Episode 11: The Pack (1) | |
The next day, Bronk and Yuma get into a duel where Bronk summons
UFO Turtle (1400) in Attack Mode and attacks and
while Caswell discusses things with Tori, Bronk activates
Rush Recklessly to give UFOT 700 ATK to 2100 this turn. As a result,
Yuma's Gagaga Magician is destroyed and Yuma loses for the 20th time in a row
but still wants to duel. Bronk isn't interested and heads home, for meatloaf.
Tori catches up and learns that Bronk isn't liking where Yuma's personality is
going. Yuma went back on his word in his duel with Shark by playing a Number
monster. Yuma broke a promise and Bronk walks away, leaving Tori to realize how
right Bronk is. Meanwhile, Shark's buddies are dueling and one of them wins but
Shark has no interest in dueling and walks out. One of them, revealed as Weasel, doesn't like how Shark is walking out on them but another adds that they took Shark in because he wins. Outside, Yuma wants to duel Bronk but Bronk has no interest and Astral explains that Yuma is sloppy when it comes to strategies and thus could lose to a tree. Furthermore, Astral figures that Shark has analyzed Yuma's strategies but Yuma makes it clear he hasn't done the same for Shark's strategies. Back in their hideout, the gang see news of a rare deck on display and vow to make it their own. Weasel is having second thoughts but two others remind them of the Numbers they have. Shark is listening in when a panel gives way and the gang see Shark wants in. They accept so long as he doesn't get in the way. At midnight, the group set out but Weasel is hesitant (though a name like that you'd think he'd be going for it) and Shark makes him feel worse. Later, Yuma is researching but Tori shows him where the right browser is and they learn of Shark's real name as Reginald Kastle and the disqualification he had in the finals. They leave and while Tori believes the article, Yuma does not and they run into Weasel, whom explains the situation with Shark and the others. Yuma heads off to help Shark in spite of the danger. Shark and two of his goons arrive but Yuma is in the way and wagers Number 39 for their duel. However, Shark moves to Yuma's side with a little convincing. Duel preparations get underway before one of them draws and sets a monster and 2 cards for his turn. Yuma draws and summons Zubaba Knight (1600) in Attack Mode. Next he goes to Attack but is reminded of Tag-Team Duel rules and ends his turn. Chills draws and summons Pompadour Blizzerdon (1400) in Attack Mode, then sets 2 cards to end his turn. Shark draws and summons Big Jaws (1800) in Attack Mode. Then, he Special Summons Shark Stickers (200) in Attack Mode since he played a Fish-Type monster. Next he uses his monsters as Xyz Material for Submersible Carrier Aero Shark (1900) in Attack Mode. After that, he uses Aero Shark's effect to detach an Xyz Material from it to deal Scorch 400 damage per card in his own hand, leaving Scorch down by 1600 to 2400. (" ") It's what Scorch and Chills wanted as Chills activates Blizzard Egg Level 5 to Special Summon 1 Level 5 monster or take 500 damage since they took effect damage from an Effect Monster's effect. Scorch chooses to Special Summon Baggy Pants Lavasaurus (2100) in Attack Mode. Furthermore, Scorch activates Flame Egg Level 5 to let Chills play Icebergdon (though not stated) (2100) in Defense Mode. Scorch then activates Glare Level 5 to deal Shark 500 damage per Level 5 monster they have, leaving him down to 3000. Shark sets 2 cards to end his turn but Yuma is feeling down until Shark reminds him to stay strong. Scorch draws and flip summons Flamesaurus (1800) to Attack Mode. Due to its Flip Effect, FS gains 1 Level to Level 5. Tori and Bronk arrive in time to see Scorch uses his monsters as Xyz Material for Number 61: Volcasaurus (2500) in Attack Mode. Worse still, Scorch uses Volcasaurus' effect twice to destroy both Yuma and Shark's monsters, leaving Yuma down to 2400 LPs and Shark down to 1100 LPs. Yuma has seen better punches from his grandma but he and Shark are about to be squashed! |
