Episode 137: Clash of the Emperors
At the duel, Vector recalls his memories right down to when he was first born and everything thereafter from a battle that left his father ill to Vector claiming the throne and getting peace and harmony despite his father's wishes to overthrow their next town. Vector's father doesnt' feel Vector is worthy of having the sword and takes it away and proceeds to banish him but cannot continue and collapses for good. Don Thousand appears to corrupt Vector's memories and hand him King Overfiend. Vector struggles to accept it as do the others that witnessed it so Vector lashes out at Don Thousand and isn't conforted by Don Thousand's lies. Yuma even tries to further convince him but what's done is done and Vector cannot change who he now is and Vector activates Xyz Discharge to let Nash discard 1 card and gain control of all he opponent's monsters, leaving Nash confused. Furthermore, Vector wants this so that Don Thousand will be defeated and manages to hold Don Thousand back while the decision is made.
Eventually, Nash agrees and discards Dream Shark from his hand to gain control of Vector's monsters. Then, Nash attacks directly but Vector reverts to being evil and activates Trick Buster to negate the attack and destroy Nash's monsters since his own field is empty. Vector tricked them by playing nice and manages to send Don Thousand away despite Don Thousand's claims. Due to TB's other effect, Nash takes 300 damage for each destroyed monster but Nash is ready and Special Summons Dream Shark (2600) in Defense Mode from his Graveyard to reduce the damage to 0. Nash never once believed the act and sets 2 cards to end his turn. Vector admist Nash is very smart and draws before playing Rank-Up-Magic Admiration of the Thousands to revive Silent Honor DARK (2800), Umbral Horror Masquerade (3000), Archfiend Seraph (2900) and Ragnafinity (2800) in Attack Mode with Levels equal to their Ranks but one higher, then use them as Xyz Material for Chaos Number 5: Chaos Chimera Dragon (Number C5: Chaos Chimera Dragon in the CG (0000) in Attack Mode. (The real Admiration of the Thousands doesn't convert the Xyz Monsters' Ranks to Levels or modify them. Chimera Dragon's ATK goes up by 1000 per Xyz Material on it, raising its ATK to 4000.
Furthermore, he can detach an Xyz Material from it to banish a random card from Nash's Deck and have it attack again. Vector decides to do just that, lowering its ATK to 3000. (The real card doesn't do anything else besides attack a second time.) However, Dream Shark survives as Nash uses its effect to lower its DEF by 1000 to 1600 and prevent its destruction. Regardless, Vector uses Chimera Dragon's effect again, lowering its ATK to 2000 and attacking once more, taking out Dream Shark. With Nash defenseless, Vector uses the effect once more, lowering its ATK by 1000, then halving its ATK to 500 since it's attacking directly. (The real card doesn't lose ATK for attacking directly.) Once again, Nash is prepared and activates Depth Gardna to make the damage 0, then Special Summon itself as a Level 5 monster whose ATK equals the damage Nash would've taken, making its ATK 500.
Vector wants Nash to lose already but uses Chimera Dragon's other effect to return all cards it banished to Nash's Deck and doesn't consider them useful but Nash thinks otherwise. However, when Nash draws, he learns that every card returned to the top of his Deck via Chimera Dragon's effect cannot be used, meaning even the next 2 cards of his Deck are useless. Worse still, Vector pays half his LPs to allow him to reattach the Xyz Materials Chimera Dragon lost, bringing him down to 500 LPs. (The real card only lets you choose 2 cards in the Graveyard and only one of those gets attached as Xyz Material while the other goes on top of the owner's Deck.) As a result, Chimera Dragon has 4000 ATK once more. In a twist, Nash thanks Vector for allowing him to stay in the duel and activates Infinity Tooth to send a card of his Deck to the Graveyard for each Xyz Material attached to Chimera Dragon, then draw 1 card.
As a result, Nash has gotten rid of the cards he couldn't use that were next and gotten a new card. Next he plays Depth Biter (1800) in Attack Mode without Tributing (as Vector controls an Xyz Monster but they don't tell you that). With that, Nash uses his monsters as Xyz Material for Number 73: Abyss Splash (2400) in Attack Mode. Next he uses Abyss Splash's effect to double its ATK when it battles, then attacks but Vector responds with Overlay Burglary to take an Xyz Material from Abyss Splash and add it to Chimera Dragon, raising Chimera Dragon's ATK to 5000. Nash has the final word and activates Rank-Up-Magic Quick Chaos to use Number 73 as Xyz Material for Chaos Number 73: Abyss Supra Splash (3000) in Attack Mode. Since it can't defeat Chimera Dragon on its own, Nash activates Supra Splash's effect to detach an Xyz Material from itself, drain Chimera Dragon's ATK to 0 and gain that ATK, raising its ATK to 8000. (The real card doesn't lower the ATK of the other monster.)
His attack takes out Chimera Dragon to win the duel but it's unclear to Vector how he could lose and ends up motionless on the ground.
