Episode 4: In the End (2) | |
At the duel, Mr. Kay is confident Yuma will lose and sets 1 card to end his
turn, giving Yuma control of his Gogogo Golem since Number 34's effect has
ended. Yuma draws and once again gets into an argument with Astral while Tori
and Caswell sort out Yuma's behavior. As usual, Yuma goes against Astral's wish
and summons Achacha Archer (1200) in Attack Mode.
Due to AA's effect, Mr. Kay takes 500 damage, bringing him down to 3500 but had
Yuma done what Astral asked, he'd have 2 Level 4 monsters and could then summon
Utopia but that isn't part of Yuma's plan. However, Mr. Kay activates
Damage Vaccine Ω MAX
to regain the LPs he just lost, restoring his LPs to 4000. With just over 17
minutes left, Yuma and Caswell are running out of time! While Kari continues pursuing the virus, Yuma ends his turn so Mr. Kay draws and uses Terror-Byte's effect to detach an Xyz Material and gain control of Gogogo Golem once more. Astral points out that had Yuma summoned Utopia, Terror-Byte couldn't take Utopia because it has a Rank not a Level. Mr. Kay draws and activates Infected Mail and Cracking, requiring another dueling lesson for Tori. Since Infected Mail lets a Level or lower monster attack directly, then destroys it, Mr. Kay attacks directly with his stolen GG to leave Yuma on the ground and down to 1400 LPs. (The real IF sends the monster to the Graveyard.) Worse still, GG is then destroyed and Yuma takes 800 damage by Cracking's effect, bringing him down to 600 LPs. Yuma notices that Astral is more see-through than normal and learns that Astral loses his energy as the two of them lose LPs. Caswell tries to encourage Yuma with talk of a phoenix but talking of a dragon inside is what actually gets Yuma pumped. Astral adds that all the faults Yuma has makes him incredible but Yuma doesn't buy it. However, the room is moving upwards and Kara has found the source of the virus and enters to fight it. Once at the top, Mr. Kay sets 1 card to end his turn. What Yuma said earlier gives Astral an idea and Yuma draws before playing Goblindbergh (1400) in Attack Mode. Due to Goblindbergh's effect, Yuma Special Summons Ganbara Knight (0000) in Attack Mode. Since both monsters are Level 4, Yuma uses them as Xyz Material for Number 39: Utopia (2500) in Attack Mode. Playing reverse psychology, Astral advises not to set a Trap Card but Yuma does anyway. Meanwhile, Kara is battling the virus and nearly has it beaten. Back at the duel, Mr. Kay uses Number 34's effect once more to take AA. Next he uses IM's effect to attack directly with it but Yuma uses Utopia's effect to detach an Xyz Material from it and negate the attack, stopping the combo. However, Yuma has allowed Mr. Kay to activate Bug Switch to put Number 34 in Attack Mode and Special Summon Super Crashbug (3000) in Defense Mode since he has Crashbugs X, Y and Z in his Grave. (The real card is summoned this way without the Trap Card.) Due to SC's effect, all monsters swap their ATK and DEF, putting Terror-Byte at 2900 ATK, Utopia at 2000 ATK and AA at 600 ATK. Mr. Kay attacks but Yuma uses Utopia's effect once more to negate the attack so Mr. Kay sets 1 card to end his turn. There's just over 5 minutes left and Yuma ignores Astral's idea to summon Zubaba Knight (1600) in Attack Mode, then use it and AA as Xyz Material for Number 17: Leviathan Dragon (2000) in Attack Mode. Due to SC's effect, Number 17's ATK becomes its DEF, making its ATK 0. Yuma realizes what Astral was doing in connection with what he himself said earlier and activates Thunder Short to deal Mr. Kay 500 damage per monster on his field, bringing his score down to 3000. (The real card deals 400 damage per monster on the opponent's field.) Once again, Mr. Kay uses DVΩM to restore his LPs. Nevertheless, Yuma activates Overconfidence (Asleep at the Switch in the CG) to destroy SC since Mr. Kay regained LPs. As a result, all monsters' ATK and DEF return to normal, making Number 17's ATK 2000 and Number 34's ATK 0. His attacks destroys Number 34 and win the duel, giving them Number 34 as a result. Astral realizes he came from Astral World but the virus has no cancellation code and Kari takes out the virus but the clock reaches 0. Mr. Kay had no intention of creating havoc and reveals a giant Crashbug in the sky. Caswell brings up the Crashbug card to read the description and folks across town view the spectacle but it seems Kara wasn't meant to have a big story this week. As Crashbug lights up the sky with fireworks, Astral recalls his next observation. |
