Episode 118: Noah's Final Threat (2) | |||
At the duel, Noah's attack with Yamata Dragon on Kuriboh connects and destroys Kuriboh but to Noah's surprise, Yami is still in the duel as he activated Nutrient Z, giving himself 4000 LPs to 4100 before the battle damager of 2000 or more could affect him, leaving him with a new score of 1800 after damage calculation. Noah's turn isn't done as Noah gains 3300 LPs thanks to his Deck Master's ability, then a further 2300 due to his activated Sebek's Blessing, putting his score up to 10,500. Furthermore, Yamata Dragon returns to Noah's hand, giving him 500 more LPs to 11,000 by Spring of Rebirth's effect. Yami draws and summons Alpha The Magnet Warrior (1400) in Attack Mode and attacks directly but Noah barely feels a thing as his score drops to 9600. Keeping his word, Noah turns Robot Monkey Tristan to stone before Joey convinces him to turn Serenity to stone come the end of Yami's next turn. Noah draws and summons Inaba White Rabbit (700) in Attack Mode. IWR can attack directly and does so, leaving Yami down to 1100 LPs. Next, it returns to Noah's hand, raising Noah's LPs to 10,300 due to his Deck Master and Spring of Rebirth's effect (since Sebek's Blessing isn't permanent). Yami draws and sets 1 card, then tributes Alpha for Dark Magician Girl (2000) in Attack Mode, whom gains 300 ATK since Dark Magician is in Yami's Grave, raising her ATK by 300 to 2300. His direct attack leaves Noah down to 8500 LPs but Noah warns he'll have to do better to save Serenity. However, there's nothing more Yami can do and he ends his turn, prompting Noah to turn Serenity to stone. Noah brings out Inaba White Rabbit again in Attack Mode but Yami is glad to see him and activates Dark Renewal, sending IWR and his own Big Shield Gardna to the Grave to revive Dark Magician (2500) in Attack Mode, causing DMG to lose her ATK bonus and return her ATK to normal. Nevertheless, Noah sets 1 card to end his turn. Yami draws and uses Dark Magic Ritual (Black Magic Ritual in the CG), letting him tribute his in-hand Valkyrion for Magician of Black Chaos (2800) in Attack Mode. His attacks activate Noah's hidden Chaos Barrier Field card, negating the attacks and forcing Yami's strongest and weakest monster to battle each other, putting DMG on Noah's field and destroying it, leaving Yami's score down to 300 and raising his own score to 9300. (In the CG, Noah would've lost the LPs because of normal game rules.) Noah applauds Yami's performance and agrees to free Yami's friends if Yami forfeits the duel but will keep Kaiba and Mokuba in stone. Joey protests otherwise, urging Yami on, despite Yami's words. Noah intervenes by turning Joey to stone. Noah draws and sets 1 monster and 2 cards face down, of which one he decides to make obvious. Yami draws and Noah activates his aforementioned Groundbreaking Trap Card to return his Inaba White Rabbit to his hand. Yami uses his MoBC's attack to take out Noah's hidden Otohime but Noah activates her effect to put DM in Defense Mode, then activates Vessel of Illusion to bring back Otohime (as a Token since it's been revealed earlier in the Japanese version of the duel that Spirit Monsters can't be Special Summoned). Noah decides to spare Tea` for one turn so she can see Yami's defeat and uses Change of Heart to gain control of Yami's DM (why not take MoBC, whom has more ATK?), then tributes it and Otohime for Hino-Kagu-Tsuchi (2800) in Attack Mode. Next he give it a temporary 200 ATK boost with Flaming Fist, putting its ATK up to 3000. His attack takes out MoBC and leaves Yami down to 100 LPs while his own score rises by 700 (500 from most likely FF's effect and the other 200 from his Deck Master's ability) to 10,000. Next he uses Spiritual Energy Settle Machine, letting him keep his Spirit Monster out by discarding 1 card. (The real card keeps all Spirit monsters in play if you discard 1 card during each of your End Phases.) Tea`'s last words result in her being turned to stone and Yami is feeling weak but Yugi reminds him that he's never alone. Yami gathers the strength to stand and uses Card of Sanctity, forcing both of them to draw cards until they both have six cards. Each of Yami's friends helps out, contributing 1 card each. Next Yami uses Monster Reborn to revive Kaiba's Blue-Eyes White Dragon (3000) in Attack Mode. Then he uses Polymerization to bring out Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon (4500) in Attack Mode. After that, he uses Quick Attack, letting his Fusion Monster attack the turn it's Fusion Summoned, taking out HKT and leaving Noah's score down to 8300. However, Yami isn't done yet and uses De-Fusion to swap BEUD for 3 Blue-Eyes White Dragons, each with 3000 ATK, enough to win the duel. Yami attacks with his monsters, declaring that Noah's madness is over. |
