Episode 132: A New World Order

Inside the new dimension, Bastion starts his calculations on where they are (at least I think that's what he's doing) and both Syrus and Atticus want to stay where they are while the others hike. Meanwhile, Jaden is looking for Jesse and upon leaning on a rocky wall, the wall gives way and Jaden tumbles into another part of the "cave" discovering train tracks while Axel above finds his footprints. Axel meets Jaden just as he's about to find out about the owners of the cart that whizzes by him, saying they probably shouldn't attract much attention given that they're looking for Jesse. Still above, Bastion finds an error in his calculations before dropping downward from a similar incident as Jaden and Axel. The group is finally reunited and to Bastion's surprise, Tanya is there too and she explains what's been going on thus far. The group arrives in time to see a Haniwa being bossed around and when Jaden starts to step in, Axel warns that he'll become like them. They reach the power source for the lights and Jaden wants to duel the guard standing there while the other deal with the lights. Nothing they say stops Jaden from the duel, despite Tanya's warning that damage is real and losers go to the stars.

Jaden's opponent begins with Summon Storm, which as Tanya explains allows him to play a WIND monster for 800 LPs, bringing him down to 3200 as he brings out Whirlwind Prodigy (1500) in Attack Mode, then tributes it for Simorgh, Bird of Divinity (2700) in Attack Mode. (Not explained here is that WP can count as 2 Tributes for a WIND monster's Tribute Summon). He sets 1 card and activates Level Tax to end his turn, triggering Simorgh's effect, dealing 1000 damage to both players but because only Jaden has neither a Spell Card nor a Trap Card face down, he takes 1000 damage, leaving him with 3000. (The real just needs 2 Spell or Trap Cards on your field to stop you from taking its effect damage.) Jaden draws and postulates his strategy. Oops! At 11:04 into the dubbed episode, Jaden thinks Mudballman has enough ATK to take out Simorgh when he really means DEF, which can defend against Simorgh. Jaden plays Elemental Hero Bubbleman (1200) in Defense Mode and draws twice by its effect. (" ") Then he sets 2 cards face down to end his turn, not taking any effect damage from Simorgh.

For his opponent's turn, he plays Tornado Bird (1100) in Attack Mode and uses its ability to pay 600 Life Points and draw 1 card for each WIND monster he has, putting his score at 2600 but the cards cannot be used this turn. (It's actually the Wing Requital card he plays next that has this effect.) He attacks with his monsters and leaves Jaden defenseless and down to 1900 Life Points. He ends his turn by setting 2 cards face down and using Simorgh's effect. (Why bother when no one will take damage?) Jaden uses Graceful Charity to draw three times and discard Burstinatrix and Necroshade. Then he brings out Neo-Spacian Grand Mole (900) in Attack Mode and attacks but his opponent activates a Trap Card (Glory Level Talisman according to Wiki) that negates the effect of the attacking monster and destroys the monster after being equipped. His opponent uses Icarus Attack to tribute Tornado Bird and destroy both of Jaden's face down cards.

Next he activates Explosion Wing to deal Jaden 500 damage for each card destroyed this turn totaling 1500 damage, leaving Jaden with a sparse 400. Jaden sets 2 cards face down to end his turn. His opponent has had fun watching Jaden squirm in this duel but it's time for it to end and attacks. Jaden retaliates by activating A Hero Emerges and Winged Kuriboh is picked and played (300) in Attack Mode. With a replay triggered, his opponent continues his attack as Jaden activates Transcendent Wings to bring out Winged Kuriboh LV10 (300) in Attack Mode, whose effect destroys Simorgh and wins the duel for Jaden. Axel finally reaches the top and cuts the power, creating a little pandemonium for the rulers down below. Before he exists, Jaden's opponent requests Jaden to defeat the Supreme King as the mess is his doing. Tanya shows them a room that leads to another part of the dimension but cannot go herself as she has to protect her people. Bastion agrees to stay with her, insisting that he isn't under a love spell but rather she might have vital info. Jaden mentally says they'll find Jesse wherever he is.
