Episode 100: Isolated in Cyber Space (2)

At the duel, it didn't surprise Gansley that Yami wouldn't remember the Deck Master rules but Yami is a quick learner and attacks directly with OCG, leaving Gansley's score down to 2600. It's what Gansley hoped for as he summons Ruclamba the Spirit King (1000) in Attack Mode, explaining that it can be brought out during Yami's turn whenever he himself takes 1000 or more damage. Yami finds Ganseley's work and dueling methods sad but Noah is glad he hired Gansley to do his own dirty work and checks on the others. Kaiba and Mokuba have encountered a vision of their past that includes their first day at the orphanage while Noah explains that his software can interact with a person's mind.

Continuing their look into the past, Kaiba and Mokuba see their younger selves playing another chess match when young Kaiba overhears Gozaburo Kaiba's win in chess and goes to meet their stepfather for the first time. GK and YK (Young Kaiba for short) agree to a chess match where GK adopts him and his brother if defeated. Since that's what happens, Mokuba frowns as YK no longer smiled and goes to open a door but there's nothing but a long drop from the cliff and Kaiba manages to grab him.

Back at the duel, Gansley plays Youi (500) in Attack Mode, making Yami skip his Draw Phase next turn. Next he uses Premature Burial (which has the usual censorship as shown at 12:50 into the episode), paying 800 Life Points to revive Ipiria in Attack Mode, urging Yami to attack and asks why Yami is taking so long. Yami explains that good moves take time (true statement, Gansley because you obviously haven't seen what happens when one cuts corners). Meanwhile, Duke and Tristan finally break through, despite what Noah had said and find Serenity being chased by a Mad Sword Beast. Tristan and Duke jump down with Tristan handling MSB and Duke leading Serenity away.
However, with Tristan unable to stop the MSB, the two end up in the nearby moat and while he approves of his dive, he disapproves of Duke's interaction with Serenity. Gansley explains how his business got started (and it's truly sad because his business started dishonorably so he has no business trying to teach about good business strategies). Since he cannot draw an extra card due to Youi's effect, Yami decides to attack with OCG and takes the attack back due to Gansley's Deck Master ability.

While Tea` is dropped off in (what is probably) the Hitotsu-Me Giants' den, Yami's score drops to 500 and he sees Gansley has two monsters, Wall of Illusion and another Ruclamba, both in Attack Mode, by Ruclamba's second effect. Yami can't attack since Gansley has enough monsters to activate his Deck Master's ability but he trusts his deck. Soon, Yami's mind will be scattered throughout cyber space!
