Episode 90: Pro-Dueling

At DA, another duelist is defeated when his rather annoying opponent Mathmatica states he wants to duel. 3 students run away discussing who Mathmatica is. At Sheppard's office, Sheppard tells Crowler and Bonaparte that not everyone is winning their duels. How does Crowler think they should handle this? Crowler says it's simple: but is cut-off by Bonaparte who says to send the pro duelists to leave on a boat. Sheppard doesn't like this idea and tells both of them to think of something else or they'll have to find a new job! In the halls, Crowler and Bonaparte discuss their plan, which begins to fall through until Crowler decides to try and call a few friends to help out. Back in Sheppard's office, Sheppard can't figure Sartorius out. A woman enters, telling Sheppard she works for Prince Ojin and explains the bet Sartorius had with Prince Ojin. Speaking of Sartorius, he's in his "lair" discussing his plans with the satellite, and fighting amongst his other half, unable to control it. In the forest, several Ra Yellow students hide, saying that Mathmatica won't find them there but he does, Mathmatica tells them that he'd run since the odds of them losing is 99.2% (I'd run to not hear his annoying dialogue anymore). Elsewhere, Jaden and crew hear a cry. It's Daimon, former eggwitch theif, insisting he duel Mathmatica.

Bonaparte and Crowler rush over in time to see the duel in progress. Oops! Mathmatica's score is shown at 4000 instead of the more likely 3000 in the US at 4:34 into the episode! Mathmatica activates Illegal Summon, bringing a monster to Daimon's field and he chooses Mid-Shield Gardna (1800) in Defense Mode. Daimon isn't impressed with Mathmatica's rhyme(which is incorrect, btw, as Gravity Bind is already active, it doesn't activate when Level 4+ monsters are summoned), saying rhyming is lame (and annoying, except in non-rap songs). IS also brings a monster to Mathmatica's field and Daimon chooses Doron (500) in Defense Mode. Oops again! At 5:18 into the US episode, Doron is shown with 500 ATK instead of DEF in the US since it's clearly indicating that it's in Defense Mode! There's a clarification at 5:29 into the episode. Next, Mathmatica activates Fatal Abacus, dealing 500 damage to Daimon when a monster is sent to Daimon's Grave. Plus, his Transitor the Magnum Man can attack directly by Tributing a monster, which Mathmatica does, leaving Daimon with 1000 after both FA and TMM's effects resolve.

Daimon activates Miracle Draw, letting him guess the top card and look at it. If he's right, Mathmatica takes 1000 damage but if not, he himself takes 1000 damage but he's right so Mathmatica's score drops to 2000 (further confirming my earlier error comparison about LP). Next he plays Pot of Greed. Then he summons the card he correctly guessed, Drawler (????) in Attack Mode and returns 6 cards to the deck, giving Drawler 3000 ATK. He attacks, destroying TMM and winning the duel. Jaden sees the Slifer Reds sleeping as Chazz explains that a duel's occurring between an Elvis Presley wannabe and Belowski. The EP wannabe (whom I'll call EPW) attacks with his monsters (2x Goblin Dancing Force ), leaving Belowski with 2000 LPs. (I really don't know how since the difference between both pairs of monsters is 1900 so Belowski should've been left with 200. EPW tells Belowski to just go and he does, playing Dark Factory of Mass Production, returning his 2 Mokey Mokeys back to his hand. Then he uses Poly for Mokey Mokey King (300) in Attack Mode and as usual, everyone else falls asleep so EPW hands the metals to  Belowski, saying he's going to sleep. Jaden and crew wake up from their "sleep" and hear a scream. They find Jasmine and Mindy, Alexis' friends dueling Maître D, another pro duelist. MD explains that his Bacchus gets 300 ATK for something not explained. Oops yet again! Baccus' ATK is shown in a LP meter instead of the ATK/DEF graphic in the US at 11:11 into the episode!

MD attacks, destroying Mermaid Knight and leaving the two girls with 1200 LPs. Next he plays Divine Chalice (I think that's what it's called), summoning a token to MD's field, which he uses to destroy Rescue Cat. The girls decide to surrender as Alexis shows, telling them they're pathetic and a disgrace to Obelisk Blue students and girls everywhere. She decides to duel in their place with their own LPs. MD accepts Alexis' condition and sets 1 monster to end his turn. Alexis draws, activating Machine Angel Ritual to bring out Cyber Angel Benten (1800) in Attack Mode. MD isn't impressed, saying he's seen tougher soufflés but Alexis isn't done and plays Ritual Weapon, giving Benten 1500 ATK for a total of 3300. Oops still again! Benten's ATK is shown in a LP meter instead of it's correct graphic in the US at 13:45 into the episode

She attacks and destroys Bacchus, leaving MD with 2600, then to 1000 due to Benten's effect. She sets 1 card to end her turn.  MD draws and flips up his face down monster Foaming Beauty (1200) to Attack Mode and due to her effect, Benten loses 1000 ATK, leaving her with 2300. Next he tributes his token and FB for Big Vintage Magna Mutton (2500) in Attack Mode and attacks, destroying CAB, leaving Alexis with 1000. Next he plays Bacchus' Banquet, which deals Alexis all Battle Damage Maitre D would've taken. Alexis draws and plays Cyber Tutu  (1000) in Attack Mode but due to MM's effect, her effect is negated. She sets 1 card to end her turn. MD draws and his MM gets 1000 ATK (seemingly by its effect according to Wiki but they don't tell you), putting its ATK to 3500.

He attacks but Alexis activates Hallowed Life Barrier, reducing Battle Damage to 0 by discarding 1 card. She draws and uses Pot of Greed. Next she summons Cyber Petit Angel (300) in Attack Mode, letting her add MAR to her hand from her deck. Next, she uses Fulfillment of the Contract to bring back Cyber Angel Idaten (1600) in Attack Mode and returns PoG to her hand via CAI's effect and activates PoG. Finally, she uses MAR  to summon Cyber Angel Dakini (2700) in Attack Mode, whose effect lets Alexis destroy 1 of MD's monsters so MM is destroyed. Alexis attacks directly with CAD, winning the duel.  Her friends ask if she's coming back to Obelisk Blue but she declines and walks away. Jaden and Chazz realize Alexis is struggling with the Society of Light and will be back to normal before they know it. Meanwhile, Bonaparte and Crowler congratulate their "pawns" on winning but they're not interested in dueling anymore. The only thing Crowler and Bonaparte can do now is start writing their résumés.
