Episode 61: Truth and Consequences (2)
At the duel, Leo hopes Akiza is winning for everyone's sake and Akiza takes out Misty's Dragon Queen of Tragic Endings with Black Rose Dragon's attack, leaving Misty down to 3500 LPs. Up in the booth, Sayer questions the Dark Signers' intelligence and wants Akiza to educate them. Meanwhile, Trudge is having no better luck getting the hatch open but Mina needs Jack's help and that's all Trudge needs to hear and he forces the hatch off completely. Now free, Yusei must go help Akiza but stops when he learns of what's going on. Back at the duel, Misty draws and sends Sad Story - Sorrowful Memories to the Graveyard to bring back Dragon Queen of Tragic Endings (1900) in Attack Mode. Next, she equips it with Reptilianne Rage, giving it 800 ATK to 2700. Her attack prompts Akiza to use her face down Rose Blizzard to negate the attack and put DQoTE in Defense Mode.

Yusei arrives at the duel site and learns of what happened. When he sees Sayer, he realizes who it is and goes after him. Back at the duel, Akiza draws and uses BRD's effect to remove the Rose Fairy in her Grave to force DQoTE into Attack Mode and make its ATK 0. Yusei enters and is tackled to the floor before he can get an answer to his question. While they struggle, Akiza takes out the weakened DQoTE to leave Misty down to 1100 LPs. However, due to RR's effect, BRD loses 800 ATK to leave it with 1600. As a precaution, Akiza plays Dark Verger (1000) in Defense Mode to end her turn. Inside the room, it's Yusei that brings up the first answered question as he learns why Sayer is here to control Akiza.
While they argue, Misty draws and plays Reptilianne Gardna (2000) in Defense Mode, then sends Sad Story - Unwavering Truth on her field to the Graveyard to revive Dragon Queen of Tragic Endings in Attack Mode once more. Her attack with DQoTE not only destroys BRD to leave Akiza down to 1600 LPs but lets Misty draw 1 card and force Akiza to discard 1 card in her hand. Akiza draws and uses Fragrance Storm to destroy her DV and draw 1 card. Since the card she drew with FS' effect is a Plant-Type monster, she gets to draw again. Next, she summons Copy Plant (0000) in Defense Mode. Since she played a Tuner monster, Akiza Special Summons DV once more. She sets 2 cards to end her turn.
Misty draws and uses Advance Force to allow her to play Earthbound Immortal Ccarayhua (2800) in Attack Mode with one less Tribute. (Though the way she says it from 10:01 to 10:06 into the US episode makes it seem like it still needs 2 Tributes.) Back inside, Sayer admits to causing Toby's disappearance and lying to the public about what the investigation found. However, after being nearly blasted out of the building, Yusei reveals that he recorded their whole conversation to Misty and Misty has her EI take out Sayer. Afterwards, Misty becomes good and Akiza slowly does the same. However, the entity won't allow Misty to forfeit and eventually regains control but Misty has set her sights on Yusei instead.
Nevertheless, Misty attacks Akiza directly but Akiza activates Ground Capture to halve the Battle Damage and draw 1 card (since she took at least 1000 points of Battle Damage but they don't tell you that), bringing her score down to 200. Misty remains confident she'll win and sets 1 card to end her turn. Akiza draws and uses Copy Plant's effect to make it DV's Level. Next she summons Hedge Guard (0000) in Attack Mode and uses Shining Rebirth (though she calls it a Trap Card from 15:54 to 15:57 into the US episode to use her monsters as Synchro Material for Black Rose Dragon (2400) in Attack Mode. Next she uses BRD's first effect to destroy all cards on the field but SR protects BRD's destruction this turn. However, Misty activates Doom Gazer to deal Akiza 300 damage per card destroyed.
Misty's good side convinces Akiza to keep fighting and Akiza activates Nature's Reflection to make Misty take the damage instead, winning the duel and freeing more captured souls. As she flies through the air and loses her necklace, Misty says to tell Toby she loved him. The others run to her but Akiza is in no mood to speak with them and instead picks up the necklace and vows to make it up to Toby. Worse still, their time is up and a new mark appears in the sky. Who could the sixth signer be?
