Episode 86: Counter Offensive (2)
At the duel, Yuma is ready for more and Rio realizes how alike Yuma and Alito are before Alito draws and plays Battlin' Boxer Switchitter (1500) in Attack Mode. Next, he uses Battlin' Boxing Spirits to draw 1 card and if it's a Battlin' Boxer monster, he can send that monster to the Graveyard, then Special Summon a different Battlin' Boxer monster from his Graveyard. (The real card Special Summons the new Battlin' Boxer monster in Defense Mode.) Since he gets a Battlin' Boxer monster, Alito sends that monster to the Graveyard and Special Summons Battlin' Boxer Headgeared (1000) in Attack Mode from his Graveyard. In addition, Switchhitter counts as 2 Xyz Materials for an Xyz Summon so Alito uses it hand Switchhitter as Xyz Material for Number 105: Battlin' Boxer Star Cestus (2500) in Attack Mode. (The real BBH doesn't count as 2 Xyz Materials for an Xyz Summon.) His attack prompts Yuma to play it safe and detach an Xyz Material from Utopia to negate the attack.
Alito isn't worried though and uses Number 105's effect to detach an Xyz Material, prevent its own destruction in battle and make Yuma take the Battle Damage since Number 105 is weaker than Utopia. As a result, Yuma is down to 500 LPs and Alito sets 1 card to end his turn. Despite the danger, Yuma remains excited and he knows Alito does too. Yuma draws before he and Astral merge together and play Xyz Treasure to draw 2 cards since both players control an Xyz Monster. Next, he uses Utopia as Xyz Material for Chaos Number 39: Utopia Ray (Number C39: Utopia Ray in the CG) (2500) in Attack Mode. Although weaker than Utopia was, now that the monsters are evenly matched, Number 105 cannot use its effect. Yuma's attack destroys both monsters before Yuma activates Xyz Stand to revive Utopia Ray in Attack Mode without its effects.
However, Alito also used Xyz Stand and revives Number 105. Since the monster Special Summoned by Xyz Stand cannot attack, Yuma sets 2 cards to end his turn. Alito and Yuma agree it's the best duel ever and after revealing his Barian form, Alito draws and plays his Xyz Treasure to draw 2 cards. Next he uses Rank-Up-Magic Barian's Force to use Number 105 as Xyz Material for Chaos Number 105: Battlin' Boxer Comet Cestus (Number C105: Battlin' Boxer Comet Cestus in the CG) (2800) in Attack Mode. Then, he uses Comet Cestus' effect to detach an Xyz Material from itself, destroy Utopia Ray and deal Yuma damage equal to Utopia Ray's ATK. (The real card deals only half the ATK of the destroyed monster.) However, Yuma is ready and activates Overtraining to prevent Utopia Ray's destruction this turn. Nevertheless, Alito decides to attack with Comet Cestus anyway, leaving Yuma and Astral down to 200 LPs before setting 1 card to end his turn.
Yuma and Astral draw before playing Zexal Weapon - Eagle Claw (ZW - Eagle Claw in the CG) (2000) in Attack Mode without Tribute since Alito has 2000 or more LPs than they do. Next, they equip Eagle Claw to Utopia Ray, giving it 2000 ATK to 4500. Their attack forces Alito to activate Headgeard's effect from the Graveyard to remove itself from play and use Yuma's Battle Rush Trap Card to prevent Comet Cestus' destruction in battle and make Yuma take the Battle Damage. Yuma counters this with Eagle Claw's effect but Alito expected this and activates Corkscrew Counter to negate Eagle Claw's effect and deal Yuma 500 damage. Nevertheless, Yuma activates Last Chance to use Alito's Counter Clash and negate Corkscrew Counter's effect, double Alito's battle damage, and destroy Corkscrew Counter since it was activated during battle.
As a result, Yuma continues his attack, which takes out Comet Cestus to win the duel and return Altio to normal. Yuma runs to Alito's aid but Alito is fine. They won't be dueling again and Astral cannot seem to take Alito's Number cards before Altio departs. Suddenly, Astral is in intense pain and isn't responding to Yuma at all. Alito finds himself not in Barian World and gets attacked, leaving Girag to run to his aid. Ray had attacked Alito but Alito has to try and hang on!
