders him not to go too far.
Elsewhere, Flip is sleeping in a tree when he falls out and lands on the ground,
recalling what he remembers. However, it's late in the tournament and therefore
his odds of victory are slim unless he can pull a flip flop. Meanwhile, Yuma
puts his fourth Heart Piece into place but Astral is too busy in Astral World to
share his enthusiasm. Spencer is looking for Flip and recalls what happened.
He'd otherwise have to duel for the right pieces and that'd be a long time. In
spite of getting what he deserved, Tori and Yuma agree to help Spencer out.
Other duelists are also reaching the same conclusion and Nistro and Dextra
arrive in time to help out. Flip decides to use one piece of candy to fill the requirement but when he arrives, Nistro catches on and busts him for it. Yuma and Tori arrive to see Flip being taken away and Dextra notes that Yuma is the one they dealt with before. Yuma feels Flip's punishment has gone too far and proposes a duel to give Flip a second chance. Nistro doesn't feel Yuma is a match for him but Yuma claims to be better than both him and Dextra so they agree to a 2 on 1 duel where if Yuma beats either of them, then Flip gets his second chance but if not, he gets Flip's punishment too. In spite of the odds stacked against him, Yuma agrees to the duel and duel preparations take place. Back in Astral World, Astral can't add any new memories to his list before Yuma's duel gets his attention. As he's about to leave, Number 96 interrupts and while Astrals deals with this, Yuma draws and sets a monster and 1 card to end his turn. Dextra draws and summons Morpho Butterspy (1200) in Attack Mode. Next she sets 2 cards to end her turn. Nistro draws and plays Hammer Bounzer (2300) in Attack Mode since Yuma has cards and he himself does not. (What they don't tell you is that it's a Special Summon and the real card is Normal Summoned without Tributes to use this effect.) After some strategizing, Yuma draws and flip-summons his hidden Rai Rider (1200) to Attack Mode. Next he plays Tasuke Knight (1700) in Attack Mode. His attack prompts Dextra to activate Butterflyoke to equip itself to Tasuke Knight, negate the attack and switch TK to Defense Mode. Back in Astral World, Astral is still struggling and nearly gets overtaken by Dark Mist until Utopia steps in. As a result, Dark Mist summons his real self to do that for him. Back at the duel, Dextra draws and plays Swallowtail Butterspy (1800) in Attack Mode. Next she uses Butterflyoke's other effect to switch TK to Attack Mode. Due to MB's effect, TK loses 1000 ATK since it changed its battle position, bringing its ATK down to 700. Her attack with MB takes out RR to leave Yuma down to 3500 LPs. Worse still, she uses SB's effect to force RR to lose ATK equal to the battle damage Yuma took, leaving it too down to 700 ATK. Her attack with SB takes out the weakened RR to leave Yuma on the ground and down to 2400 LPs. While Number 96 struggles to gain Utopia, Nistro draws and summons Blade Bounzer (1800) in Attack Mode. Next, he attacks directly with HB, preventing Yuma from activating Spells or Traps when it attacks since Nistro has no Spell or Trap Cards on his field but Yuma's score only drops to 1600 as Yuma Special Summoned Gagaga Gardna (1500) in Attack Mode since he was attacking directly and used its other effect to discard 1 card and prevent its destruction. (The real card can also be Summoned in Defense Mode, which'd really help Yuma here.) His attack with BB doesn't destroy GG but leaves Yuma down to 1300 LPs. Regardless, Nistro uses BB's effect to discard 1 card (Copy Knight) to let it attack again. Yuma discards his last card to save GG, leaving him down to 1000 LPs. However, since Nistro has 4 cards left, he can keep attacking and discards another card to resume the attack. (The real card can only use this effect once per turn.) This could be the end of Yuma's Gagaga Gardna and Yuma! |
