Episode 8: Everything's Relative

At one of the castle's towers, a boy sneaks out of his room but his rope comes up short, leaving him to take a hard fall when the rope suddenly comes apart. One of Pegasus' goons arrives with the kid's meal but finds he's not there and notifies Pegasus, whom is in hysterics over a comic book he's reading. Pegasus requests info on the tournament from his computer and learns that in the last 6 hours, 12 participants are eliminated. He has plans for Yugi and hopes they're found as entertaining as he himself does. Meanwhile, Yugi and his friends hear a yell for help and find one of Pegasus's goons dragging him away, despite his explanation. Tristan throws the goon to the ground but he gets struck back and the kid gets thrown into a boat. We learn the goon's name is Kemo as he talks briefly with the one that found out about the other kid's escape from the tower. They vow to get the star chips back but within the 30 min time limit.

They arrive and it isn't long before the kid pops out from behind a bush and Yugi figures out that the kid wants to duel. They wager 5 star chips and Yugi, now Yu-Gi-Oh, has a hunch he knows why the kid is doing this. From the kid's thoughts, we can figure out it's Mokuba behind the mask as he plays Man Eating Plant (800) in Attack Mode and doesn't at all fear Yu-Gi-Oh's Winged Dragon, Guardian of the Fortress (1400) in Attack Mode, claiming the monster will be eaten by his (in its dreams maybe). However, Yu-Gi-Oh's monster takes out MEP to leave Mokuba down to 1400. How can Mokuba put his heart into a deck that doesn't belong to him? Mokuba's response is all that Yu-Gi-Oh needs to figure out that he's dueling Mokuba, whom recalls a secret board meeting Pegasus had with 5 men before his capture and refuses to listen to Yu-Gi-Oh, attacking with Krokodilus (1100) in Attack Mode, destroying itself and leaving Mokuba down to 1100 LPs. If Mokuba can't win, he'll have Yu-Gi-Oh disqualified and takes 2 star chips from Yu-Gi-Oh's side of the arena.

Yu-Gi-Oh protests that this won't save Kaiba Corp and agrees to help Mokuba's company by defeating Pegasus but the star chips must be returned. Elsewhere, Kaiba can't figure out how he won and figures he'll uses his new duel disks to challenge Yugi no matter where he is. His concentration is broken when two of Pegasus' goons enter, requesting Kaiba come with them but he darts out the window after kicking his chair at them. Figuring there's no way he could've survived a fall like it, they move on to taking the deck, which is right in front of them. Meanwhile, despite getting there early, the boat has already left and Kemo knocks the star chips out of Mokuba's hand and into the water, saying they should be more careful so accidents like it wouldn't happen (except we all know that was NO accident). Yu-Gi-Oh challenges Kemo to a duel and he agrees, provided they meet at Arena 146 in four hours. When they arrive, Kemo isn't the one dueling, Kaiba is and Yu-Gi-Oh doesn't stand a chance!
