Episode 109: Primo's Plan (4)
At the duel, Yusei struggles to figure out how to beat Primo and why he couldn't Accel Synchro. As people look on, Meklord Emperor Wisel emits a light and causes all Signers' marks to glow. They know Yusei must be in some pretty deep trouble. Primo activates Wise A3 to send the attached Wisel Attack to the Graveyard and replace it with Wisel Attack 3 (1600) in Attack Mode, making Meklord Emperor Wisel Infinity's ATK climb to 5400. Worse still, WA3 will deal the difference as battle damage when MEWI attacks Yusei's Defense Position Formula Synchron. His attack forces Yusei to activate D2 Shield to double FS' DEF to 3000 this turn but it's still destroyed to leave Yusei down to 900 LPs. (The real D2 Shield's effect is permanent.)
Next, due to Skiel Attack 5's effect, Yusei takes 300 damage since his monster was destroyed in battle, leaving him down to 600 LPs. However, due to D2S' other effect, Yusei can draw 1 card. (The real card doesn't have this effect.) After a bee analogy (which isn't true because bees die when they lose their stingers), Primo ends his turn so Yusei draws but doesn't have much. Yusei uses Speed World 2's effect to remove 7 Speed Counters and draw 1 card. Next he summons Necro Linker (0000) in Defense Mode and sets 1 card to end his turn. Primo draws and activates Wise T3 to send the attached Wisel Top on his field to the Graveyard for Wisel Top 3 (600) in Attack Mode, which he then attaches to MEWI, raising its ATK to 5500.
His attack forces Yusei to activate Scrap-Iron Scarecrow to negate the attack but due to WT3's effect, Primo can negate the activation of a Trap Card and destroy it so his attack resumes, but Yusei discards Arbitrator from his hand to end the Battle Phase since one of his cards was destroyed this turn. With nothing left to do, Primo ends his turn so Yusei draws, knowing that everything is on the line, and plays Rescue Warrior (1600) in Attack Mode. His attack not only destroys itself and deals no Battle Damage by its first effect but returns Stardust Dragon to Yusei's field (2500) in Attack Mode, lowering MEWI's ATK to 3000. (The real card wouldn't be able to take SD as it's no longer a Monster Card.)
Next, Yusei uses NL's effect to tribute itself and revive Formula Synchron (200) in Attack Mode. Since FS was Special Summoned, Yusei draws 1 card but since it was Special Summoned by NL's effect, it cannot be Synchro Material this turn. Although  he can't Accel Synchro Summon this turn, he's ready to go and ends his turn. Primo draws, protesting that Yusei is virtually useless and needs to look into the past rather than a stone tablet that won't come to his aid. The Signer marks glow and merge with Yusei as he uses his monsters as Synchro Material when Primo tries to use MEWI's effect to take Stardust Dragon. As a result, he Synchro Summons Shooting Star Dragon (3300) in Attack Mode, which appears in a glow of light above the city. Everyone views the events from their vantage points and Illyaster knows it's a powerful monster but to find out its full strength, they have to watch as Yusei declares his attack.
