Episode 10: Give Up the Ghost

Still at the duel, Ghost Kaiba's attack connects on an empty hat as Yu-Gi-Oh warns that if the guess is wrong again, it'll be costly. Yu-G-Oh sets 1 card underneath one of the hats to end his turn. GK attacks the middle hat, which houses Yu-Gi-Oh's Spellbinding Circle Trap Card, lowering BEWD's ATK by 700 to 2300. (The real card doesn't lower ATK, although Shadow Spell has this exact effect.) A BEWD is normally unstoppable (since when?) but when drained of ATK, it is no match for Yu-Gi-Oh's Dark Magician, which takes out the weakened BEWD and leaves GK's score down to 500. However, GK plays another BEWD (3000) in Attack Mode and takes out DM to leave Yu-Gi-Oh's score even with his own.

Kaiba's computer has successfully downloaded Yugi Muto's data and brings up the duel on screen. (Oops! At 6:09 into the episode, we can see Feral Imp in Attack Position on Yu-Gi-Oh's field but he doesn't have any monsters in play as confirmed by the computer from 6:39 to 6:43 into the episode!) While the computer uploads a virus to the holographic computer, the duel resumes with Yu-Gi-Oh playing Feral Imp (1300) in Attack Mode. Kaiba wished Yu-Gi-Oh would've waited a few more seconds but they're already halfway there yet the computer cannot go any faster. GK orders an attack but because of the virus, its ATK is dropping and the holographic imaging is malfunctioning. Kaiba goes to move to dragon number 3 but they get hacked by Pegasus. When the screen returns to normal, BEWD's ATK has been stopped at 2000 and the monster attacks but because of Kaiba's calling out, the attack stops and the monster is destroyed without the virus doing anything.

Pegasus' goons enter to find Kaiba no longer there and we learn from Pegasus that the goon he's talking too is named Croquet, whom orders the goons out there to search the grounds. Meanwhile, GK undergoes a transformation into a hideous being (that I'll call Kaiba Clown or KC for short). Yu-Gi-Oh doesn't know what to call this being and while he figures that out, KC plays Grappler (1200) in Defense Mode. Yu-Gi-Oh plays Celtic Guardian (1400) in Attack Mode and takes out Grappler after setting 1 card face down. KC plays Mystic Horseman (1550) in Defense Mode and sets 1 card to end his turn. Yu-Gi-Oh sets 1 card, then summons Mystical Elf (800) in Attack Mode and equips her with Book of Secret Arts, to give her 300 ATK and DEF to 1100 and 2300 respectively.

As luck would have it, KC draws and plays the final BEWD in Attack Mode and attacks but Yu-Gi-Oh activates Mirror Force to reflect the attack back on BEWD yet KC counters (literally) with Negate Attack, which when shown at 17:32 into the episode, is a Spell Card in the Japanese version. (The real Negate Attack can only be used to counter attacks made by your opponent. He had a Spell Card waiting just in case. (Oops! It is a Spell Card in the Japanese version but Yu-Gi-Oh should've said Trap Card for the US version at 17:37 to 17:38 into the episode as we clearly saw it was a Trap Card!).

Yu-Gi-Oh activates Reborn the Monster (Monster Reborn in the CG), letting him bring back a monster from either Graveyard, not Deck as stated by KC from 17:52 to 17:59 into the episode and he chooses BEWD. Due to Mystical Elf's continuous chant, she can transfer her ATK to another monster (The real card can't.) and moves it to BEWD, raising its ATK to 4100. Yu-Gi-Oh's attack with the powered up BEWD wins the duel. As an additional measure, KC is sent back to the Shadow Realm, never to return again and adds a warning message to Pegasus, whom counters with a message of his own. However, they soon discover Mokuba has once again been taken.
