Episode 91: Clash at Crash Town (1)
At sunset in Crash Town, while some modify the entrance sign, others deal with Barbara kicking members of Lawton's team out for seemingly no good reason. Lawton admits to saying what he said but it's the end of the line and they must now duel for the rights to stay in Lawton Town with the loser going to the mines. One of them can't take it and tries to run but is caught and forced to duel, and becomes confident he can win but angry that his opponent betrayed him. Lawton breaks the news to Nico and West and assures they won't go to the mines but they maintain that Kalin is coming and that their father would clobber Lawton. However, everyone's train of thought is interrupted as a familiar tune fills the air.
It's Kalin and he suggests Lawton leave or he'll be the one to make him leave but Lawton has something Kalin wants but Yusei arrives to add that it won't be for long. Yusei attempts to free the kids but ends up getting yanked off his Duel Runner and asked to duel with Kalin against Lawton, which is exactly what they wanted. Once Lawton adds his handicap of a 10 card hand to the duel, Yusei has second thoughts but agrees to the duel after Kalin does. After duel preparations take place, Lawton draws and summons Gatling Ogre (800) in Attack Mode. Next he sets 5 cards before using GO's effect to send his face down cards to the Grave and bring Kalin's score to 0. However, Kalin is still in the duel as he plays Infernity Zero (0000) in Defense Mode by sending all cards in his hand to the Graveyard since he took effect damage that made his LPs 0.
Furthermore, with IZ on the field, Kalin cannot lose the duel but IZ will get a Doom Counter for every 500 damage Kalin would've taken and Kalin will lose when it gets 3 Doom Counters. Nevertheless, Lawton sets 5 more cards and proceeds to use GO's effect once more but Kalin counters with Infernity Doom Slinger's effect from the Graveyard to remove itself from play, then let Kalin draw 1 card. If it's a monster, Lawton takes 4800 damage but if not, Kalin takes 4000 damage and would lose by IZ's effect. Lawton decides not to risk it and ends his turn so Kalin draws and sets 1 card to end his turn.
Yusei draws and plays Justice Bringer (1700) in Attack Mode but Lawton knows Yusei has Effect Veiler (which isn't a Trap Card as both of them state) and activates Pinpoint Shot to declare that card's name and send it to the Graveyard. Yusei still sets 1 card to end his turn so Lawton draws and puts GO in Defense Mode. Next he equips it with Double Arms to double the effect damage it can deal. Then, he goes to use GO's effect but Kalin activates Dodge Roll to reduce the effect damage he takes to 0 for one time. However, Lawton can use GO's effect once more and does but Yusei counters with Half Shield to halve the effect damage, giving IZ 1 Doom Counter. Kalin begins urging Lawton to use the effect again but Lawton only has enough to give IZ 1 more Doom Counter and is having second thoughts.
Lawton decides to end his turn so Kalin draws and Special Summons Infernity Archfiend (1800) in Attack Mode by its effect. Next, he uses IA's other effect to add Infernity Mirage, which he then Summons (0000) in Attack Mode. Since he has no cards in his hand again, Kalin uses IM's effect to tribute itself for Infernity Beetle (1200) and Infernity Beast (1600) in Attack Mode from the Graveyard. Then he uses IB's effect to tribute itself for two more Infernity Beetles. Then he attacks with one of the IBs but Lawton activates Back Attack Ambush to not only end the Battle Phase but give Lawton an Ambush Token for each of Kalin's monsters, giving him three and Lawton can tribute one to deal Kalin 500 damage. Lawton goes to tribute the tokens but Yusei uses JB's effect to negate their effects. Yusei and Kalin will take Lawton out!
