Episode 21: Double Trouble Duel (3)

At the duel, the attack activates Yu-Gi-Oh's Mirror Force card, reflecting the attack. However, Para uses their monster's effect to defend it, putting the reflected attack on Monster Tamer, destroying it and leaving Para's score down to 900. Down below, Pegasus' goons can't find Kaiba anywhere so they head off to Mokuba's cell. Kaiba comes down from somewhere above and heads off himself. Back at the duel, Yu-Gi-Oh convinces Joey to take down Gate Guardian one section at a time and Joey attacks but the attack is neutralized by Para and Dox's monsters' effects. Dox takes out Flame Swordsman, leaving the maze coated in water, prime for Yu-Gi-Oh's Summoned Skull which he brings out (2500) in Attack Mode.

His attack goes unblocked as GG got selected by his Spellbinding Circle card triggered from their last attack, leaving it 700 ATK weaker and both Suijin as it gets destroyed and Dox pay the price, leaving Dox also down to 900. Para uses Remove Trap to take out SC. Joey brings out Red-Eyes Black Dragon (Red-Eyes B. Dragon in the CG) (2400) in Attack Mode. Yu-Gi-Oh uses Polymerization to bring out Black Skull Dragon (Just B. Skull Dragon in the CG) (3200) in Attack Mode. However, neither Para nor Dox are worried, stating that there's a no flying rule (would've been nice to mention that when the duel started), leaving BSD unable to attack. Dox uses Riryoku, letting them halve Yugi and Joey's scores to 400 and 650 respectively and add that to their monsters' ATK. (The real card takes half from a monster and adds it to the other) However, they have to end their turn there for using their card (not that either part of the GG can take out BSD anyway).

Yu-Gi-Oh still has a plan and moves Dark Magician out of the hats and at the maze exit. Then he uses Reborn the Monster (Monster Reborn in the CG) and Para decides to attack (which is rude and illegal in the CG) but the attack is blocked by Yu-Gi-Oh's new monster, Suijin. Joey draws and plays Copycat (0000) in Attack Mode and uses its effect to copy Riryoku (which isn't technically on the field, it's in the Grave and I should note that the real Copycat is Level 1 with 0 DEF and is an Effect Monster), leaving Para and Doxs' scores down to 450 and BSD's ATK up to 4000 (should be 4100 because the ATK boost is 900 and BSD's original ATK is 3200). The brothers think it's pointless when BSD can't fly. Para attacks Suijin but is blocked by its effect (which would've expired some time ago in the CG) but is taken out by Dox's attack. Yu-Gi-Oh knew this would happen and uses Monster Replace to have Dark Magician switch places with BSD, putting BSD at the exit. (A card called "Shift" has very similar artwork but is a Trap Card with a different effect.) His attack takes out GG and wins the duel. There's still one task ahead for them though but down below, Kaiba takes out the guards and finally finds Mokuba but when he goes to pick the lock, he's caught by Pegasus.

Up above, they still must pick a door and Yu-Gi-Oh decides to go with two coins, one of which will still be in his fist, the door they'll choose. Meanwhile, Pegasus predicts Kaiba won't lay a finger on him, giving us the hint of what's next. Back at the former duel, Yu-Gi-Oh's open hand contains one symbol, which the brothers say was wrong but Yu-Gi-Oh's real choice had two symbols so they couldn't lose and off they go into a door. Back down below, Pegasus is the only one that can make threats and by capturing Mokuba's soul in a card, he's ensured Kaiba's cooperation. Kaiba must now defeat Yu-Gi-Oh in a duel to earn the right to face Pegasus in a 2nd duel. If Kaiba cannot defeat Yu-Gi-Oh, Mokuba's soul remains Pegasus' forever!
