Episode 35: Bad Developments (1) | |
A duelist with a camera is being possessed by Number 25: Force Focus and
snapping multiple photos of his opponent during their duel before winning.
Meanwhile, Yuma is on the steps recalling the events that have just unfolded.
Tori points out an airship they could get tickets to ride in but Yuma is in no
mood and eventually sends Tori and Astral away. Elsewhere, Kari is told by
another man about a man named Cameron Clix, whom takes front page-worthy photos
and no one can find him and the man she's talking to asks her to find him and
get him to join the newspaper. Kari takes to the road where she learns a bit
more that he'd be in the World Duel Carnival. Sure enough, she finds him in the
midst of another duel that ends in his opponent's defeat via falling equipment. She looks at the photos Cameron left on his victim and realizes that they were taken before the event occurred and thus Cameron can create the future. She informs Yuma, whom eventually decides to be on the look-out. Yuma and Astral converse before Yuma is even aware that Tori left and Astral makes his latest observation. Tori is at the airship and willing to go on board when she spots Cameron and the two recall each others' past together. Cameron takes a shot of Tori's future before Tori runs to to the airship. Meanwhile, Yuma and Astral are having no luck finding Cameron until Astral spots a duel and sure enough, there's Cameron with Number 25: Force Focus on the field to win his latest duel and the duo realize it's a Number card possessing Cameron. They follow Cameron and get him to reveal his master plan to collect Number cards and increase the power of his photos of the future. When the two get into an argument, Kari breaks it up and explains things to Cameron but has no interest in using his latest photo for the newspaper. However, Cameron reveals that Tori and Heartland City are about to be in serious trouble so Yuma contacts Tori as the airship flies overhead but Tori is not finding herself in any danger yet until the left engine fails and the airship starts to fall. Down below, Cameron notes that he only controls the future and what's happening is now the present, which he has no control over. While Kari heads off to attempt to save the airship, Yuma and Cameron resume their discussion and perhaps if they defeat Cameron, Cameron and the events currently going on will revert to normal. Duel preparations take place before Cameron takes multiple photos of Yuma to share his future. Regardless, Yuma is confident and draws before setting a monster and 1 card to end his turn. Cameron draws and summons Cameraclops (1400) in Attack Mode. Next he equips Cameraclops with Telescopic Lens to give it 400 ATK for each card in his hand, and with 4 in hand currently, it gains 1600 ATK to 3000. Then he uses Negative Image Inversion to force Yuma's hidden Gogogo Golem (1800) to Attack Mode and switch its ATK and DEF, giving it 1500 ATK. However, since he has one less card in his hand, Cameraclops loses 400 ATK, bringing it down to 2600. Nevertheless, Cameron attacks and takes out GG to leave Yuma on the ground and down to 2900 LPs. Worse still, news of the disaster on board the airship has spread and its occupants are in a panic while Tori comforts a little girl. On the ground, Cameraon gloats and tells Yuma it's already been decided. Yuma will be defeated by Cameron's Number card and lose his soul! |
