Episode 123: Assimilation (2)
At the duel, Heartland is shocked to see Yuma and Astral, claiming they should still be trapped in the alternate dimension but Yuma's friends rejoice at seeing the duo again but Astral notes Kite's lack of moment, cutting the celebration short. Yuma runs to Kite's aid and manages to get Kite to open his eyes long enough to accept the apology before becoming motionless again. Knowng that Heartland is the cause, he asks Quinton to look after Kite while he takes on Heartland. Heartland isn't phased and undergoes an insect-like transformation before Yuma gets his half of duel preparations underway, agreeing to take Kite's place in the duel. When that finishes, they get a dose of the mess that unfolded while they're away but are confident it won't be enough to beat them. Yuma reminds Heartland of Kite's Prevent and Draw Trap Card, allowing him to draw 1 card. Heartland could care less and since it's still his turn, he attacks Yuma directly.
However, the card Yuma drew was Rainbow Kuriboh, which he Special Summons (100) in Defense Mode to negate the attack and prevent further attacks from Number 1 by equipping itself to that monster. Confident Yuma won't be able to keep it up, Heartland sets 1 card to end his turn. Meanwhile, Vector is still in shock to see the last two Barians before him, leaving Dumon to quesiton whether Vector is happy to see them. A bigger surprise to Vector comes when Dumon reveals that the last two Barians are also Shark and Rio Kastle, whom luckily don't remember all that was done to them. Nash speaks up to assure that they'll be victorious with their combined powers but orders anyone with doubts to challenge him right away. Now they have a different matter regarding the fusion of Barian World with Astral World. Vector has no idea but figures it's Heartland's doing and they should be congratulated.
Regardless, Nash  warns not to underestimate Yuma and Astral, assuming they've either returned already or will return soon. While Nash lends his power to Vector and the others, Yuma draws and plays Gagaga Caesar (1800) in Attack Mode. Next, since he controls a Gagaga monster, he Special Summons Gagaga Clerk (400) in Attack Mode. Witht that done, the duo use Gagaga Caesar's effect to remove from play Paladin of Photon Dragon in the Graveyard to make the two monsters' Levels become the Level of that removed from play monster's. Since PoPD's Level was 4, so are the two Gagaga monsters. Now Yuma uses his monsters as Xyz Material for Number 39: Utopia (2500) in Attack Mode. His attack is obvious to Heartland but not to Cathy so Heartland activates Overlay Hunt to negate Utopia's effects and take the two Xyz Materials from it and attach them to Infection Buzz King.
However, it was only one of Yuma and Astrals' plans to stop Utopia's attack and they activate Stop Hammer to negate the attack and lower Utopia's ATK by 500 to 2000. Now that Utopia's attack has been stopped, Yuma activates Double or Nothing! to double Utopia's ATK to 4000 and let it attack again. His attack takes out Number 1 to leave Heartland on the ground and down to 3000 LPs. Heartland isn't happy and activates Infection Medium to Special Summon 5 Tokens (Infection Bug Tokens to be exact but they don't tell you that, nor do they mention that this card is activated since Heartland lost a Fiend-Type Xyz Monster) (300 x5) in Attack Mode. Yuma sets 1 card to end his turn, knowing full well that there may be more to the Tokens than meets the eye.
Heartland draws and attacks with the first Infection Bug Token, destroying it but not only does Heartland not take any damage but Utopia is destroyed and Yuma takes 300 damage, bringing him down to 1450. Heartland's 2nd attack prompts Yuma to Special Summon Rainbow Kuriboh from the Graveyard since he's being attacke directly. As a result, it's taken out but Heartland's other direct attacks leave Yuma and Astral down to 550 LPs. However, Heartland isn't do ne and activates Infection Extension to Special Summon another Infection Bug Token (since he didn't Normal Summon this turn, though they don't tell you that) and prevent Yuma from playing monsters in Defense Mode. Ironically, Yuma is set up for his next move and activates Returning Light to Special Summon 1 LIGHT monster from his Graveyard and lower its ATK by 1000 since Heartland Special Summoned the Token.
As a result, Yuma revives Kite's Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon (3000) in Attack Mode just as Orbital 7 and Quinton realize, whose ATK drops to 2000 by RL's effect. Heartland is unphased protesting that no monster will beat him. However, Yuma and Astral can still win if they get the right card. Heartland is aware of what's coming and decides to draw power from Barian World to weaken them. Though the jolt is painful, the duo still merge ttogether to the surprise of everyone watching. Furthermore, the new power destroys the Barian Field and allows Yuma to get the card he needs to draw with Shining Draw. It's what they want and they play ZS - Vanish Sage (500) in Attack Mode. His attack with GEPD removes from play both monsters. However, Yuma activate Vanish Sage's effect to remove itself from play and return GEPD to the field, then destroy any weaker monsters Heartland has.
As a result, Heartland loses all his monsters. (The real card only removes from play 1 monster with 3000 or less ATK.) Yuma attacks Heartland directly to win the duel and return Heartland to normal. Heartland isn't ready to quit and wants to duel again but Don Thousand interrupts and vaoprizes the 4 Number Cards that Heartland had and takes him away. Yuma's friends rush over to compilment and Kite comes to long enough to learn whom won the duel. However, the excitement is cut short when Yuma learns what happend to Flip. With the chaos unfolding, Yuma has only one thing left to do, take down the Barians.
