Episode 167: Flight of Fear (2) | |
Inside the plain's cockpit, Mokuba continues trying to get through and Roland answers but when he cannot think of anything, he has another man take over. At the duel, Alister plays Junk Dealer to bring back his Science Soldier and Cyber Soldier of Darkworld, each with half their ATK but getting 500 more ATK to put them at 900 and 1200 respectively. Next he plays Kinetic Soldier (1850) in Attack Mode. Oops! At 2:44 into the US episode, Science Soldier is still an Effect Monster! Back in the cockpit, Mokuba is slowly easing the plane up to clear the mountain and Alister activates Soldier Revolt to send all cards Kaiba has on the field and in his hand to the Graveyard since there's Science Solder, Cyber Soldier of Darkworld and Kinetic Soldier on Alister's field. Furthermore, Alister uses Sky Union to tribute his monsters for Air Fortress Ziggurat (3000) in Attack Mode. While Kaiba stars in fear of Alister's new monster, Mokuba manages to just graze the tip of the mountain as he climbs. As a last bit of instruction, Mokuba reactivates Autopilot. He arrives to the duel and sees Kaiba in trouble. Kaiba recognizes the monster and Alister explains that it's based off of his brother's Dyna Dude action figure. As a bonus, it Special Summons a Robot Token to protect itself. Kaiba draws, having no intention of backing down and uses Pot of Greed, then sets 1 card to end his turn. Alister draws and attacks Kaiba directly but Kaiba activates Magical Trick Mirror to activate Alister's Junk Dealer and Special Summon Judge Man (1100) in Attack Mode (not Defense Mode as he says from 7:36 to 7:43 into the US episode) but with AFZ stronger, JM is destroyed, leaving Kaiba down to just 100 LPs. To end his turn, Alister's AFZ gets another Robot Token. With that, Kaiba's rescue team has arrived early but Alister's rage breaks all the plane's windows after he recognizes Gozaburo Kaiba's helicopters and concludes he was right all along. Kaiba isn't hearing any of this and draws, using Soul Exchange to tribute Alister's Robot Tokens for Blue-Eyes White Dragon (3000) in Attack Mode. (The real SE only lets the player tribute 1 monster on their opponent's field.) Since its ATK equals AFZ, Kaiba ends his turn so Alister sets 1 card and ends his turn. Kaiba draws and destroys the Robot Token with his BEWD's attack. Alister draws and activates Toy Robot Box to discard 1 card (not three as he says from 11:43 to 11:49 into the US episode) and bring out 3 more Robot Tokens. Next he tributes one of the Robot Tokens for Spell Canceller (2300) in Attack Mode, preventing Kaiba from using any of his Spell Cards and his ticket to victory and soon everyone like Kaiba will be erased but Kaiba protests that Alister's group wants to erase people with a different opinion. (The real SC's effect applies to both players.) Alister remains in denial so Kaiba asks if Mikey was still around, would Alister still wipe out mankind? This throws Alister over the edge with anger and he attacks but Kaiba activates Tyrant Wing to give his BEWD 400 ATK to 3400, destroying AFZ, causing it to fall through the clouds and leave Alister down to 1000 Life Points. As one of the plane's engines quits, Mokuba asks about what Mikey would say if he saw Alister acting this way. Kaiba is given one last turn to defeat Alister and draws, playing his Fang of Critias and merging it with both his Tyrant Wing and his Blue-Eyes for Tyrant Burst Dragon (3200) in Attack Mode. Furthermore, Kaiba fuses Blue-Eyes with TBD for Blue-Eyes Tyrant Dragon in Attack Mode. (This isn't true. He's actually still has TBD, not a new monster as he states.) Due to (likely) its effect, it can attack all monsters on Alister's field at once, winning Kaiba the duel. The Seal of Orichalcos takes Alister's soul and Kaiba races to save Mokuba. The Legendary Dragons help out and the plane crash lands on the grass just short of a lake. At last, most of the gang is reunited as they have all arrived to see the plane's miraculous landing. It's not all good news as Kaiba emerges to learn that Dartz has taken over Kaiba Corp. |
