At the duel, while the MC shares the duel info with the crowd, Leo and Luna find
Breo's strategy to be pretty lame but if it works, Team 5Ds is out. That's the
news Jack finds out when he wakes up and Yusei draws and plays
Speed Spell - Accelerate Draw to draw 2 cards
since he has 12 Speed Counters but this puts Luna on edge as she's unsure it was
a good idea. Bruno figures that Yusei is trying to go at Breo with everything
before anymore of his Deck's cards are depleted. Yusei attacks directly to leave
Breo down to 1500 LPs but this lets Breo activate
Regretful Tuning to Special Summon Voltic Bicorn
(2500) in Attack Mode from his Graveyard. Knowing that he could lose his best
monster and the top 7 cards of his Deck next turn once VB is destroyed, Yusei
sets 1 card to end his turn. Breo draws and attacks but Yusei activates Synchro Striker Unit to give Stardust Dragon 1000 ATK to 3500 but Breo counters with Flattery to give the same boost to VB, leaving both monsters to be destroyed anyway, costing Yusei the next 7 cards of his Deck. Worse still, Breo activates Tuning Collapse to force Yusei to lose cards from the top of his Deck equal to his destroyed monster's Level. Since SD was Level 8, Yusei loses another 8 cards, leaving only 5 left. After Team Unicorn gloats, Yusei draws before Breo activates Tricolor Illusion, which'll force Yusei to follow instructions depending on what card he draws by its effect or he can destroy the card by sending the top card of his Deck tot he Graveyard. To Team Unicorn's shock, Yusei draws and summons Junk Synchron (1300) in Attack Mode. Next, he uses it, Card Breaker and Dash Warrior as Synchro Material for Junk Destroyer (2600) in Attack Mode Breo isn't so happy anymore and learns that JD can destroy cards up to the number of Synchro Materials used for its Synchro Summon. His attack forces Breo to activate Damage Lance to lower JD by 1000 to 1600 and deal Yusei 1000 damage to leave Yusei down to 1000 LPs but the attack still connects and costs Breo the duel. At the hospital, Carly asks Jack about Jean and learns that Jean may not only be good but the team's best. Breo trades with Jean and Jean will see to it that Yusei's last-ditch effort to win will not work. As they take off, Yusei notes to Jean how Jean and his team are taking away what means most to a duelist, their cards and Team Unicorn didn't always duel that way and recalls back when they were three separate duelists. The time has come for Team Unicorn to finish Yusei off and Jean draws before playing Trident Warrior (1800) in Attack Mode. Due to TW's effect, Jean can play a Level 3 monster like Delta Flyer (1500) in Attack Mode. Next, he uses DF's effect to make TW Level 5, then uses his monsters (as DF is a Tuner but they don't tell you that) as Synchro Material for Lightning Tricorn (2800) in Attack Mode. His attack forces Yusei to use Shield Warrior's effect from the Graveyard to prevent JD's destruction in battle but still takes battle damage to leave him down to 800 LPs. All Jean needs to do is use Speed World 2's effect to win the duel as he has a Speed Spell in his hand and that's what he does but Yusei uses Damage Eater's effect from the Graveyard to remove itself and 1 card in Yusei's hand from play make the damage 0 and add it to his score, raising it to 1600. Jean sets 2 cards to end his turn, finding it ironic that Yusei is using the very cards lost to the Graveyard. Yusei draws and activates Speed World 2's effect to destroy Lightning Tricorn. Next he attacks directly but Jean activates Reanimation Wave to halve the battle damage, bringing his score down to 2700, then Special Summon Lightning Tricorn again. To end his turn, Yusei plays Sonic Chick (300) in Defense Mode. Jean draws and plays Rhinotaurus (1800) in Attack Mode. His attacks leave Yusei defenseless and worst of all, Rhinoraurus can now attack a second time since two of Yusei's monsters were destroyed in battle. It could be all over for Yusei! |
