Episode 147: Conquering the Past (2)

At the duel, Ojama Yellow confirms that Polymerization is in Jaden's hand but even Bastion's words don't convince Jaden as he uses Revoke Fusion to discard Polymerization and send  Elemental Hero Wildedge from his Deck to his Grave in order to bring out Elemental Hero Bladedge (2600) in Attack Mode. Then he uses Hero Mask and discards Elemental Hero Avian to make Bladedge have Avian's name. Thanks to Bladedge's new name, Jaden can activate Feather Shot, allowing Bladedge/Avian to attack a number of times for each Elemental Hero he has in play, he takes out Baou's Fiend Slime Mold, leaving GB with 900 and finishes him off by taking out Twinheaded Beast, sending GB to the stars. Bastion and Tanya explain that Yubel is the one behind all of this. Jaden receives further convincing words that he and SK are one. If Jaden cannot control the Supreme King's power, they might not be able to stop him!

Meanwhile, Crowler gets Zane lying down but Zane says it's pointless because his heart is going to give. Crowler goes on a laundry list of regrets before the doors to the mysterious object open and out comes Jesse but he's lost his familiar accent, has different eyes and is talking differently. Zane just wants a duel for his final bit of life so he has no regrets. The duel gets underway as Yubel/Jesse plays Advanced Dark, then summons Advanced Crystal Beast Amethyst Cat (1200) in Attack Mode. He sets 1 card to end his turn. Jaden's group sees this duel from afar and race towards it as Zane goes, playing Cyber Dragon (2100) in Attack Mode.

After the group discover it is Jesse, Zane attacks taking out ACBAC but not dealing any damage thanks to one of AD's many effects, including where he can discard a Crystal Beast to his Grave and negate the damage. Zane figures he can try harder to damage Jesse's score and sets 1 card to end his turn. YJ (Yubel/Jesse for short) plays Advanced Crystal Beast Sapphire Pegasus (1800) in Attack Mode and like the original, it puts Advanced Crystal Beast Ruby Carbuncle in his Spell and Trap Zone, triggering its effect as well to bring out itself and ACBAC again. Next he uses M-Force to power up his ACBSP's ATK to 2300 and attacks with it but Zane counters with Attack Reflector Unit to tribute his CD and bring out Cyber Barrier Dragon (2800) in Defense Mode.

True to the original, ACBAC can attack directly by halving its ATK so Zane's score drops by 600 to 3400.  Zane refuses to back out of the duel and draws, switching CBD to Attack Mode, then using Poly for Cyber Twin Dragon (2800) in Attack Mode. His first three attacks do destroy monsters but do not deal Battle Damage so he uses De-Fusion to swap his CTD for 2 Cyber Dragons and attacks with the first one to leave Jesse down to 1900. The 2nd one attacks and the gang watch in horror.
